पणजी सथित निजी परयटन कंपनी में सेलस मैनेजर आनंद कुमार एक अरसे बाद कुछ दिनों की छुटटियों पर अपने घर अलीगढ आया था। पहले कभी कॉलेज हॉसटल से छुटटियों में घर लौटकर जो हफ़तों की बेफिकरी रहती थी वो इस अवकाश में नहीं थी। रासते में ही आनंद को काम में कुछ अधूरे परोजेकटस की बेचैनी सता रही थी। माँ, पिता और छोटी बहन से मिलकर कुछ देर के लिए आनंद को सुकून मिला। 
माँ देखते ही शिकायत करने लगी कि "रंग कितना गिर गया है, चेहरे पर निशान हो गए हैं। अपना बिलकुल भी खयाल नहीं रखता ये लड़का!" 
घर अब पहले सा कयों...

किन्नर माँ (कहानी)

बिललो के घर के बाहर उसके साथी किननरों का समूह जमा था। बिललो के बाहर निकलते ही सबने उसे घेर लिया, भावुक सरोज दल का नेतृतव कर रहा था।
सरोज - "तू रूमी को कयों पढ़ा रही है? तुझे उसकी माँ बनने का शौक चढ़ा है?"
बिललो - "रूमी बहुत होशियार है। गरैजुएशन कर लिया है, अभी पुलिस अफसर का एगजाम निकाल देगी देखना!"
सरोज - "नशा किया है तूने? शादी का सीजन है, काम पे लगा इसको!"
बिललो - "कयों तुझे चिढ मच रही है कि उसको नाचने-गाने के अलावा कुछ करने को मिल रहा है?"
सरोज रुँधे गले से बोला - "तुझे पता है रूमी फिजिकल टेसट मे...

मवाली भूत (कहानी)

गिरधारी बाबा ऊपरी संकट, भूत-परेत-चुड़ैल भगाने में पारंगत थे। एक सुनसान रात बाबा भारी जवर से पीड़ित अपने आशरम के बाहर पड़े होते हैं और कई भूत, चुड़ैल और परेत उनहें घेर लेते हैं। बुखार मे तप रहे बाबा कराहते हुए कहते हैं - "चीटिंग! अब इस हालत में बदला लोगे तुम लोग?"
