After Worst Attacks on Jews Since the Holocaust, Biden Administration Announces Plan to Fight… Islamophobia – Gets Roasted on Twitter | The Gateway Pundit

The Hamas attacks in Israel on October 7th were the worst attacks on Jews since the Holocaust. Since then, we have seen disgusting acts of anti-Semitism on American college campuses and in the streets of our cities.

In response to this, the Biden administration has just announced a plan to fight Islamophobia.

How does this even make sense? In short, it doesn’t. This is insane.

The Associated Press reports:

President Joe Biden’s administration is developing a national strategy to combat Islamophobia as the White House faces skepticism from many Muslim Americans for its staunch support of Israel’s military assault on Hamas in Gaza.

Plans for the initiative, which the White House billed as the first of its kind, were announced Wednesday. It is meant to bring together lawmakers, advocacy groups and other community leaders with the administration in order to “counter the scourge of Islamophobia and hate in all its forms,” the White House said.

“Moving forward, the President, Vice President, and our entire Administration will continue working to ensure every American has the freedom to live their lives in safety and without fear for how they pray, what they believe, and who they are,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement announcing the strategy.

Kamala Harris made the announcement on Twitter:

Taking on hate is a national priority.

Today, @POTUS and I are announcing the country’s first National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia.

This action is the latest step forward in our work to combat a surge of hate in America. pic.twitter.com/pxZAn7RymY

Pay attention, Jewish Democrats. While your fellow Jews are being harassed and attacked all across the country, being forced to barricade themselves in libraries, hide in their dorms, and live under threat, THIS is what your fellow Democrats are focused on. Sickening. https://t.co/i2fmsIuVIM

— Christian (@ChristianCamara) November 1, 2023

This is beyond tone deaf. It’s sickening.

Prostitution Booming in New York City Again – Eric Adams Blames Border Crisis | The Gateway Pundit

It’s like the 1970s all over again.

New York City is filled with crime, dirty streets, and now prostitution as well. The sharp rise in illegal immigrants has brought with it a boom in the industry of selling sex. All that’s missing now is peepshows and a resurgence in the use of crack.

Mayor Eric Adams is blaming this on the border crisis and for once, he is right.

The New York Post reports:

Migrants are behind boom in NYC’s red-light district, Eric Adams says

Mayor Eric Adams has blamed the rise in prostitution in a Queens neighborhood on an influx of female Venezuelan migrants who are struggling to find other work in the Big Apple.

Hizzoner said the surge in “illegal” activity taking place on street corners in Corona is just “one example” of how the nation’s ongoing migrant crisis is crippling the city.

It is unclear whether the Venezuelan migrants the mayor referenced are being sex-trafficked to perform these acts, or if they are soliciting sex of their own free will.

“This is what happens when you create an atmosphere that people can’t provide for themselves — you can’t work, you can’t provide for your job and have to turn to illegal activities to do so,” Adams told reporters during a Tuesday briefing.

“When I talk about the spiraling impact of how this is going to affect our city, this is what I’m talking about,” he said. “We are going to create generational problems based on the failure of the national government, and this is one example of that.”

Breitbart News has more:

Prostitutes have even been seen working in the neighborhood during the day and sometimes soliciting children as they leave school. New York Mayor Eric Adams, who previously warned that the migrant crisis would dramatically alter his city, said that the eruption in prostitution just represents yet another example of its impact.

Adams told reporters that he has visited the area himself and confirmed that “illegal” activity has been taking place. Though he said that a majority of the sex workers are Venezuelan women migrants, he did not say if they were prostitutes prior to arrival or if they turned to it as a means of survival.

New York City flourished under Rudy Giuliani and that New York is already long gone.

Communist Maduro Tricks Joe Biden – Once Again Riggs Elections in Venezuela | The Gateway Pundit

Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro and President Joe Biden.

The communist dictator of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, orchestrated a new fraud in the primary elections of his country.

