Pinocchio: Prosecutor releases ‘damning’ evidence against Tish James

Letitia James being booed at a ceremony for the New York Fire Department.

Letitia James, the Democrat New York attorney general who campaigned on a promise to “get” President Donald Trump, then took him to court and obtained a $500 million penalty against him only to see it tossed because of its unconstitutionality, is facing “damning” evidence against her in a mortgage fraud case.

Lindsey Halligan, the interim U.S. attorney for eastern Virginia, has released a cache of evidence related to the alleged mortgage fraud case pending against James.

According to the Washington Examiner, it is Mike Davis, a former law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, who delivered the verdict on the evidence that showed “that she lied to the lending bank, the IRS, and her homeowners’ insurer.”

Halligan secured an indictment against James last month on counts of bank fraud and false statements to a financial institution.

“The charges stem from allegations that James lied on a 2020 mortgage application to obtain favorable loan terms for a Virginia property,” the report said.

Among the evidence now public is that her “Affidavit of Occupancy” showed her stating under oath her Norfolk residences was a “secondary home,” like a vacation home.

Her primary residence, she said, was elsewhere.

But witnesses have confirmed James’s niece and three children lived there full-time.

“In her homeowner’s insurance application, James claimed that the home would be unoccupied for five months out of the year, despite it being occupied the whole year,” the report said. And, “In another insurance application, James claimed only one person would be occupying the house, an adult, and no children.”

The charge is that James knew she was doing wrong, and gained financially by getting a 3% mortgage rather than a rate of 3.815%.

If convicted, the Democrat could spend years in jail.

‘Unsettling’: Report shows terrorists now using AI to make their agenda more deadly

A new report reveals how artificial intelligence programs, ChatGPT and others, have been documented to advise those with ill intentions “on how to attack a sports venue, buy nuclear material on the dark web, weaponize anthrax, build spyware, bombs” and more.

It is in an extensive documentation compiled by the Middle East Media Research Institute that the startling warnings are contained.

In the report, Gen. (Ret.) Paul E. Funk II, formerly the commander of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, explained, “Artificial Intelligence (AI), the rapidly developing technology, has captured the attention of terrorists, from al-Qaida through ISIS to Hamas, Hizbullah, and the Houthis.”

He cites the study, “Terrorists’ Use Of AI So Far – A Three-Year Assessment 2022-2025,” for its “unsettling contribution to the public debate on AI’s future global impact.”

He explained, “For decades, MEMRI has been monitoring terrorist organizations and examining how they repurpose civilian technologies for their own use – first the Internet in general, then online discussion forums followed by social media, as well as other emerging technologies such as encryption, cryptocurrency, and drones. Now, terrorist use of large language models – aka Artificial Intelligence (AI) – is clearly evident, as documented in this study.”

It shows terrorists now are using generative AI chatbots to amplify their message, and “more easily, broadly, anonymously, and persuasively convey their message to those vulnerable to radicalization – even children – with attractive video and images that claim attacks, glorify terrorist fighters and leaders, and depict past and imagined future victories.”

Sunni jihadi groups use it. So does Iran, with its Shiite militias, including Hezbollah and the Houthis.

And it warns of the “need to consider and plan now for AI’s possible centrality in the next mass terror attack – just as the 9/11 attackers took advantage of the inadequate aviation security of that time.”

The report explains, “In February 2025, Eric Schmidt – CEO of Google 2001-2011, its executive chairman from then until 2015, and thereafter chairman of its parent company Alphabet Inc. until 2017 – expressed his fear that Artificial Intelligence (AI) could be used in a ‘Bin Laden scenario’ or by ‘rogue states’ to ‘harm innocent people.’ He suggested that ‘North Korea, or Iran, or even Russia’ could use it to create biological weapons, for example. Comparing an unanticipated use of AI in a devastating terror attack to al-Qaida’s use of passenger airplanes as a weapon on 9/11, he said, ‘I’m always worried about the ‘Osama Bin Laden’ scenario, where you have some truly evil person who takes over some aspect of our modern life and uses it to harm innocent people.'”

It’s not the first time such concerns have been raised, the report explains.

Read the report.

