The sun starts shining again in The Netherlands.

I am waking up with the sounds of birds and everywhere I go I see more and more flowers popping up from the ground; time for spring.


More and more people work location-independent. How to live this lifestyle and what it’s all about I wrote some months ago, and can you read here.

A workation is a vacation full of inspiration where you work on your own goals, get to meet new people, follow workshops and go on adventures.


Workations aren’t something new. Great organizers are Coworkation and Remoteyear. They organize amazing trips all around the world with a bunch of awesome people and activities. It has all the great aspects of a vacation and you’re able to work (probably even more focused and effective than you do in your office because of going out your daily routine).

But unfortunate we don’t all have the time (and money) to go abroad. A couple of years ago I start thinking. Every time I came back from a journey I felt kind of down coming back. It wasn’t the sun that was missing, it was the old standard routine that gave me the feeling that I was back. But hey, if I changed my routine maybe I could feel the holiday vibe again. We have so many different cultures, places and beautiful nature in our tiny, little country why not using it?

Cool stuff:

Our young and dynamic catering team makes the nicest breakfasts and lunches for a good price. Food is all biological, there are choices for veggies and special diets. Check it out!

What’s it?

De Voorkamer is a meeting space for refugee center residents and local inhabitants of Utrecht. A place to meet, a place to play, a place to learn, a place to create, and simply a place to feel at home.


Cool stuff:

Do you feel like having a sandwich or you rather go crazy and make some delicious falafel? Feel free and use our kitchen. De Voorkamer presents its work all over the place. Do you feel bored and need a distraction? Have a look around and be amazed by the work and stories of our participants. What about a game of sjoel or backgammon as a break?

How does it work?

Choose a location, maybe more than 1, book your seat and go there! I guarantee that you will feel great after working in one of these awesome locations. Maybe you can even organize a tour for yourself? Like this one:


Day 1: Start in Utrecht.

Do a great morning session in Het Stadshuisje.

During lunch time you can walk to the Kanaalstraat. Here you can buy delicious food and you can prepare it in the kitchen of De Voorkamer. Here you will work the rest of the day.

At the end of the day, you walk to the station (just 10 minutes) and take the train to Vinkeveen. Here you find the address where you should go to.


You check out the sunset at this magical place and finish some stuff of this first amazing day in one of the boathouses where you will sleep as well.



Day 2: Halfway Amsterdam

You wake up and hear the birds. You will have a small walk next to the Vinkeveense plassen. In the morning you will work in this place with a cool view over the Marina. After lunch, you take the bus (just a 1-minute walk) and you go to the center of Amsterdam. The rest of the day you will work and meet Erik in his place; A house with a view. Again a view over the water. Erik can help you out with all kinds of stuff and will give you an inspirational afternoon. Later that day you are going to do something fun! You go to FUNBASE! Till 18:00 you can work and play here. But after 6 the friday party starts so you will have a great night there! Funbase is a soft play center for adults on the weekends—now open for co-working on weekdays. From zen room to nerf gun game and even a ball pit area!! Boeren & Buren zoekt lokale initiatiefnemers voedselnetwerk

Wie zijn wij?


Boeren & Buren is een korte keten-netwerk dat producenten en consumenten samenbrengt. In 2011 werd het in Frankrijk opgericht om de lokale landbouw te ondersteunen. Inmiddels bestaan er in heel Europa al meer dan 1000 Buurderijen die met succes draaien! Door de keten te verkorten kunnen boeren zelf hun prijzen bepalen en ontvangen zij 80 % van de verkoopprijs van hun producten. In Nederland zijn we sinds kort actief en zijn er inmiddels al vijf Buurderijen open. Het netwerk groeit als kool en er komen steeds meer Buurderijen bij!


Hoe werkt het?  


Via boerenenburen.nl kan je rechtstreeks bestellen bij boeren bij jou in de buurt. Vervolgens komt iedereen samen op de “Buurderij”, waar je de vooraf online bestelde producten persoonlijk van de boeren ontvangt. Zo leer je de mensen achter je voedsel kennen, weet je hoe het geproduceerd wordt, en ontvangen zij een eerlijke prijs voor hun producten. De producten worden voor jou op bestelling geoogst of bereid en zijn dus vers van het land. Bovendien gaan de Boeren zonder overschotten naar huis en wordt er dus geen voedsel verspild.


Wie zoeken wij?


We zijn op zoek naar lokale initiatiefnemers, die willen meehelpen het netwerk uit te breiden door een Buurderij te openen in hun eigen buurt. Je gaat op zoek naar een geschikte locatie en brengt producenten en buren op een leuke manier samen. Je bent het gezicht en aanspreekpunt tijdens de wekelijkse Buurderij-bijeenkomst en brengt “leven in de Buurderij”. Als Buurderij-Verantwoordelijke ben je:



Gepassioneerd over lekker eten, lokale landbouw en de missie van Boeren & Buren;
Enthousiast, ondernemend en gemotiveerd;
Sociaal en communicatief vaardig, je kan mensen verbinden;
Handig met de computer en bij voorkeur ook sociale media;
In staat zelfstandig te werken;
Bereid je in te schrijven bij de KvK (als je niet al ingeschreven bent natuurlijk)
In de gelegenheid 8-12u p/w aan het runnen van je Buurderij te besteden.

Als Buurderij-Verantwoordelijke ontvang je een vaste marge (10 %) van de wekelijkse omzet. Hoe succesvoller je bent als Buurderij-Verantwoordelijke, hoe beter je Buurderij gaat draaien en hoe beter je verdiensten dus! En je staat er uiteraard niet alleen voor. Seats2meet.com is een geweldig platform waar dagelijks honderden zelfstandige professionals ontmoeten, werken, eten, drinken, feesten en vooral nieuwe waarde creëren. We worden gedreven door de visie Society3.0, waarvan je hier een korte uitleg vindt, en hier zelf het boek kunt lezen!

How to live with a holiday vibe forever?

I have to admit something.

I am a huge fan. I am a huge fan of a woman called Floortje Dessing.

She is a dutch lady that travels around the world, searching and visiting people that literally are living on the edge of the world. In here tv show called; Floortje naar het einde van de wereld (that means Floortje to the end of the world) she is visiting those family’s and showing their way of living. If you ever thought it’s impossible to travel with kids, a fixed job or no money, think again.


So, why am I telling you this? Remember the blog about living the location independent lifestyle? Here’s my next list how to feel and change your life easy into one of a traveler.


 


1.Read, reading is free entertainment while you get wiser, tranquil and reduce stress.

Ada Kaspersma brings high level consultancy for entrepreneurs

Last week I was lucky enough to meet Ada Kaspersma. She is a force of nature who lived in Belgium, America, France and ended up in Utrecht, where she studied psychology and in Amsterdam, where she studied communication. For a long time she worked in corporate companies as consultancy and law firms. Five years ago was when she had a change of heart.


Realizing that the corporate world wasn’t for her anymore, she drifted to an entirely different field: jewelry. She started the web shop bebalancedbeads.nl four years ago. As you can imagine from the name, the accessories are not only for an aesthetic purpose. Ada knows and explains which kind of energy each stone transmits. For example, Prehnite is suitable for personal and spiritual growth, Labradorite is protective, and Amethyst is purifying.


At the same time, she realized that having focused and being organized enough to start a business is a large advantage she acquired when working at her previous jobs. New entrepreneurs and freelancers face the same challenge, so why not help them? Ada started helping friends by writing business plans for them until it occurred to her that it is essential for every entrepreneur to go through those steps themselves. That’s when she changed it to a coaching format.