The suspension of the primary elections was decreed last Monday, 30, by the Supreme Court of Justice of Venezuela, controlled by judges aligned with Nicolas Maduro. The Court nullified the primary elections at the request of a congressman linked to Maduro.

Jose Brito, a Chavista congressman, filed a motion in court alleging irregularities in the electoral process.

As reported by TGP in August, the U.S. lifted commercial sanctions on Venezuelan oil under the promise of free elections in Venezuela. The agreement involved the release of five opposition political prisoners, while the Biden administration agreed to ease sanctions on Venezuelan oil, gas, and gold for a period of six months, on the condition that Venezuela would allow free elections in 2024.

However, despite Venezuela’s promise, allies of the current dictator decided to suspend the primary elections that elected right-wing candidate Maria Corina Machado, a Maduro opponent, as the main contender for the 2024 electoral race.

In June, Mrs. Corina Machado was banned by the Venezuelan dictatorship from holding public office for 15 years, in a case of political persecution like the processes imposed on conservative candidates such as Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil and Donald Trump in US.

In addition to the suspension of the results, the court ordered the National Primary Commission to provide details of all phases of the process. The entity was responsible for organizing the election.

Despite being unable to participate in elections, Corina Machado was elected to run for the presidential elections with 92% of the votes. In total, more than 2.3 million voters cast their ballots.

The suspension of the results may impact the agreement between Venezuela and the United States, but there is still no information on how Washington intends to proceed in this case.

Maduro, who has been in power since 2013, won the elections in 2018, but the result was not recognized by the opposition. The current Marxist regime has decimated the country.

Ranka Vucetic on 3 Common Real Estate Problems Solved by Bespoke Service

In the bustling world of real estate, finding the perfect agent can often feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. Amidst a sea of property listings, financial jargon, and market fluctuations, how do you find an agent who truly understands your unique needs and aspirations?

Ranka Vucetic, a seasoned Realtor Associate at Compass RE in New Jersey, believes she has the answer. With 25 years of experience and a belief in personalized service, Ranka has cultivated a reputation as a trusted advocate. She even recently featured as a top 10 agent in her state.

But before Ranka can share her wisdom, it’s important to lay out the typical obstacles buyers and sellers face. Realtors that promise the world are everywhere, but those who are open about real estate’s less photogenic realities are rare. Here’s how bespoke service could be the answer to all of your real estate questions:

1. Practical properties, not picture-perfect

The Realtor Associate’s first piece of advice is a breath of fresh air in today’s image-driven world: “Homes are to be lived in, and kitchens are to be cooked in,” she offers. “Magazine-perfect homes do not exist.”

Ranka encourages her clients to prioritize functionality and comfort over pursuing idealistic properties that often only exist in brochures or corporate websites. Bespoke service allows Ranka the time to understand her clients’ lifestyles, preferences, and practical needs, countering the instinct to buy the most attractive home on the first showing.

Instead of pushing clients toward unrealistic ideals, Ranka works to find homes catering to their daily requirements. Her hands-on advocacy allows her to evaluate properties with her clients, providing candid insights into each. This personalized approach ensures that her clients are not just buying or selling a house but taking a step that suits their unique needs.

2. Financial forethought, not fleeting fantasies

Countless real estate agents will watch your reaction to a visually pleasing property while keeping an eye on your wallet. It’s easy to fall in love with a charming house—but maintain a rational perspective.

Bespoke service means looking beyond the asking price to assess the actual cost of a property, including potential repairs and renovations. “Be able to walk away,” Ranka advises. “Even when you love a house, it could have problems that are too expensive to deal with.”

By providing comprehensive insights into a property’s condition and any potential hidden expenses, Ranka shows clients the reality past the closing table. This diligence and commitment to buyers’ financial well-being makes bespoke service the safest in the real estate industry.

3. Balanced buying, not blind belief

‘Compromise’ is a word many real estate agents are afraid of. They want to sell you the dream, and the day-to-day truth is often incompatible with their financial aspirations.

