Charles W. Jones grew up in the small town Shoshoni, WY, and he managed to break free from its grasp with his soul intact. Growing up in a small town scared him to death most of the time. It's very dark at night - really dark. To top it off, it is full of ghosts; well, that's what Charles thought when he was kid. Turns out it was just the constant wind blowing dirt and tumbleweeds. Two of Charles' novels are set in Shoshoni, Dreamwalker: The Second Plain and HOME A Novel.

There isn't a part of the horror genre Charles doesn't like. He likes it creepy, filled with suspense, or even brutal with intense torture scenes. His favorite horror movies have always been the slasher movies; give him the gore. Clive Barker is Charles' greatest influence, but is also inspired by Lewis Carroll, Stephen King, and Frank Beddor. Real life is a large contributor to his writing, where he finds beauty in the most unexpected places.
Music has always been a great contributor to Charles' life, by means of not only entertainment, but personal soundtrack. When he writes, he listens to different types of music to set the mood of the scene he is writing. Eurythmics will always be at the top of his playlist, but many other bands and genres occupy his mind.

C. J. Rose lives in Central Illinois. Originally from just south of Chicago, Rose is not married and has no children. The passion for writing took root in high school where she began writing song lyrics and poetry. On top of literature, Rose has a keen love for all things nerdy and sci-fi. On a quiet night, you can find her curled up with an episode or Doctor Who, Arrow, Firefly, and more. C. J. also belongs to a theatre organization located in her town. The devotion to musicals and theatre has led her to be a part of over 10 shows as an actress, and over 20 as a staff person. Lastly, because she wasn't busy enough, C. J. has her own bow company where she sells hair bows, bowties, scarves, lip balms, key fobs and more.

When it comes to her writing, it was an itch that needed to be scratched. While working on a cookbook, and reading her typical fantasy fiction novel, the idea came to her. She took the love of all the books she has read and turned then into a novel of her own. Published by Burning Horse Media in 2014, Generation Son: Bridge of the Gods was born. Selling over 100 copies in the first month. In 2015, Rose finished penning the second novel in the series; To Rescue a King. Being new to the game, Rose has struggled to do most of it on her own. One thing she vows, is to never give up.
The focus of the novel series is to not only bring her fantasy and ideas to life, but take those stories and make them a fun learning experience for the younger generation.

I don’t remember when the voices stopped, but they were gone. That’s all I cared about. My head swam when I tried to sit up—actually, it felt like a mad elephant was dancing in my brain—and so it took me a moment to make out that I was still in the headmaster’s office. Perched on the couch, I listened to the rain while I waited for the dizziness to fade. When I finally stood, I noticed several things about my surroundings. I don’t know how or why I picked up on these things; they just came to me as I took in the room. For one, the window to my right was ten paces away. I could reach it in a blink without even trying. Then there was the desk on the other side of the office. It was too far to run to in a pinch, but with a quick dash and a jump I could swing off the low-hanging chandelier and land just behind it for safety. I spotted a crystal paperweight on the desk and knew it was just the right thing to divert a Sprite’s attention. What a Sprite was, I didn’t know (beyond the name of the soft drink) but that paperweight would do the trick. Just then my hand shot out from my side unbidden. I sensed it more than saw it, and before I could even blink I had snatched the small object that flew at my head right out of the air. I turned as a familiar grunt emanated from the shadows by the door. “Your reflexes have improved. Good.”  
    Author Samuel Thews Samuel Thews has been writing stories since he was old enough to hold a pencil. As a child, he reveled in the stories of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Brian Jacques and other fantasy authors. A life-long reader, he is a fan of J.K. Rowling, Neil Gaiman and mystery author M.C. Beaton. He has also read Les Miserables not once, but twice. Unabridged, of course. Although his educational background is in science and law, it is still the magical and fantastical that excites him. He enjoys writing stories for his daughters, who will hear one bedtime tale and ask that it be turned into a book. Kirsten grew up in the Western US and graduated from high school in 1984. She married soon there after and quickly built a family. With three young children and number four on the way, she returned to college in 1992. Her career as a draftsman included many settings ranging from a steel fabrication shops to prestigious engineering firms. Balancing family life with the workplace forced her to become the queen of multitasking. In 2001, bored with the cubical life, she moved on to teach drafting in technical college, then to opening her own consulting firm teaching 3D engineering software. Due to health problems, Kirsten retired in 2012 to travel with her husband for his job. She now works writing romance novels and enjoys spoiling her three grandchildren. Since 2017 Kirsten has lived and worked full time in a 40' travel trailer with her husband and her little dog Bingo.
