And now he has a name – and Monday Marketing is back
The Alpha couldn’t just be all, “hey my name is such and such what’s yours?” Instead, he demanded hers, then had an alternate method for telling Kenley his name, lol. Which happens to be Pyotr. When I searched out that name, I looked at all sorts of variations in the spellings and came across Pyotr, which was the first way I’d written it. Think my brain liked the way it was spelled for Tchaikovsky. Seems more use Pytor like it sounds, but I much prefer the way I first wrote it.
Kenley shows...

Two in one
I apologize for republishing the exact post from yesterday. When I do these, I usually use the copy to preserve formatting, and was playing with some MailChimp connection stuff. Then hit publish, forgetting that it wasn’t the old post that I was updating, but I’d made a new post. So if you saw the exact replica from yesterday and went to click it then didn’t see it, I deleted the duplicate. Apologies for the awkwardness.
Today we have reached the part where Kenley is nearing the end. She is...

Will she make it, or no?
She will. That’s not a question, really. Otherwise there would be no story. And the story is about what will happen next?
If there was really a question about who Kenley is, it’s starting to be revealed. Little things come up here and there. Like this moment below.
The others were sitting on the end of the pickup, and inside the bed, waiting until Kenley came up. They took her in and Tanis said, “Are you going to be able to walk?”
Kenley held her eye until Tanis broke eye contact. She grunte...

Hints of who she really is
Kenley relived a moment from her past and ended up falling asleep thinking about it so we now have an early hint as to why she is the way she is, and a bit more background into what happened to her kind.
I’m still struggling with what to call them though, which is bugging me. I hate making a note
to come back to as I write. Every time I write the name of them, I just write “Predator,” followed by {note – beast name}, and it’s annoying, lol. Right now it’s to make sure my mind knows what I’m...

Now we’re getting into it
I didn’t really feel like I wrote much, but apparently I did. I ended up with over 1,000 words today. The story flowed well, the action was heightened, and I was able to get some of the past into the present.
I have a lot of past stuff I want to work into the story. At first the plan was to break it into two parts. Before and After, but gut instinct wouldn’t allow me to leave that. When I write, I think of my readers sometimes. Well, not IN the actual process of writing. During that time the...

So much to focus on at once
Today we had a bunch of details going at once so the majority of the scene was a lot of this all happens at once.
Trying to get it all down and tie it all in was the trick. In edits I’ll be able to really pull it all together, but writing it feels funky during the moment.
Now we’re slowly getting into the story so I’m gonna have more to talk about as we go on, the thoughts in the minds of the characters, and the stuff they’re fighting with. Didn’t get as many words in as I wanted, but I di...

What to expect around here and the environment I cultivate for others around me
Once upon a time I did something like this because it allowed people to know right away: if you’re around here, this is what to expect. A manifesto, a bunch of rules, however you’d like to put it. So I felt it was time to update this.
Too many arrogant individuals have come around through the years, feeling superior and that simply being here, they had a right to say and do as they pleased. Because how DARE anyone tell THEM what to do. Because THEY could do as they pleased. You can. You just...

First glimpse of the Alpha
Went to bed late last night – super late compared to what I usually do – so today I’m beyond tired and sluggish. Also because of lack of sleep, mood took a nosedive. Think there’s a full moon too, and I have found lately that I get emotional just before those happen. So odd. Why did I go to bed late? Because I stayed up to watch Aquaman.
The graphics and the like were incredibly done. Personally I prefer the bad little brother to Aquaman though. lol I like big boys like Jason Mamoa, but I f...

Flinging off the cobwebs
Slowly the fingers and brain are getting into the flow again. I found an incredible video to listen to in the background of what I was writing today. This here set the mood for where Kenley and her brother’s pack found themselves. Well, there are two.
Found those two sounds and was quite happy. Made my brain tune out of life and straight into the story. So that was a huge help in getting my mind back into writing, but I did keep having to go back and forth here and there because I was...

Savage Lands has begun
Today was the first official day I began writing. I piddled yesterday. So not much to share. I’m currently editing Witness to the Moon annnnd now I’m gonna get back to it.