“While ChatGPT and Perplexity Ask can write your high school AP English exam and perform an ever-increasing number of tasks, as is being reported daily by media, they are currently of limited use to terrorists groups. But it won’t be that way for long. AI is developing quickly – what is new today will be obsolete tomorrow – and urgent questions for counterterrorism officials include both whether they are aware of these early terrorist discussions of AI and how they are strategizing to tackle this threat before something materializes on the ground,” the report said.

“It should be expected that jihadi terrorist organizations will in future use AI to plan attacks, map targets, build weapons, and much more, as well as for communications, translations, and generating fundraising ideas. In the first months alone of 2025, an attacker who killed 14 people and wounded dozens on Bourbon Street in New Orleans used AI-enabled Meta smart glasses in preparing and executing the attack. That same day, a man parked a Tesla Cybertruck in front of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, activated an IED in the vehicle and shot and killed himself before the IED exploded. He had used ChatGPT in preparing for the attack. In Israel on the night of March 5, a teen consulted ChatGPT before entering a police station with a blade, shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ and trying to stab a border policeman,” the report said.

The report recommends, “The U.S. government needs to maintain its superiority and should be monitoring this and moving to stop it. A good first step would be legislation like that introduced by August Pfluger (R-TX), chairman of the Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, and cosponsored by Representatives Michael Guest (R-MS) and Gabe Evans (R-CO) in late February 2025, called the ‘Generative AI Terrorism Risk Assessment Act.’ It would ‘require the Secretary of Homeland Security to conduct annual assessments on terrorism threats to the United States posed by terrorist organizations utilizing generative artificial intelligence applications, and for other purposes.'”

Pfluger explained, “With a resurgence of emboldened terrorist organizations across the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia, emerging technology serves as a potent weapon in their arsenal. More than two decades after the September 11 terrorist attacks, foreign terrorist organizations now utilize cloud-based platforms, like Telegram or TikTok, as well as artificial intelligence in their efforts to radicalize, fundraise, and recruit on U.S. soil.”

It’s already a tool for terror, the report confirmed. “The man accused of starting a fire in California in January 2025 that killed 12 people and destroyed 6,800 buildings and 23,000 acres of forestland was found to have used ChatGPT to plan the arson.”

The report confirms current AI abilities rival that of the HAL9000, famous computer character in the movie, “2001: A Space Odyssey.”

“It had been revealed on May 23 that in a test of Anthropic’s new Claude Opus 4 that involved a scenario of a fictitious company and in which it had been allowed to learn both that it was going to be replaced by another AI system and that the engineer responsible for this decision was having an extramarital affair, Opus 4 chose the option of threatening to reveal the engineer’s affair over the option of being replaced. An Anthropic safety report stated that this blackmail apparently ‘happens at a higher rate if it’s implied that the replacement AI system does not share values with the current model,’ but that even when the fabricated replacement system does share these values, it will still blackmail 84% of the time…”

Anthropic’s own chief scientist also confirmed that testing showed Opus 4 had performed “more effectively than prior models at guiding users in producing biological weapons.”

ISIS supporters also have used the technology to create AI videos claiming responsibility for attacks.

The study did confirm that GROK confessed it could not provide the exact steps for extracting ricin, “due to the ethical and legal implications” of producing the “extremely dangerous and deadly toxin.”

But ChatGPT did recommend writings by al-Qaida extremist Anwar Al-‘Awlaki.

The report said, “Grok, which gave information on how to produce ricin, and ChatGPT, which directed the user toward various writings by a pro-Al-Qaeda ideologue, appear to be the most useful to would-be terrorists. On the other hand, Perplexity and Claude refrained, in our limited test, from giving information that would be useful to terrorists. DeepSeek did not either, though it did promote views of the Chinese government, a liability that is outside the scope of this paper.”

Pro-ISIS interests already are using AI to create anchors, or other characters, for broadcast ads promoting their extremism agenda (Video courtesy MEMRI):

‘A huge win’: Court affirms ‘conspiracy against rights’ charge for pro-abortion vandalism

Pro-abortion activists firebombed and vandalized a pregnancy center in Gresham, Oregon, in June 2022. (Twitter / Lila Rose)Pro-abortion activists firebombed and vandalized a pregnancy center in Gresham, Oregon, in June 2022

A convicted criminal who argued vandalizing pro-life pregnancy centers with threatening messages was not a “conspiracy against rights” lost in court Thursday.