However, Ranka emphasizes the importance of compromise in the real estate journey: “Houses are just like people: man-made. They come with wonderful character but also some less wonderful things. Compromise!”

Like every person, every home has its unique positive and negative qualities. The Realtor Associate’s bespoke service centers on helping clients strike the right balance between their desires and practical constraints.

Ranka’s 25 years of experience have given her insight into the New Jersey real estate market. She knows when to advise clients to compromise on certain features or amenities in exchange for a property that fits their overall vision and budget. Understanding clients’ priorities ensures they feel heard and valued throughout the process.

In the words of one of Ranka’s clients: “Good realtors sell your house. But great realtors sell your house, understand the market, calm your nerves, communicate clearly and regularly, anticipate issues, and have a plan to mitigate them. They serve as your greatest advocate to ensure potential buyers see the value in your home and appreciate it so much that you get your asking price.”

So, if you’re a home buyer or seller looking for a real estate partner who can get you the best outcome, make ‘bespoke service’ the first thing you Google. Bespoke service is not just about buying or selling a property; it’s about realizing your real estate dreams with confidence and clarity.

Can AI testing be trusted?

Organizations increasingly turn to AI-powered testing solutions to streamline their quality assurance processes and improve software reliability. As this reliance on AI grows, a fundamental question emerges: when can such testing methodologies be confidently trusted? The effectiveness and reliability of AI-driven testing hinge on a complex interplay of factors that demands a closer examination.

This article delves into the nuanced nature of AI assistance in software testing, deciphering the conditions and considerations establishing trust in this next-gen approach to quality assurance.

How AI Facilitates Software Testing

AI has brought transformative advancements to various domains, and software testing is no exception. By leveraging AI capabilities, software testing processes have become more speedy, accurate, and comprehensive. Let’s overview ten major use cases of AI in software testing:

Automated Test Case Generation: AI algorithms analyze requirements and code to generate test cases automatically. This ensures broader test coverage and reduces the manual effort required to create test scenarios.Defect Prediction and Analysis: AI can analyze historical data, code patterns, and bug reports to predict potential defects. Testers can then focus on critical areas and prioritize their efforts accordingly.Anomaly Detection: AI-powered tools can detect abnormal behavior during testing, helping identify potential defects that might go unnoticed through traditional methods. This proactive approach enhances defect identification.Automated Test Execution: AI-driven testing tools excel in executing a large volume of test cases across diverse configurations and environments. This not only saves time but also improves testing accuracy.Log Analysis and Bug Detection: AI algorithms can analyze log files and error reports to identify patterns associated with bugs. This accelerates bug detection and resolution by pinpointing relevant information.Test Environment Management: AI can dynamically set up, configure, and manage test environments. This reduces the overhead of environment setup, allowing testers to focus more on actual testing.Automated Bug Triage: AI can categorize and prioritize incoming bug reports based on historical data and severity. It then assigns these reports to the appropriate developers or teams, expediting bug resolution.Performance Testing: AI can simulate real-world user loads to identify performance bottlenecks and stress points in an application. This aids in optimizing performance before deployment.Usability Testing: Through simulated user interactions, AI identifies usability issues and suggests improvements to enhance the overall user experience. This ensures that the software meets user expectations.Regression Testing Automation: AI automates the process of running regression tests when new code is added. By quickly identifying any regressions, this approach ensures that new changes do not disrupt existing functionality.

As we can see, integrating AI in software testing offers multiple benefits. It accelerates testing cycles, enhances accuracy and test coverage, and reduces human error and effort, thereby allowing testers to focus on more complex, high-level tasks. Besides, AI can perform testing tasks round the clock, enabling continuous testing and faster feedback on code changes without human intervention. And that’s not an excessive list of perks that AI brings to the software development process.

