Cover Reveal: Better
Better by S. Walden: Their relationship has been exposed, and now their lives are changed forever.
For Cadence Miller, the fast track to adulthood proves intimidating and frustrating. She’s a little girl lost—abandoned by her parents and uncertain of her future. She doesn’t think she “fits” anywhere. She’s eighteen. She wants to be older. And the result is both comical and heartbreaking.
Mark Connelly will do anything to provide Cadence a stable, loving home—to be her protector. But he’s just as broken and lost, and his heart won’t let go of his past so easily. He knows he must share his secret with Cadence. And he hopes his revelation won't tear them apart. He hopes it will draw them closer, and make their love better.

TeaserShe made sure to look as inconspicuous as possible for her first day of classes: jean shorts, tank top, flip flops. She kept her hair down but pulled it off her face with a headband. She wore a tad bit of makeup. Nothing showy, but she thought first day classes warranted mascara and lip gloss, at the least.
She slid into a seat in the row closest to the windows. She didn’t bother to look for Michael. Or save him a seat. She still wasn’t sure about that guy. She felt guilty for not telling Mark about Michael’s kissing comment. She wanted a friend, but she was unsure if he was a good one. She scanned the room for somebody better. She needed a girlfriend. And there was one sitting directly behind her.
“Hi,” Cadence said tentatively.
“Hi,” the girl replied.
Cadence wasn’t sure what else to say. Neither was the girl. That was until she recognized Cadence.
“You went to Crestview High.”
Cadence’s face fell. “Yeah.”
“My friend went there. She graduated with you.”
Cadence nodded.
The girl leaned in and whispered, “Did you really have an affair with your math teacher?”

Book Review & Giveaway: Greed
Greed (The Seven Deadly, #2) by Fisher Amelie: Gather ‘round, love, because I want you. I want what you have, I want what you don’t have, I want more of what I already have. I want. But if you so much as ask for something in return, go ahead and walk away. Know if you want to play in my world, it’s every man for themselves and the weak become mine. Leeches will be obliterated because I make it my job to destroy them. I protect what’s mine and I take what’s yours…because that’s what I do. I want.
My story will not endear me to you and, frankly, I could care less if it does because I’m in this for the money and nothing else. There’s nothing redeeming about me. I’m a corrupt, money hungry, immoral asshole from Los Angeles. I’m every man’s worst nightmare and every girl’s fantasy.
I’m Spencer Blackwell…And this is the story about how I went from the world’s most coveted guy to the guy no one wanted around and why I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
Fisher Amelie's GREED is being released TODAY and we are so excited to join in the release day launch for it. GREED is a mature young adult/new adult contemporary novel and is the second book in The Seven Deadly Series. Check out what we have for you today and then enter to win in the blog tour giveaway! You could win a signed copy of VAIN, Book 1 in the series, or a Kindle Fire!
Lori's thoughts: I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved the story. I didn't like Spencer a whole lot, but in the beginning of the book, he just wasn't a very likable guy -- and that's the whole point. He grew on me, though, and he turned into a genuinely great character. I really and looking forward to each of the subsequent books in this series and commend the author for her ability to write it! There was one chapter toward the end that nearly caused my heart to stop beating. I was pretty sure I was going to have to be really mad! But things have a way of turning out. :) Without giving too much away! Overall, a very enjoyable read, one I hope you'll pick up. Can't wait for the next book in the series! Fury... wonder what that one will be about...and who?!