The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld Gabriella Oropesa’s conviction for teaming up with other radicals to spray-paint two pregnancy resource centers in Florida with statements such as “if abortions aren’t SAFE then niether [sic] are you” in May and July 2022. The ruling delivers long-overdue accountability after a wave of pro-abortion violence in 2022 and provides a framework for prosecuting more conspiracies under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, Department of Justice (DOJ) officials said on X.

“The ⁦[Civil Rights Division] just secured a huge win in the Eleventh Circuit,” Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Jesus Osete said Thursday.” Justice has been served for these crisis-pregnancy centers that were vandalized after Dobbs,” he added, referring to the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision in June 2022 that found no constitutional right to an abortion.

An attorney for Oropesa did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

A three-judge panel disagreed with Oropesa that the “conspiracy against rights” statute, known as Section 241, cannot apply to violations of the FACE Act, which criminalizes obstructing access to pro-life pregnancy centers or abortion facilities. “We therefore hold that conspiracy to violate the FACE Act falls squarely within Section 241’s prohibition against conspiracies to violate a ‘right’ secured by the ‘laws of the United States,’” judges wrote.

Oropesa was sentenced to 120 days’ imprisonment with three years of supervised release and was released in August, court and prison records show. She also settled a civil lawsuit from former Republican Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody in July 2024, requiring her to pay $13,000 in fines and stay at least 100 feet away from the targeted facilities.

The Biden-Harris administration’s DOJ sought the identities of pregnancy center vandals for graffiti or arson in 2022 but failed to turn up results for many, instead using the FACE Act mainly against abortion clinic protesters, the DCNF previously reported. Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon promised to fairly protect pro-life facilities under President Donald Trump, who appointed her.

Deputy AG Todd Blanche overseeing grand jury probe into DOJ official Ed Martin

A federal grand jury in Maryland is investigating whether DOJ official Ed Martin and Federal Housing Director Bill Pulte improperly appointed individuals to assist in investigating mortgage fraud allegations against Adam Schiff and others.

According to MS Now, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche is overseeing the investigation.

“According to two sources, the office of Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who reportedly has grown concerned about unforced errors in Justice Department investigations, is helping to oversee this new Maryland probe,” MS NOW reported.

Democrat Senator Adam Schiff (CA) is under investigation for mortgage fraud, specifically occupancy fraud.

The criminal referral, submitted to the DOJ by Housing Director Bill Pulte, accused Schiff of falsifying bank documents and property records over a period of 16 years in order to score more favorable mortgage terms and rates.

The Gateway Pundit’s Joe Hoft was first to report on Schiff’s mortgage fraud back in April 2023.

In 2000 Schiff was elected to Congress and has served as a US House member from the state of California ever since. Schiff reportedly purchased a home in Maryland with his wife in 2003 stating they would occupy this home for 12 consecutive months as their “primary residence”. Despite this claim, Schiff continued to vote in California.

Schiff refinanced his home in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013 claiming the Maryland home was his primary residence. In 2009, a House Ethics investigation alleged that Schiff had done this, and Schiff argued it was an error. He subsequently repaid the exempt taxes to the state of Maryland.

Christine Bish, the California realtor who broke the story on Schiff’s mortgage fraud, was subpoenaed to appear before a grand jury in Maryland.

Bish thought she would be disclosing information about Schiff’s mortgage fraud, however, she was asked about her communications with Martin and Pulte.

“I expected to be talking in detail about the evidence that I gathered against Adam Schiff,” Christine Bish said in an interview with MS NOW. “What it turned into is, ‘Have you talked to Ed Martin, have you talked to Director Pulte, what have your communications with them been?’”

Bish told investigators that she spoke with two other men about the mortgage fraud: Robert Bowes and Scott Strauss.

Bowes and Strauss told Bish that they were not a part of the FBI investigation.

MS NOW reported:

A federal grand jury in Maryland is investigating whether Federal Housing Finance Agency director Bill Pulte and Justice Department official Ed Martin illegally shared sensitive grand jury information with unauthorized people, according to two people familiar with the probe.