However, integrating AI into existing testing workflows requires expertise and careful consideration of the specific tools and techniques that align with the project’s goals and needs. Besides, implementing AI in software testing can be risky due to potential algorithm biases, data quality, ethical considerations, and the complexity of software behavior. Further, we will consider these risks in more detail.

Potential Risks AI Poses to Software Testing Outcomes

As AI becomes increasingly integrated into the software testing process, it is vital to recognize the potential risks and threats that come hand-in-hand with innovations. From biases entrenched in AI algorithms to concerns about data privacy and explainability issues, this section delves into significant risks that accompany the implementation of AI-driven testing. By exploring these pitfalls, we can navigate the intricate balance between harnessing AI’s power and ensuring a responsible, ethical, and secure testing approach.

Bias in Test Case Generation

AI systems learn from historical data, and if that data contains biases, the AI model can perpetuate and amplify those biases. AI-driven test case generation can inadvertently introduce biases into the testing process. For instance, if an AI algorithm is trained predominantly on positive test cases, it might overlook critical negative scenarios. This can lead to incomplete test coverage and diminish the effectiveness of testing efforts. To avoid that, employ diverse training data that covers a wide range of user demographics and behaviors. Implement bias detection and mitigation techniques during both the training and testing phases. Incorporate human oversight and regularly review the AI model to ensure ongoing fairness.

Limited Human Understanding

Complex AI algorithms can generate test cases that are difficult for humans to comprehend. The lack of transparency in the decision-making process of AI-generated test cases can hinder developers’ ability to understand the tests, diagnose issues, and make informed decisions for improvements. To cope with that, prioritize human expertise in reviewing and validating AI-generated tests to ensure they align with QA engineers’ understanding of the system’s behavior. You can also develop visualization tools that simplify complex scenarios for human understanding and conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions between AI and testing teams to bridge the gap.

Data Privacy and Security

AI testing requires access to substantial amounts of data, which can raise concerns about data privacy and security breaches if the data is not properly handled, stored, and anonymized. Implementing strong, all-round security measures for sensitive data used in AI testing is the key as well as regular audit and monitoring data handling practices.

False Positives and Negatives

AI-driven testing tools can sometimes generate false positives (indicating problems that don’t exist) or false negatives (missing actual issues). False positives can lead to wasted time and effort investigating non-existent problems, while false negatives can result in crucial defects escaping detection. By conducting comprehensive validation of AI-generated results, and integrating human expertise to review and confirm test outcomes, this risk can be minimized.

Overemphasis on Automation

An overreliance on AI-driven testing might lead to a decreased emphasis on human intuition, creativity, and domain knowledge. This could result in missing exploratory testing that human testers excel at. Counter overemphasis on automation by maintaining a balanced approach. Incorporate exploratory testing, encourage human testers to provide domain expertise, and ensure that AI complements human intuition rather than replacing it completely.

Dependency on Training Data

If the training data used to train AI models is limited or doesn’t encompass a wide range of scenarios, the AI might struggle to generalize effectively to real-world situations. The risk is particularly relevant when dealing with rare or novel events that are underrepresented in the training data. This can lead to poor performance when faced with inputs or situations that differ from the training data, resulting in suboptimal outcomes and reduced reliability of the AI system. QA engineers should ensure diverse and comprehensive training data that covers a wide spectrum of possible inputs, regularly update the training data, implement data augmentation and synthetic data generation techniques to fill gaps. Additionally, incorporate techniques such as transfer learning for AI to leverage knowledge from related domains and enhance its performance in new contexts.

Ethical Considerations

AI decisions can have ethical implications, especially in areas where human judgment, empathy, and contextual understanding are critical. If AI is solely responsible for test case generation, it could overlook certain user perspectives, leading to products that cater only to specific demographics or user behaviors. Address ethical considerations by setting clear ethical guidelines, conducting thorough ethical reviews, and continuously monitoring AI behavior for potential biases or unintended consequences.