Prologue
Greed is a strange, strange sin.
All you want to do is acquire. Acquire money, acquire material, acquire time, acquire energy, acquire attention. The running mantra is “I want, I want, I want” but that quickly turns to “I need, I need, I need.” Suddenly there just isn’t enough time for friends, for family, for anyone. Your goal is to acquire and to make sure what you acquire stays acquired. Your life depends on it. You don’t see truth because the truth is shadowed by enormous homes, incredibly fast cars, in lavish spending. Your life no longer belongs to you, but you are blind to it all because those around you are seeking the same.
So you shuffle along at an impossible rate, and you pass the real world around you.
But what you’ll come to realize, altogether too late, is that it’s never enough. It’s simply never enough.
Chapter One
“It’s confirmed. Peter Knight of Evergreen won’t approve the acquisition. You know what to do,” my snake of a father told me, not two steps into his front door.
“I just got off a seven-hour flight. You can’t let me settle in? Possibly say hello?”
He stood, watching me, a slight tick in his square jaw. He tucked his hands into his Italian silk pants. His six-foot frame followed the steps up to the foyer and stopped a few inches away from my own. We were face to face. Although I fell an inch shorter, he no longer intimidated me. I knew if I had to, I could kick his ass.
“Hello, Spencer,” he said, a serpent’s smile spread wide across his mouth before falling flat. “Get to work. I don’t pay you to sit around. I don’t care if it is your Christmas break.”
We stayed where we were, each waiting on the other to back down. The tension was palpable. In the end, his face relaxed and he began to chuckle, stepping aside and making way for me. I picked up my bags and headed for my room, giving myself plenty of space to pass him without touching him. When I got to the bottom of the stairs, I changed my mind and threw my bags on the second to last step, intending to pick them up later. I stretched my muscles, loving the feel of my back popping, and started for the kitchen.
“Where the hell do you think you’re going?” he asked, still standing in the foyer, watching my every move.
“If I don’t say hi to Mom and Bridge, they’ll think something’s up,” I told him and continued on.
He didn’t respond, but I felt his stare burning into the back of my head.

Book Review: Seduction and Snacks
Seduction and Snacks (Chocolate Lovers #1) by Tara Sivec: Claire is a twenty-something, single mom that grudgingly helps her best friend sell sex toys while she attempts to make enough money to start her own business to give her foul-mouthed, but extremely loveable (when he's asleep) toddler a better life.
When Carter, the one-night-stand from her past that changed her life forever, shows up in her hometown bar without any recollection of her besides her unique chocolate scent, Claire will make it a point that he remembers her this time.
With Carter's undisguised shock at suddenly finding out he has a four-year-old son and Claire's panic that her stretch marks and slim to none bedroom experience will send the man of her dreams heading for the hills, the pair will do whatever they can to get their happily ever after.
Warning: contains explicit sex, profanity and enough sarcasm to choke a horse.
Whairigail's thoughts:*****FIVE HILARIOUS, FUNNY, COMICAL, PRICELESS, AMUSING, ENTERTAINING, FANTASTIC HEARTS*****
“I shouldn't be allowed to think when I'm drinking.”
Excuse me one moment whilst I stop laughing, wipe my laughter tears and get ensure I have not, in fact, pee'd my pants.
Yes - it was THAT FUNNY!!
Claire is a young college student who still has her V Card and she is determined to shed the badge and join the real world.
Carter is a hot (think smokin' hot!) guy who goes to a frat party one night and runs head first into a STUNNING girl.
Add alcohol, lust, more alcohol, beer pong, small talk, more alcohol and you have a recipie for Fumbling Sex and the loss of Claire's virginity.
Claire leaves before Carter wakes up without getting his name, shoe size or phone number.
Claire is happy to have lost her virginity.
Claire is happy to have lost her virginity to a SEX ON LEGS guy.
Claire is pregnant.
“All the baby books written by women who had the most perfect birth experience in the world said you should talk to your child in the womb. That was about the only piece of advice I took from those things. Every day I told him if he ruined my vagina I would video tape his birth and show all his future girlfriends what happened to your who-ha when you had sex, ensuring that he will never, ever get laid.”
Fast forward four years and you have Claire living in her home town with the FUNNIEST kid in the world.
“Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do, watcha gonna do when they cut your wiener,” Gavin sang as he pointed his gun at random objects.
“Wow, cops have gotten pretty hardcore lately”
“Right when my fingers started to slip inside my underwear, I opened my eyes and screamed. "HOLY SHIT!" My son stood there next to the bed just staring at me. Seriously, two inches from my face just staring at me like those creepy twins in "The Shining." I waited for him to start saying, "Come play with us" in their freaky twin voices while I tried not to have a heart attack. "Gavin, seriously. You can't just stand here and stare at mommy. It's weird," I grumbled as I put my hand to my aching head and tried to calm my pounding heart. Sweet Jesus, who kicked me in the head and shit in my mouth last night? "You said a bad word, Mommy,”
Claire and her best friend, Liz, set up a business together - Seduction & Snacks.
Claire bakes the snacks...
“Money can't buy happiness but it can buy chocolate, which is kind of the same thing.”
Liz sells the Sex Toys...
“I was going to have to tell people I got fired from selling dildos. I can't even sell fake cocks to a room full or horny women. How do you come back from that shit?”
That's all I'm giving you!
This is a complete and utter ROMP of a read.
This is a must read.
Just go buy it, Trust Me, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!