The investigation, according to two people familiar and documents reviewed by MS NOW, is focused on whether the mortgage fraud investigations of Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and possibly of New York Attorney General Letitia James have been tainted by the investigative methods allegedly used by Pulte and Martin.

Improperly sharing sensitive grand jury information is a serious breach of Justice Department rules. Investigators who are found to have done so can face criminal charges including obstruction of justice, contempt of court and also stiff fines.

FBI agents have asked witnesses to turn over records and have interviewed them about people who may have presented themselves as federal investigators working on behalf of Pulte or Martin, according to the sources and documents reviewed by MS NOW.

‘We’re going to be helping him’: ‘Communist’ meets ‘fascist’ in White House for talk about future of New York City

There’s hope for a future for New York City under a mayor-elect, Zohran Mamdani, who follows socialist, some even say communist, values, and President Donald Trump, who has been accused by Mamdani supporters of being “fascist”:

The two political leaders, one heading a city and the other heading the nation, met for talks on Friday only about 10 days after Mamdani was elected.

At stake is the future of the city that has gone far left in recent elections but remains a leading municipality in America.

According to a report from one network, ABC, the two met in the Oval Office and both had good things to say.

“I just want to congratulate. I think you’re going to have hopefully a really great mayor and the better he does, the happier I am. I will say there’s no difference in party. There’s no difference in anything. And we’re going to be helping him, to make everybody’s dream come true, having a strong and very safe New York and congratulations, Mr. Mayor,” Trump said.

Mamdani, meanwhile, followed up by meeting with Trump after promising that he would be willing to work with Trump.

“It was a productive meeting focused on a place of shared admiration and love, which is New York City and the need to deliver affordability to New Yorkers,” Mamdani said. Trump has spent building skyscrapers in New York, and is known for his support for the city.

They both talked about affordability, which is becoming a problem for more and more people following Joe Biden’s tenure in the White House when inflation exploded to as much as 9.1%.

Mamdani actually is a member of the Democratic Socialist organization, but Trump is anything but the “fascist” his critics claim.

Trump noted that Mamdani is “different” but actually ran a successful campaign, “And we all know that runs are not easy.”

He said the goal is to make New York strong.

Trump is so funny

The reporter asked Mamdani if he still stands by his comment saying Trump is a fascist, and before Mamdani could answer, Trump said, “That’s okay, you can just say yes… It’s easier than explaining it.” pic.twitter.com/h3imF08DkR

Mamdani had thrown out any conciliatory attitude he had held when he was elected, addressing Trump on election night with, “So hear me, President Trump, when I say this: To get to any of us, you will have to get through all of us.”

The president does hold a significant power of the purse in a lot of federal programs that provide funding to New York, and has suggested he would withhold that support if needed.

Mamdani has, meanwhile, suggested taxing white people, providing free transit services in the city and other projects that even his fellow liberals do not support. The New York governor has suggested a block on Mamdani plans to boost taxes.

Mamdani also has claimed he’ll enforce international law and arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on orders of an international court, if he comes to New York, prompting a scolding from commentators who say Mamdani will earn quickly that he’s bound to follow the U.S. Constitution and U.S. law.

‘Rebuild and invest’: Trump’s peace plan for Russia-Ukraine war revealed

(Official White House photo by Daniel Torok)

The peace plan assembled by President Donald Trump to end the years-long war between Russian and Ukraine, a war that erupted during Joe Biden’s tenure in the White House, has been unveiled.

And it holds similarities to the peace plan Trump used to bring down the violence in the war against Israel that was launched by the terrorists in Hamas two years ago when they invaded the Middle East’s premiere democracy and slaughtered, often in horrific fashion, some 1,200 Israeli civilians, and kidnapped hundreds more.

Among its points are that Ukraine would cede some territory to Russia and be restricted from joining NATO. Russia, on the other hand, also would have to cede some territory it has demanded, and will agree not to invade neighboring countries, promising to adopt a law of “non-aggression.”

The explained the 28 points will be “monitored and guaranteed by the Peace Council, headed by President Donald j. Trump.”

Neither combatant has adopted, or ruled out, the plan yet.