Skill Gap

The demand for specialized expertise in AI techniques and technologies exceeds the available supply of skilled professionals. This can lead to challenges in effectively implementing and maintaining AI systems, resulting in suboptimal outcomes, increased costs, and delayed projects. Bridging the skill gap requires investments in training and upskilling to ensure that testing teams possess the necessary knowledge to leverage AI effectively.

Balancing AI’s strengths with human expertise is key to navigating the challenges successfully and reap the benefits of AI-powered software testing. By embracing transparency, rigorous validation, and continuous monitoring, we can harness AI’s capabilities while minimizing its pitfalls and ensure that our pursuit of innovation remains steadfast and secure.

Under What Conditions AI-Powered Software Testing Can Be Trusted?

Credible AI testing approaches inspire confidence in developers, testers, and stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and efficient bug resolution. Ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and ethical soundness of AI in software testing demands a thorough exploration of the prerequisites that establish a foundation of trust. Here are fundamental criteria that trustworthy AI-powered software should meet.

Validation and Verification. AI testing tools must undergo rigorous validation and verification to establish their accuracy and effectiveness. Extensive testing against known benchmarks and real-world scenarios helps ensure the AI reliably detects bugs, vulnerabilities, and performance issues.

Transparent Decision-Making. Trust in AI-powered testing relies on transparency. Developers and testers should be able to understand how the AI arrives at its decisions and recommendations. Explainable AI techniques, such as model interpretability methods, provide insights into the factors influencing AI-generated test cases and results.

Ethical Guidelines. AI testing tools must adhere to ethical guidelines to avoid biases, discrimination, and unfairness. Developers should be cautious about the training data used, ensuring it is diverse and representative. Regular monitoring and audits should be conducted to identify and rectify any potential ethical concerns.

Human Oversight and Expertise. While AI can enhance testing, human expertise is crucial for ensuring the relevance and accuracy of the generated test cases. Human testers should collaborate with AI systems to validate results, confirm the significance of detected issues, and provide domain-specific insights that AI might miss.

Continuous Learning and Adaptation. AI models used for testing should continuously learn and adapt. This involves updating the models with new data and insights to account for changing software features, user behaviors, and emerging trends. Regular model updates prevent stagnation and ensure the AI remains effective and beneficial for software quality assurance and testing (lightpointgl0bal dotcom — software-testing).

Comprehensive Testing Approach. AI should complement existing testing methods, not replace them entirely. Trust is built when AI is integrated into a comprehensive testing strategy that includes manual testing, automated testing, and exploratory testing. This approach provides diverse perspectives and validates AI-generated results.

Validation in Real-world Scenarios. AI-generated tests should be validated in real-world scenarios to ensure they accurately reflect user interactions, system behaviors, and potential issues. This validation helps bridge the gap between controlled testing environments and real-world usage.

Data Privacy and Security Measures. AI-powered testing involves accessing and analyzing data. Trust is built when robust data privacy and security measures are in place to protect sensitive information. Strong encryption, anonymization, and access controls should be implemented to prevent data breaches.

Collaboration Between AI and Human Testers. Collaboration between AI experts and human testers is essential. Trust is fostered when AI developers and testers work together to fine-tune AI models, validate results, address issues, and refine testing strategies based on real-world feedback.

Validation against Historical Data. AI-powered testing should be validated against historical data from past software releases. This ensures that the AI can accurately detect known issues and vulnerabilities identified and addressed in earlier versions.

Thorough Testing of AI Models. AI models used in testing should themselves be thoroughly tested to identify any potential biases, weaknesses, or vulnerabilities. Rigorous testing and validation of AI models contribute to their reliability and accuracy.

Feedback Loop and Continuous Improvement. Trust is established when there is a feedback loop between developers and AI systems. Regular feedback from human testers and developers helps improve the accuracy of AI-generated test cases, addressing any issues that arise.

