I feel for Kora ya know?

Here she is, wanting desperately to leave where she is, and it feels as if every time she finds her footing something drags her back down. I’m sure we’ve all felt that way. Not necessarily because we wanted to leave where we were (maybe we just needed a break from what we were dealing with), but we felt as if we finally managed to find solid ground, things were beginning to roll again, and then

BAM

Floor is stripped from beneath us, we’re tumbling, don’t know which way is up, then we’re once...

Got Into The Midst formatted

So I’ve been working on getting it uploaded this morning and afternoon. Kept having to fix small things that I’d missed again and again. Just title fixes in my lists of books. Then the links to my Facebook page. Changed it to facebook.com/kimberlysueiverson. For whatever reason I got a massive dose of deja vu writing that out, lol. I saw a glimpse of a dream I’d had, but that link? Weird.

So now as the sites upload to the retailers (digital), you’ll be able to find it.

I’ve added the link to...

Formatting Into The Midst

This weekend, I am formatting Into the Midst for digital publishing. Been thinking about doing it as one of the updates since I’ve had it exclusive to paperback for quite a bit. Had someone ask for it in my latest newsletter when I sent out my special offer so I figured I’d bump it up to the top of my “updating,” list. They’ll be getting the first copy before it’s available to buy online.

Still working on getting all the first chapters for all my books updated, and a few other things that my...

She faces a tough decision

Who am I referring to? Kora Clark in Scorched Silence. Today was the first day she had a last name. She is my main lead. We shall discuss one of her decisions today. She is faced with a difficult one right now. The man who made her have to run away from the place she’d called home (reluctantly as she was basically prisoner, along with her best friend) has shown up at the place she is at now. You see she went through a little bit of hell to get there. She nearly lost her life among other thing...

Fixin to send newsletter

And there is gonna be a lot of information to share today. Might be more than normal just because I’ve been doing a lot of stuff in the past few months. Hence I took a big ol’ step back from social media. At least it was one of the reasons.

I normally send it about 4-5pm PST so that is in about 1 1/2 to 2 hours from when this will be posted.

To those who’ve signed up?

Thank you! [image error]

Finally finished with page updates

So now I’m gonna go through and ensure 1) I have all the first chapters up for the ones that are long enough to have them. If not, and they’re a short? I’ll do a few sentences or paragraphs, depending on the length of the book.

And if I do have the first chapters up for the novels, I’m gonna ensure that they’re looking okay. With the new block editor WP has, it doesn’t make the pages look different, but for me editing them? It can. I’ll just bring them up to date.

Here are the ones I...

Where I'm at – Law of the Beast

As I stated yesterday, I was nearing the end of inputting changes with Law of the Beast. I mentioned part of my editing process and that I was going to be searching out words in particular that I wanted to go over before sending it off. In this case, I’m actually going over a search for the ing words. That’s where I’m at today, what I’ll be working on.

If you use Word and want to know how I search that out, it’s using the advanced search feature. I enable wild cards. And then in the search...

Random updates to note

So I guess I’m very late to the Harry Styles train. Also, see: old so I don’t typically seek out the younger groups. But, I heard this song recently and it got added to my DMDU playlist on YouTube, as well as Spotify. I think it really fits Verrick and Kylarra’s story line. But I do have to say, he has some powerful vocals too.

Life has a lovely way of getting in the middle of writers and their work, no matter how hard we try to avoid that. Byproduct of working at home, really. Our dryer...

Updated a few more pages

Very glad I’m doing this. As I told my editor, I discovered that I hadn’t even uploaded a chapter one for Under Empty Stars. If you saw the two recent posts I did, I got those up, and even included a free read of chapter two (not something I do typically for the novels) because of that mistake. So you can read chapter one (https://kimberlysueiverson.com/2020/01/19/under-empty-stars-chapter-one/) and at the bottom I have two up as well and linked so you can just continue on.

I also discovered...