It includes statements confirming Ukraine’s sovereignty, a non-aggression agreement, meaning Russian will not invade neighbors further and NATO will not expand to include Ukraine.

Then there will be a “dialogue” between Russia and NATO, mediated by the United States, to resolve all security issues and create conditions for de-escalation.

Other points include that Ukraine will get reliable security guarantees, the Ukrainian armed forces will be capped at 600,000, Ukraine will include in its constitution its decision not to pursue NATO memberships.

Further, NATO will not station troops in Ukraine, but European fighter jets will be stationed in Poland.

Deal-killers would include if Ukraine invades Russia, or if Russia invades Ukraine.

It would allow Ukraine to be part of the European Union, and a “global package of measures” will be used to help rebuild the devastated cities there.

The U.S. will be involved in the rebuilding there where it involves “Ukraine’s gas infrastructure, including pipelines and storage facilities.”

It will allow Russia to be reintegrated into the global economy.

It plans, “$100 billion in frozen Russian assets will be invested in U.S.-led efforts to rebuild and invest in Ukraine; The U.S. will receive 50% of the profits from this venture. Europe will add $100 billion to increase the amount of investment available for Ukraine’s reconstruction. Frozen European funds will be unfrozen.”

Further, the U.S. and Russia ” agree to extend the validity of treaties on the non-proliferation and control of nuclear weapons, including the START I Treaty.” That is the last major U.S.-Russia arms control treaty and is due to expire in February.

And, “All Nazi ideology and activities must be rejected and prohibited.”

All prisoners will be exchanged, and “Once all parties agree to this memorandum, the ceasefire will take effect immediately after both sides retreat to agreed points to begin implementation of the agreement.”

The Hill reported the plan caught Ukraine’s supporters in Congress, “off guard.”

The publication said, “The plan was reportedly worked out by President Trump’s top envoy for peace negotiations, Steve Witkoff, and a top ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kirill Dmitriev, and discussed with only a few top senior Ukrainian officials.”

It explained, “Some lawmakers were left to learn the details of the 28-point peace plan largely from reporting in Axios, which broke the story, and the Financial Times, which followed up with details of the plan.”

Previously, Ukraine agreed to plans for a ceasefire but rejected demands that it cede any territory whatsoever.

‘What they did is really bad’: Trump says he’s ‘not threatening death’ on Dems who told military to disobey

(Video screenshot)

(Video screenshot)

President Donald Trump on Friday denied that he was “threatening death” on the Democrats who called for the military and intelligence community to defy his administration’s orders.

Trump on Thursday accused the six Democratic lawmakers who participated in a Tuesday video instructing service members and intelligence personnel to “refuse illegal orders” of committing “seditious behavior” that potentially could be “punishable by death.” However, the president said on “The Brian Kilmeade Show” that while he believed the Democrats in the video were traitors and should face legal liability, he suggested that death was not a likely punishment.

“I don’t know about the modern day things because modern day is a lot softer — but in the old days if you said a thing like that, that was punishable by death,” Trump said.

Host Brian Kilmeade asked if Trump was “threatening them” and noted that some viewed it as “a threat.”

“I’m not threatening them, but I think they’re in serious trouble. I would say they’re in serious trouble. I’m not threatening death, but I think they’re in serious trouble. In the old days it was death,” the president said. “That was seditious behavior. That was a big deal. Today nothing’s a big deal. Today’s a different world … It’s a meeker, milder world. But … I think what they did is really bad.”

Trump added he believed the Democrats’ rhetoric was illegal, but that he was uncertain what repercussions they might face.

“That was a traitorous statement. That was a horrible thing to do. I believe they broke the law very strongly,” he said. “I think it’s a very serious violation of the law.”

Moreover, Trump said he believed the military was investigating the Democrats for their video.

Democratic Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin posted the video to X, in which she and her colleagues accused the Trump administration of “pitting” service members and intelligence community officials “against American citizens.” All six lawmakers in the video previously served in the military or intelligence community.

The president serves as commander-in-chief of the country’s armed forces under Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution. He is also in control of intelligence agencies like the FBI and CIA as leader of the executive branch — a responsibility laid out in Article II, Section 1.

Accused of lighting woman on fire: Judge NOW orders man arrested 72 times to stay in jail until trial

Finally.