Organizations should be mindful of these conditions to ensure that AI-powered testing becomes an integral and reliable component of their full-cycle software development process. By adhering to these conditions, they can harness the benefits of AI while maintaining the highest standards of software quality.

Closing Remarks

As we unlock the power of AI, the careful assessment of its trustworthiness becomes not just a requirement but a cornerstone in our pursuit of software excellence. The collaboration between AI and human expertise, combined with comprehensive testing strategies, forms the bedrock of credibility. By adhering to rigorous validation, transparency, ethical considerations, and real-world validation, we can ensure that AI contributes to the advancement of software development while maintaining the highest standards of reliability and accuracy.

39-Year Intel Analyst: ‘There WILL Be Multiple Terrorist Attacks in the U.S. Over the Next 14 Months’ | The Gateway Pundit

An entrepreneur from California who works in the field of geotracking, geolocation, and intel analysis is warning that over the next 14 months the U.S. will suffer a wave of terrorism on our own soil.

Tony Seruga, who claims to have been an intel analyst for 39 years, jumped to his X account on Tuesday to warn that we are on the eve of wave after wave of terror attacks on our homeland. Seruga is not alone, of course.

According to his LinkedIn page, Seruga, who describes himself as a “hardcore serial entrepreneur who built or sold over 600 businesses,” said that he has performed intel services as a private individual for many governments and federal agencies.

But whatever his background, the terror attacks he is warning about might just seem like common sense that can be gleaned without any deep intel background.

“This post will be attacked by the left, the marxists, the trolls, Antifa, BLM, even the intelligence community,” Seruga said at the start of his X post.

Seruga goes on to describe some of his experience.

“I’m a 39 year intelligence analyst,” he said, “I and my team’s clients include the United States Government, British Government, Israeli Government, Saudi Arabia Government, NEOM, Microsoft, Dell Computers, GE, IBM, General Motors Corporation, The Scott Fetzer Corporation, Managing Dutch East India Company Archives for UNESCO, Procter & Gamble, Raytheon, Mastercard, Walmart, Northrop Grumman, Berkshire Hathaway, General Dynamics, BAE Systems, Standard Oil aka ExxonMobil, Saudi Aramco, et al.”

This post will be attacked by the left, the marxists, the trolls, antifa, blm, even the intelligence community.

— Tony Seruga (@TonySeruga) October 31, 2023

Then he added a little statement of the obvious: “Intelligence is NEVER perfect. It’s a messy, messy business.”

Despite that, he thinks this time there is quite a bit to be sure about where it concerns terrorism inside our own borders.

“Rarely can I ‘guarantee’ the intelligence. Many times just releasing it in the wild can stop a false flag or genuine attack. But with as close to 100% confidence as possible, there WILL be multiple terrorist attacks in the U.S.,” he wrote.

“The attacks will come in waves for the next 14 months,” Seruga warned.

“Hundreds of thousands of CCP saboteurs trained to attack our electrical grid, poison our water supply, destroy our railways and main highway arteries, additionally at least a million, possibly two million terrorists are already here from Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Qatar, Lebanon, Iran, Somalia, etc., etc., and they are extremely well funded and get this, the Biden Administration working with the UN has given them debit cards that are reloaded every month.”

He added links to three stories about a terror cell called “Hezbollah Unit 910,” which is described as “a sleeper cell already in the U.S. awaiting the green light from Persia to launch attacks.”

“This is just one group of hundreds here to destroy America,” he stated.

This is all highly believable. After all, we have already been warned by the Dept. of Homeland Security that President Joe Biden’s disastrous border crisis has allowed hundreds of people on a terror watch list to sneak across our borders. And those are just the ones we know about.

The idea that there are thousands of terrorists of all stripes hiding among us right now is one that simply seems obvious. And we have useless government agencies like the FBI to thank — an agency that is more interested in putting MAGA voters and parents of school kids in jail than they are in finding real enemies.

