What have I gotten myself into now? My Insecure Writer's Support Group post for January #IWSG

Welcome to my January posting for ISWG. Where we: post our thoughts, talk about our doubts, any fears we may have conquered, discuss our struggles and triumphs, and offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling.

To start - I hope everyone is refreshed from the holidays and is raring to charge into 2016!

Over Christmas, I joined a writer's group. I know. I know. This is a writer's group. No, I mean this is an actual group with live human beings and we meet on the third Monday of the month at the local library.  Which means I have to leave my safe and secure writer's cave and venture out into that big scary world and meet real people. Like minded people, I'll grant you - but this is my first meeting and there is a writing challenge and I'm an introvert - so all of this has pretty well put me into panic mode.  I've written this month's challenge and sent it to my cp. Don't want to sound like a total doofus on my first day.

So with fingers crossed, and edited writing challenge in hand, I will - bravely - saunter into the meeting and stake my claim on a seat. (I have a feeling that was much easier to type than it's going to be to do.)


Note - I don't think I'll be here for Feb's challenge - my blog is booked for that day because I am unable to read a calendar - hits self in forehead.