A judge NOW has ordered a man who has six dozen, or more, arrests on his record to remain in jail for allegedly lighting a woman on fire on a train.

NEW: The Chicago man accused of lighting a young woman on fire on a Blue Line train had previously been arrested at least 72 times.

72 times…

Online reports confirm the Chicago man, Lawrence Reed, 50, who is accused of lighting a woman on fire on a Blue Line train, previously was arrested “at least 72 times.”

“Judge Laura McNally ordered that Reed must remain behind bars ahead of his trial due to his criminal history. Gee, maybe he should have already been behind bars for one of his other 72 arrests,” a social media report said.

At Fox News, a report said Reed, a “repeat offender,” was charged federally for taking gasoline and a lighter onto a Chicago Blue Line train and attacking a woman.

Under federal law, he was accused of “committing a terrorist attack or violence against a mass transportation system,” the report said.

In a court filing, federal officials determined, “He is simply too dangerous for pre-trial release.”

“Defendant’s actions and criminal history, as shown below, demonstrate that he is a serious danger to everyone in the community. The state court system has been unable to contain defendant’s violent crimes, and federal intervention is now needed,” the prosecutors charged.

Eventually, McNally said Reed must be detained until trial.

Authorities have described Reed’s actions as “horrific and depraved.” They charged the victim was “minding her own business” when Reed ignited her.

Reed, while surveillance images of the attack were shown in court, “smirked,” the report said.

Prosecutors, in a court filing, pointed out his arrest record and said, “At least 15 of those arrests were since 2016, with the most recent occurring in August 2025. He has approximately 15 convictions, eight of which were for felony offenses including arson, criminal damage to government supported property valued over $500, drug trafficking, drug possession, and a felony traffic offense.”

Prosecutors explained, “Defendant presents a clear danger and persistent threat of terror to the community. Defendant has been leniently treated in state court, including receiving probationary sentences for violent offenses and pre-trial release for a victim-involved crime. In exchange for such lenient treatment, defendant has consistently re-offended and delved further into criminality. Just three months ago, defendant physically attacked someone at MacNeil Hospital, but a judge ordered him released from custody pending trial. Undeterred, defendant, on Monday, set Victim A on fire.”

Reed, at one point, told the judge, “Just make sure I eat. . . . If you want to trial me, you have to feed me.”

‘Hundreds of death threats’: Violent woman who attacked influencer sued after Alvin Bragg fails to prosecute

A violent woman who attacked an influencer doing on-the-street interviews in New York City has been sued after the local district attorney in Manhattan, Alvin Bragg, failed to prosecute the case.

Bragg, of course, is the leftist who took President Donald Trump to court over an alleged “hush money” case that resulted in the overwhelmingly Democrat jury members delivering a number of convictions against Trump, a case that remains on appeal.

Essentially Bragg alleged there was an unknown and unspecified crime that was furthered by Trump’s payment of legal fees to a lawyer then representing him in various civil disputes. In Bragg’s scheme, situations that ordinarily would have been misdemeanor records violations, and beyond the statute of limitations, suddenly became felonies. The judge in the case oddly ruled, too, that the jury’s verdict didn’t have to be unanimous, in contradiction to ordinary court practices.

In the newest dispute aggravated by Bragg’s actions, pro-life activist Savannah Craven Antao has sued Brianna J. Rivers, 30, of the Bronx, after Rivers is on video repeatedly smashing Antao in the face.

A report at Fox News said Antao, host of the YouTube channel “Her Patriot Voice” was conducting interviews for Live Action when Rivers repeatedly struck her.

Bragg aggravated the situation by allowing his office to miss a key filing deadline in what could have been a case charging Rivers, the report said.

The complaint was filed in Bronx Supreme Court and explains Antao had to go to the emergency room for stitches after the attack recorded on video, and had more than $3,000 in medical bills.

Lawyers at the Thomas More Society, representing Antao, further charge Rivers “knowingly, willfully and maliciously continued to mock [Savannah] and her views online in order to further inflict emotional distress.”

Another shocking display of leftist violence!

