ABOUT BEN ADAMS
Like a lot of people, Ben went to school, then college and eventually grew up and got a responsible job, a house and a family. And then his mid-life crisis kicked in.
Realising that life was in danger of becoming all too serious, Ben started writing. Not in the way that Forrest Gump started running, but at least he started. He wrote on steamed up mirrors in the bathroom to make his children smile. Eventually he graduated to making up stories to entertain his kids at bedtime.
For some reason, his boys didn't seem interested in his tales of every-day life, relationships, family, trauma, farce and the occasional bit of debauchery. They preferred JK someone or other.
Following his short-lived career as a children's author, Ben now concentrates on writing stories for grown-ups. He writes for people who have lived, loved, worked, strived and suffered - people like him. People like you.
Ben lives in southwest London with his two boys and Albus, his dog.

5 Stars - Author Victoria Adams does an excellent job at bringing characters to life. I really enjoyed living through Julie's dream of becoming a dancer and her connection with Robert. Yeah, Robert may have gotten himself in the wrong crowd, but he really does portray a compassionate person and in the end he really does grow on you. Can't wait to see the next one in the series!

Jenna Jaxon is a multi-published author of historical and contemporary romance.  She has been reading and writing historical romance since she was a teenager.  A romantic herself, she has always loved a dark side to the genre, a twist, suspense, a surprise.  She tries to incorporate all of these elements into her own stories. She lives in Virginia with her family and a small menagerie of pets.  When not reading or writing, she indulges her passion for the theatre, working with local theatres as a director.  She often feels she is directing her characters on their own private stage. Jenna is a PAN member of Romance Writers of America as well as President of Chesapeake Romance Writers, her local chapter of RWA. She has equated her writing to an addiction to chocolate because once she starts she just can’t stop.

Welcome to my January posting for ISWG. Where we: post our thoughts, talk about our doubts, any fears we may have conquered, discuss our struggles and triumphs, and offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling.

To start - I hope everyone is refreshed from the holidays and is raring to charge into 2016!

Over Christmas, I joined a writer's group. I know. I know. This is a writer's group. No, I mean this is an actual group with live human beings and we meet on the third Monday of the month at the local library.  Which means I have to leave my safe and secure writer's cave and venture out into that big scary world and meet real people. Like minded people, I'll grant you - but this is my first meeting and there is a writing challenge and I'm an introvert - so all of this has pretty well put me into panic mode.  I've written this month's challenge and sent it to my cp. Don't want to sound like a total doofus on my first day.

So with fingers crossed, and edited writing challenge in hand, I will - bravely - saunter into the meeting and stake my claim on a seat. (I have a feeling that was much easier to type than it's going to be to do.)


Note - I don't think I'll be here for Feb's challenge - my blog is booked for that day because I am unable to read a calendar - hits self in forehead.

After finishing a rewarding career in finance and accounting, it was time for Rosalie Redd to put away the spreadsheets and take out the word processor. She writes Fantasy/Science Fiction Romance inspired by classics from the science fiction, fantasy, and horror genres layered with a good, hot dose of romance.
