Werewolf 2019

I am gearing up to begin the next writing project. Today I have been working on the scene list. Actually, I’ve been challenging myself to do it by a plot card scene list.

Normally I just start writing, then end up with a bullet list at the end of my document, which I refer back and forth too. On some novels I keep it in a separate file and use strike through to show what I’ve used, what I haven’t. I used to delete it, but now I keep it because seeing it (something I’ve used to generate an al...

The final exam

I am nearing the end . . . finally. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed the Creative Writing course, but when things interfere with my writing, I tend to get a little frustrated. Okay, a lot frustrated. But I think in the end, it was good. Taking that massive break to focus on the course, then get my schedule back on normal track again has been such a good thing. It’s resulted in many changes in my day to day schedule as well. Not change as in, doing things differently from before, as much as ge...

What not to do as a writer.

Plagiarize. Especially in the internet age where you can be found out, then things go bad, real quick.

I was logging in to do some transcribing of this story of mine over the weekend when I thought I’d go through some emails – always good to try to get through a few more. Somehow the last part of this story isn’t on my SD drive, or anywhere else for that matter, but it was printed out, so I am writing it back into the digital form. I didn’t want this paper version to be the only thing I had....

Finishing up Don’t Go Far redo

My plan with running through Don’t Go Far real quick was to refamiliarize myself with the story. I figured I may as well do a quick edit on it just to be sure I have everything clear and it all makes sense with the overall story of the world, not just series. I think I’ve only really put in a few major changes. Or, what would be considered major. It’s just a few notes (sentences) that I’ve typed in which end up tying in the overall story to the rest of the world.

Not that it hasn’t been tie...

Time for some titles

We are closing in on the time I begin to write. It’ll be the stories I’ve been outlining for the past few months while I’ve been finishing up my creative writing course. I say outlining, but it’s mostly playing around with scene ideas in my head and writing information down. Not fully pulling out a story outline. I only have about 25% of the story really worked out.

I have a bunch of them. So that means I have quite a few story titles to figure out. If you’ve followed me on Facebook, you kn...

My 30 Days of Play challenge

One of the things I’m going to talk about more is what can be boiled down to Law of Attraction. I don’t want to strictly refer to it as LOA because the majority of Law of Attraction lately had been based on us lacking and wanting. On doing something, on controlling an outcome to achieve a goal of “something.” Working hard to get what we want. What we’re missing, we want to bring to us. And it is so much beyond that. I don’t want to get caught up in labels that trigger a misunderstanding. And...

Start of a new

I’ve slowly been trying to get things updated around this site and prepare myself for writing again. Still working on completing my creative writing course, which cuts into my writing time so I’ve just been taking that entire break. Felt that I needed a time off and sometimes we have to listen to those instincts. Some writers believe that when someone takes a break from the writing, it’s a negative thing, but it’s important to listen to that deeper self. The idea being that it’s nearly imposs...

Dark Illusions: The Final Chapter – Extended Edition – Chapter 1

“What the hell do you mean Julian’s coming for you?” Sean demanded. “Explain that. You did that disappearing act again. You were here . . . but not.” Sean searched her face for answers. Kat tried to move away, but Sean wrapped both of his hands around her face. “What. happened?”

“I had another vision.” Kat shuddered and closed her eyes for a second, then took a deep breath. Suppressing her anger caused her gums to ache from holding her fangs back.

Breathing came much easier to her, despite be...

October releases & sparking creative ideas

Going to reshare my most recent newsletter through here so that I don’t have to repeat the information. The link at the bottom will take you to the web version of the October newsletter so that you can continue reading, including the extra I wrote about.

Under Empty Stars – Ellie Versus Stone

“What makes you think you’re strong enough to take it?”

Again he read her with ease. “I may be the only one.”

She smiled. “So why would I ask for one of them? I don’t want gentle and perfect words. I do...