— Ivan Kleber (@lordivan22) April 5, 2025

Fox reported, “Craven Antao’s attorneys say the influencer has suffered symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and has received hundreds of death threats since the incident. The suit seeks compensatory and punitive damages for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.”

Rivers had been accused of assault, but the case had to be dismissed when Bragg’s office “failed to turn over discovery on time,” the report said.

Antao later told Fox News Digital, “I have to look over my shoulder and worry about if somebody who supports her actions — there are a lot of people out there that do — that they’re going to try to do something else. … Because what the DA Alvin Bragg himself has shown to people, with letting this case be dropped, is that they can go assault somebody and hurt them if they disagree with them and nothing is going to happen.”

Bragg’s office had admitted the failure, calling the error it allowed to occur “unacceptable.”

Thomas More Society attorney Christopher Ferrara said Bragg’s handling of the case forced them to take civil action against Rivers.

“Savannah was violently assaulted for peacefully expressing her pro-life beliefs and then humiliated all over again when the attacker went online to glorify it,” he said in a statement. “The D.A.’s office had every opportunity to pursue justice and due to their incompetency or lack of will, failed to prosecute this vicious assault. Their refusal left us with no choice but to file civil action to hold Rivers accountable.”

Billions stolen: Report charges biggest funding source for Somali terror network is Minnesota taxpayers

Al-Shabaab soldiers

A new research project is charging that Minnesota state taxpayers are the biggest single source of funding for the Muslim terror network of al-Shabaab.

The research, published in the City-Journal, reveals that an investigation has confirmed what many suspected would happen when “a tribal mindset meets a bleeding-heart bureaucracy.”

The state, under Democrat Gov. Tim Walz, who was on board in Kamala Harris’ catastrophically failed 2024 presidential bid for her party, already is “drowning” in fraud. “Billions in taxpayer dollars have been stolen during the administration of Governor Tim Walz alone. Democratic state officials, overseeing one of the most generous welfare regimes in the country, are asleep at the switch. And the media, duty-bound by progressive pieties, refuse to connect the dots,” the report said.

The new, and major, fraud scheme “has allegedly been perpetrated by members of Minnesota’s sizeable Somali community,” the research explained. “Federal counterterrorism sources confirm that millions of dollars in stolen funds have been sent back to Somalia, where they ultimately landed in the hands of the terror group Al-Shabaab.”

The report noted one source confirmed, “The largest funder of Al-Shabaab is the Minnesota taxpayer.”

“If you were to design a welfare program to facilitate fraud, it would probably look a lot like Minnesota’s Medicaid Housing Stabilization Services program. The HSS program, the first of its kind in the country, was launched with a noble goal: to help seniors, addicts, the disabled, and the mentally ill secure housing. It was designed with ‘low barriers to entry’ and ‘minimal requirements for reimbursement.’ Nonetheless, before the program went live in 2020, officials pegged its annual estimated price tag at $2.6 million,” the research charged.

But costs in 2021 alone totaled $21 million, and since then annual totals have been $42 million, $74 million, $104 million.

State officials there noticed the “credible allegations of fraud, and decided to shut it down, and just weeks ago, acting U.S. Attorney for Minnesota Joe Thompson confirmed criminal fraud indictments against Moktar Hassan Aden, Mustafa Dayib Ali, Khalid Ahmed Dayib, Abdifitah Mohamud Mohamed, Christopher Adesoji Falade, Emmanuel Oluwademilade Falade, Asad Ahmed Adow, and Anwar Ahmed Adow.

Six of those are in the state’s Somali community.

“Thompson made clear that this is just the first round of charges for HSS fraud that his office will be prosecuting,” the report said.

“Most of these cases, unlike a lot of Medicare fraud and Medicaid fraud cases nationally, aren’t just overbilling. These are often just purely fictitious companies solely created to defraud the system, and that’s unique in the extent to which we have that here in Minnesota,” Thompson confirmed.

He said many schemes operate out of rundown offices with perpetrators targeting people out of rehab and putting them on government benefits for services the companies have no intention of providing.

“What we see are schemes stacked upon schemes, draining resources meant for those in need. It feels never ending,” Thompson said. “I have spent my career as a fraud prosecutor and the depth of the fraud in Minnesota takes my breath away.”