And with a wide-open border that no longer has any mechanism to screen out enemies, and a president who has millions in his pocket from foreign countries that have self-identified as our mortal enemies, it seems inevitable.

Terror attacks inside our borders just seems like a foregone conclusion.

Multimodal AI become accessible: new model runs on your laptop

A new open-source artificial intelligence model named Obsidian, announced in an Oct. 30 Reddit post, represents a breakthrough in multimodal AI accessibility. Obsidian is the first 3b parameter multimodal AI — which makes it a model compact enough to run efficiently on a regular laptop.

Multimodal AI refers to AI systems that can process and connect data from different modes, such as text, images, audio, and video — in this case, the model accepts text and pictures as input, much like the latest version of OpenAI’s GPT-4V. While multimodal AI models like DALL-E 3 and GPT-4 have shown impressive capabilities, their enormous size makes them resource-intensive to run, requiring expensive high-end hardware — and their models are a closely guarded secret, so you could never run them even if you had the necessary specialized hardware.

The AI intelligence model, Obsidian, packs multimodal intelligence into a standard laptop’s memory

Obsidian changes this by packing multimodal intelligence into a model small enough to fit into a standard laptop’s memory and run at practical speeds. At 3 billion parameters, Obsidian builds upon the Capybara-3B model architecture, which achieves state-of-the-art performance compared to similarly sized models. The developer also announced on Reddit that a multimodal model based on the highly-praised Mistral open-source 7B model will soon follow.

Obsidian’s compact size is thanks to techniques adapted from the LLaMA model architecture. According to the Reddit post announcing Obsidian, it was pre-trained on a diverse synthesized multi-modal dataset, including text paired with corresponding images. This training methodology allowed it to develop strong language and vision capabilities despite its reduced parameters.

The result is an AI assistant with conversational skills and visual understanding that can fit in your backpack. Obsidian breaks down barriers to accessing AI, opening up new possibilities for on-device intelligence.

While still an early version, Obsidian’s efficient form factor sets an exciting precedent. It demonstrates that multimodal AI does not have to be locked up in giant data centers but can be made compact enough to be distributed widely.

Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser Figures Out That Face Masks Are Fueling Crime | The Gateway Pundit

Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has finally figured out that face masks give criminals an advantage.

The city had to repeal a decades old ban on face masks to mandate them during the Covid pandemic. Now they are trying to repeal the repeal.

Crime in the city is out of control, particularly carjackings.

The Washington Examiner reports:

Mayor Bowser admits that masks fuel crime waves

Forty years ago, the D.C. City Council was worried about a resurgence of the Ku Klux Klan, so they passed an anti-mask law.

Three years ago, the D.C. City Council was worried about police mistreatment of black residents (and worried about COVID) and so they repealed the anti-mask law as part of a “criminal-justice reform” package in the wake of George Floyd’s death at the hands of Minneapolis police.

Today, the mayor of Washington, D.C., is worried about the crime wave sweeping the district — particularly the surge in teenage criminals — and so she has proposed to restore the anti-mask law.

It’s quite a journey for the anti-mask law: It was passed to fight the KKK, repealed to fight racist policing, and now perhaps restored to protect the residents in mostly black neighborhoods. The law arguably violates the First Amendment, and it has never been consistently enforced. On the other hand, any honest observer will say that the rise in masking since mid-2020 has contributed to the crime wave in Washington, D.C., and some of the surrounding suburbs.

Just stunning.

Not keeping criminals in custody doesn’t help either.

The Addressing Crime Trends Now Act will create an environment that better supports communities and victims as well as MPD’s ability to hire and retain highly qualified officers.

This is the funniest thing you’ll read from a politician all day. The mayor of DC has made it illegal to commit a crime while wearing a mask. Presumably, it’s still legal to actually commit the crime else, why would you have to say this? She’s quick to note that “masks for… https://t.co/HFrSQdQgBl

How are people supposed to know who is wearing a mask for ‘health’ purposes? What a farce.
