Where is your focus?
Reposting from my Instagram post.
We live in a universe which rewards our primary focus. Wherever 51% of our daily focus lay is what the world reflects, the people around us, the situations we encounter, what we experience.
If we are focused more on “I must get them before they get me!” “How dare they! They want to violate me, I’ll get them!” If our thoughts primarily focus on attacking, people coming for us, the world around us will reflect that.
If we’re focused on, “I’m violated, they al...

Reacting versus responding
What is emotionally being triggered and reacting versus emotional control and responding?
This is something that over the past . . . well, I guess I should just say life because really, it’s a life lesson isn’t it? We all have to learn this, we all have to learn how to have adult conversations. That starts with emoting versus being emotionally controlled. Aggression and attacking versus communicating and expressing. Misunderstanding versus understanding.
I struggled with this a lot growing up because I didn’t have th...

Intolerant tolerance
“There is perhaps no phenomenon which contains so much destructive feeling as ‘moral indignation,’ which permits envy or hate to be acted out under the guise of virtue.”
Erich Fromm
Since this will be musings on a recent happening versus just a quick update, I thought I would write this here. I saw that quote above on Brene Brown’s newest post – https://brenebrown.com/blog/2019/10/09/doubling-down-on-love/ and it fit very well with the musings I was just having.
As you can see from the t...

My editing process
Earlier tonight while I had my hand in dish water, it hit me. I repeatedly discuss my editing process with people individually, but maybe it would be a great idea to put it on my site!
Ya know, so that were someone to come to my site for the first time and stumble upon my editing box on the front page (I’ll link to this on there), they’d see this handy dandy link and go … what do these numbers mean?
On my editing box, I have a mention of round 1/5. Think it’s 5. I lowered it because it looke...

Claiming has been released!
I am currently awaiting the Claiming the Enchantress paperback. I sent off for the proof last night.
Finished the digital version, also got up chapter one to read for free before you purchase the book if you like – https://kimberlysueiverson.com/2019/09/27/claiming-the-enchantress-chapter-one/
I only have around 87 pages left on inputting changing from the paper version of Mitosis to the digital version. By the end of October (maybe middle of month too), I’ll be able to send to my editor fo...

Claiming the Enchantress – Chapter One
Waking up beneath a pile of covers, Mila’s body was approaching inferno level. Grabbing the bulk of weight, she shoved the quilt down to find relief from the sweltering temperature of the cave.
As soon as she did, the sweat encasing her body turned to ice. The brief respite was enough. She gulped in a deep lungful of chilly air from the room. She shivered as she gripped the covers tightly, and slid them up to her chin. A faint hint of burnt wood hung in the air.
Fire. Fireplace to the right...
Witness to the Moon – Chapter One
Mila Warren sat up in bed as the name, “Stefan,” whispered from her lips. A bit of desperation, fear, maybe need thrown in too. Her soul reached out to the nameless faceless male in her dreams, the name forgotten as soon as it came. Her soul called out, reaching for the connection. Reaching for answers.
Scrubbing her face with her hands, she sighed. She had been having the same nightmare for as long as she could remember. A nightmare she didn’t experience every night, thankfully. She wasn’t...

Next book and schedule – community subscriptions!
Few things to cover. My new schedule for how I’ll be posting, where to find me active, and that sort of thing. The new book I’m working on is linked at the bottom.
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking on where my energy is placed.
When I last sent out my newsletter, I asked for help from my readers. I had zero responses. Zero. Not one individual responded. So that told me straight out that me spending many hours a month there composing them, getting them ready, including all the information I d...

Old shirt into dog bed
I decided to turn this old shirt of my brother’s (doesn’t fit) into a dog bed for our littlest. The color matched well with my bedspread I have.
Also, I wanted to make a smaller bed for our littlest, Lucy (9lbs). The one I’ve shown on socials was a bigger one that I used for her, but was designed with one of the bigger dogs in mind. Cheyenne (13lbs) or Kendra (10lbs).
So I grabbed my shirt and figured out the bed size, then pinned.

Only trouble with this was after I was nearly done w sewing...

Uber behind with blogging
Just haven’t had the energy to keep up with the blogging. I have a whole list of things I want to cover, but meh. For now, too tired.
Got Witness to the Moon up on all platforms, I have the paperback published through Amazon. Amazon should have sent it to the other retailers by now. And I think I will try to do a 6×9 through the Draft2Digital beta Print that I was invited to. The book itself is ready to order a proof, but I didn’t have the funds, and right now I have the Lulu copy, which is...