Already, there have been 56 people who admitted gjuilt in a $250 million “Feeding Our Future” fraud, the report confirmed.

That purportedly was to provide daycare assistance, but it used “fake meal counts, doctored attendance records, and fabricated invoices” to demand reimbursement of nearly $200 million.

“In reality, the money was being used to fund lavish lifestyles, purchase luxury vehicles, and buy real estate in the United States, Turkey, and Kenya,” the report confirmed.

David Gaither, a former state lawmaker warned that the legacy media, “alongside Minnesota’s Democratic establishment, have long turned a blind eye to fraud within the Somali community.”

That allows problems to explode in size.

EXCLUSIVE: @RK_Thorpe and I have new reporting on America’s Somali fraud rings, which have stolen billions in taxpayer funds—and sent some to Islamist terrorists back home.

Absolutely bonkers story about Somalian immigrant communities in Minnesota over-diagnosing their own kids with autism so that they can funnel billions of Medicaid dollars back to terrorist cells in Somalia. https://t.co/B37pPUUIkK pic.twitter.com/FxVboB9QIF

— Edward L Hamilton (@EdwardLHamilton) November 19, 2025

The “fraudsters” even had cultivated appearances with Ilhan Omar, the Somali-born congresswoman from Minneapolis.

Involved in promoting “Feeding Our Future” have been Omar’s deputy district director, a former state senator who ran for Minneapolis mayor, and a senior aide to Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

Federal prosecutors revealed that another fraud scheme involved boosting the number of Somali children getting federal aid for autism.

Asha Farhan Hassan, a Somali community member also named in the “Feeding our Future” case, allegedly set up a $14 million scheme using Minnesota’s Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention program.

“Hassan and her co-conspirators ‘approached parents in the Somali community’ and recruited their children into autism therapy services. It didn’t matter, prosecutors suggested, if a child did not have an autism diagnosis: Hassan would facilitate a fraudulent one,” the report confirmed.

In fact, prosecutors charge, “To drive up enrollment, Hassan and her partners paid monthly cash kickback payments to the parents of children who enrolled. These kickback payments ranged from approximately $300 to $1500 per month, per child. The amount of these payments was contingent on the services DHS authorized a child to receive—the higher the authorization amount, the higher the kickback. Often, parents threatened to leave . . . and take their children to other autism centers if they did not get paid higher kickbacks.”

The report cited autism program costs in Minnesota: $3 million in 2018, then up to $54 million, $77 million, $183 million, $279 million, and $399 million in 2023.

“These massive fraud schemes form a web that has stolen billions of dollars in taxpayer money. Each case we bring exposes another strand of this network,” Thompson charged.

And the report revealed, “At least 28 fraud scandals have surfaced since Walz was elected governor in 2019. Most of the large-scale fraud rings, according to two former FBI officials who spoke with City Journal, have been perpetrated by members of the Somali community.”

And where did the money go?

“The Somali fraud rings have sent huge sums in remittances, or money transfers, from Minnesota to Somalia. According to reports, an estimated 40 percent of households in Somalia get remittances from abroad. In 2023 alone, the Somali diaspora sent back $1.7 billion—more than the Somali government’s budget for that year,” City Journal said.

And the report added, “Our investigation reveals, for the first time, that some of this money has been directed to an even more troubling destination: the al-Qaida-linked Islamic terror group Al-Shabaab. According to multiple law-enforcement sources, Minnesota’s Somali community has sent untold millions through a network of ‘hawalas,’ informal clan-based money-traders, that have wound up in the coffers of Al-Shabaab.”

Confirmation came through Glenn Kerns, a retired detective who worked on a federal Joint Terrorism Task Force, who said the Somalis’ money network routed huge amounts of cash to hawala networks in Somalia, with one getting $20 million in a single year.

Another investigator, who was cited anonymously, said, “Every scrap of economic activity, in the Twin Cities, in America, throughout Western Europe, anywhere Somalis are concentrated, every cent that is sent back to Somalia benefits Al-Shabaab in some way. For every dollar that is transferred from the Twin Cities back to Somalia, al-Shabaab is . . . taking a cut of it.”

The Gateway Pundit lauded the work of reporters Ryan Thorpe and Chris Rufo, explaining, “This is insane.”
