I loved this book. I loved Abby. And who wouldn't want their very own Bryce? This book is about loss and proves that just when you believe you're destined to be alone for the rest of your life -- perhaps have even convinced yourself that's okay -- love walks though the door unexpectedly. It can happen anywhere, any time. Abby and Bryce are two broken people, trying to cope with the terrible tragedy of having lost the people they love, their soulmates, in separate circumstances. I think when love ends due to one or the other person moving on, it's different than when a loved one dies. This book is a reminder that when you least expect it, it happens. I laughed, I cried, and my emotions rode the same roller-coaster hills as Abby. Abby's relationship with her mother was like oil and water, and also very real to life. Bryce and Abby are two strangers who happen to meet in a coffee shop one Saturday morning. They become best friends -- first. Read this book! You will not be disappointed!

I am just starting in this crazy world of writing and publishing. Lately, however, there are just too many characters in my head begging me to tell their stories...so here I am. Writing, publishing, sharing and, hopefully, entertaining. I love a great love story, but really want to tell a story with an edge; characters who are imperfect, trying to find the perfect love.


Strangers is my debut novel, and will be released on September 6, 2013. I will have another novel, The Return, with an anticipated release date of November 1, 2013. I have been focusing mainly on short stories, but have felt a need to get to know the characters more in-depth, and in turn, tell more of their stories. He leans down, and his lips are on mine before I can protest. My mouth opens as a strangled gasp leaves it. My body flinches, and a flood of warmth travels through my veins, making my entire body feel like it’s on fire. I shudder as he presses his mouth harder against mine. His lips are soft and full, his body large and firm as he presses himself against me. My hands are limp beside me, I can’t move, I’m like a rag doll in his arms. His tongue finds mine, and fireworks explode in my head, I’m almost sure I see stars. Then suddenly, my hands come to life and I thrust them into his hair, tugging him closer. Emma's thoughts: Well, let me say that I was sent an ARC of this book as part of the blog tour and I had never heard of Elyssa previously but she has come up trumps with her debut novel and I rated it with 4 stars! It wasn't quite a 5 for me as wasn't hooked, I could quite easily drop it & pick it back up.

I really enjoyed Stay with me, all the characters were very likeable & believable, I was expecting Hailey to get a bit more stick or attention for being famous, she got off lightly really. Daphne is great, shes your ideal bestie, she also happens to be Caleb's sister but I like her no nonsense attitude and without saying too much I reckon Daphne could have her own book with a certain hottie who happens to be friends with Caleb (not saying anymore as don't want to spoil it for anyone)! And Caleb..... well hes just your dream boyfriend, hes kind, caring considerate and pretty darn hot in the bedroom....... wot more could a girl wish for.

I'm trying so hard to make this review spoiler free and I'm hoping that I've done that, all that left for me to say is a big congratulations to Elyssa on your debut novel and I can't wait for your next book :)
