I allowed the brain to disengage, but shouldn't have
Brain didn’t cooperate. Not many words. Instead of being blase about that, I’m gonna actually go deep into that for a change. As I’ve made mention, I want to be more open. I’ve been too scared too from the folks who LOVE to tell us how to “fix” ourselves and the like. How THEY know what’s up and if we just do it that way, and live as they wish us to, it’ll ALLLLL be solved. I can be bad about that too. I’m trying to be better about it, reminding myself we don’t all have the answers. Sometimes...

Another good day
Gonna share this as a firstie. Mostly because I think it has a lot of good information. For whatever reason that was something in a dream I had last night too. I was dreaming that I had my Instagram hacked and then there before my eyes, the name was being changed, the images changed.
I’ve been seeing a few YouTube folks (there are more it seems) who’ve had their channels hacked and then spam posted through them. Then they had to fight to get the channel back, so I thought this was worth...

And we are off. Even after all this time, the fear is there.
And we are off, as it says in the title.
My opening line that’s been sticking with me for over a week.
In 2032 the world fell, but she was already on her way out.
I was going to say this morning, but I guess it’s been the past few days, really. I’ve been thinking about how there is that nice little prickle of fear that began the other day. Fear of the writing. Fear of not having story. Fear of a lot.
I have been writing since 18 yrs of age. Over twenty years.
A history for those who haven’t...

Character interview
I rarely share these weird things, but a few months ago, thought I would. Here’s the kind of processing I do for stories. I ask a question, then let it pour. As you can see too for those who know my handwriting, this just goes off. It’s far scratchier and nuttier than my own. A character can go rampant so I loosen the grip on my pen and just let it go. I don’t censor, don’t curb, just prod my subconscious (character) and release it. Then ask a question to keep it in a certain area if it...

Found this incredible artist on Instagram
This morning I decided to peruse the “explore” tab on Instagram. Rarely do it anymore, but I had some free time so I did. Found this incredible artist who made a post a few days ago of the near perfect replica that is in my head. It’s for my [male] main character.

Random house plant note
Did you know that wandering jew loves to grow in water? Watch all those who knew that now comment, “dduuhhhhh.” I have two different planters in front of my window. Since my mom had the windows upgraded years and years ago, we lost our windowsills. Maybe by half. So it limits the size of planter I can use in the windowsill unless I build a shelf, and that would extend out so the curtain catches. In my room? Not an interest for me.
BUT, what does fit well are small glass candle holders that I...

By clear favored choice
The title for the next book I write is going to be Creations of the Galaxy. For those who offered me the time with your thoughts, a click on the voting, or which you favored on the posts, I sincerely appreciate it. That you gave me that moment of your time.
[image error]The best part is that it was the original idea for the title. I heard it in my head, and instantly went yup that one works. But then from the Galaxy came to mind and I started to overthink. I should just learn to trust that initial...

Taking it easy this weekend
Why? I can feel the first stage of burnout happening. Currently just in the warning phase. Take it easy or uh oh. I pushed myself two weeks ago to get the file out for Law of the Beast, to my editor by Friday. Then last week I pushed myself to finish writing Scorched Silence.
Didn’t sleep well last night so that didn’t help. Think stress began to build up too. This is why it’s vital to take care of ourselves. Stuff started to compile very quickly last night so that contributed. Then today I...

Finished writing Scorched Silence
Yesterday I posted a poll (which I find now I have to manually check for the results, lol) for which title grabs you most. You can see the post here if you wanna add a click to which you like more – https://kimberlysueiverson.com/2020/02/13/which-title-grabs-you-most/. So far it seems to be Creations OF the Galaxy as the favorite (tallying from all places, not just that one). But I still need more random folks so if you want to pop over there, or just tell me below, I’d super duper...

Which title grabs you most?
So I’ve been overthinking myself. Which is when I go to you. As usual, you can vote in this no matter who you are. It doesn’t matter if you’re a reader, a friend, or what. The whole purpose of a title is to grab attention.
So? Which title would you grab and wonder . . . what is this about?
I considered not even allowing the votes to be shown because I don’t like to have it alter a thought so I ask that you not view them until after you’ve chosen. There isn’t a right and wrong to this. It...