Book Review: Love and Lists
LOVE AND LISTS (Chocoholics, #1) by Tara Sivec: Love and Lists is the first book in the Chocolate Lovers spinoff - Chocoholics: The foul-mouthed offspring tell their stories.
Twenty-five-year-old Gavin Ellis has always had the love and support of his family ever since he was a little boy and couldn't stop talking about his penis. He's also always had their unsolicited advice and uncanny knack of embarrassing him at all costs. Now that he's an adult and trying to convince the love of his life to love him back, things haven't changed very much from when he was younger.
When Gavin's best friend Tyler suggests he make a to-do list of items that will ensure he wins the girl, Gavin is one-hundred-percent on board: after a few six packs.
After puking in the shrubs, a bad experience with Viagra, a Sex-Ed course gone wrong, and a slew of other mishaps courtesy of his family and friends, Gavin is pretty sure this list will be the death of him.
Sometimes, trying to make someone love you with a list isn't always the best idea. Especially when "Show her your penis" is the first "to-do" item...
TeriLyn's thoughts: Tara Sivec can cure a book hangover with her hilarious one-liners and witty dialogue. Love and Lists is no different. It will be hard for me to ever enjoy a chocolate lovers couple more than Carter and Claire but they all completely entertain me. Love and Lists looks a Gavin twenty years later as an adult and his best friend/secret love Charlotte Gilmore. Gavin's antics are completely in sync with the crazy family he grew up in; he and Charlotte are after each other and they are both clueless that the other is in the same boat. Although somewhat understated from their parents they still indulge in the same brand of crazy. Gavin and Charlotte's story is just as sweet as it is hilarious. There are so many great one-liners in this book not just from them but from the whole crew. Also, Love and Lists adds Gavin's best friend, Tyler, to the mix. Tyler is Drew 2.0 and is a great addition to the crew. It doesn't surprise me that Gavin has a best friend who's personality rivals Drew and I'm so glad we got to meet him. If you need a good, easy story to read after a book hangover, a Tara Sivec is definitely the cure. Love and Lists is laugh out loud funny.

Book Review: Worth The Fight
WORTH THE FIGHT (MMA Fighter, #1) by Vi Keeland: It didn't matter that the ref called it a clean hit. Nico Hunter would never be the same.
Elle has a good life. A job she loves, a great apartment, and the guy she’s been dating for more than two years is a catch and a half. But it’s boring…and she strives to keep it that way. Too many emotions are dangerous. Her own past is living proof of what can happen when you lose control.
Then Nico walks into Elle’s office and everything changes…for both of them. But what can the tattooed, hard-bodied MMA fighter and the beautiful and always steady attorney have in common? A lot more than they bargained for.
***Author's note*** THIS IS A STAND-ALONE NOVEL. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.
TeriLyn's thoughts: I loved Worth the Fight. I loved Nico Hunter. I loved Vi Keeland's writing. This was my first book of hers and I'm forever a fan. Being inside both Nico and Elle's minds is perfect for this story. The author does a great job of not lingering on unnecessary and mundane details of their times together but instead focuses on the important moments.
Elle and Nico have very unique pasts that are completely unrelated to each other but at the same exactly the same. From the first moment the two meet they find a kindred spirit in the other without even understanding why. I've said before and I'll repeat it again I can't get enough of love stories where both the hero and heroine are broken and vulnerable only being able to really start living again when they meet one another. Nico and Elle are no different.
Nico is strong, tough, rough around the edges but his vulnerability is what makes him who he is and what makes you feel for him. He says the most honest sentiments to Elle, sentiments that will make you swoon coming from a man who is all man. Elle describes it better than me: "But his words, that's what does me in. They're raw and honest and filled with emotions, and I can actually feel my heart swell as they're spoken." And she's right, Keeland's dialogue writing makes you believe everything he professes to Elle because it's such a juxtaposition next to the way he looks and what he does for a living. You can't believe he's anything but real.
Elle is an equally heroine; strong in her convictions and easily assured by Nico. She knows she's found something worth fighting for in him and she holds onto that. She has been living day to day with no emotions, existing without feeling because of the hold the guilt of her past has on her. Nico describes her best when he says "And when I look in your eyes I see a little light flicker...And for the last twenty four hours all I could think about was what it would take for me to turn that flicker into a flame." Their relationship progression was perfect for me, not too fast or slow. It's a really powerful, moving love story. I'm so excited to read the second installment and more by Ms. Keeland.
