Released Souls info and a little contest!

Hey all~

If you were on my FB page recently you might have seen a few pictures from our most recent trip up to Whistler. As many of you know, that's one of my favorite places to spend time, and it just happens to be a pretty big part of The Watchers Trilogy!

It was a really fun mini-vacation and we got to spend time with some great friends. Whistler mountain had a rail competition the last night we were there, and it was awesome to see the skiers and boarders do so many tricks!! I soooo can't do that!! I did find myself skiing backward down the hill though, which was waaaaay too thrilling-frightening-scary so I ended 'my trick' by falling on my face! It was the only way I could get out of it!!

All completely planned of course!! Thankfully the skis popped off like they're supposed to and I got right back up. Okay, not right back up. I had to shake it off.

Anywho, along with staring at all the village shops, eating endless amounts of poutine, and snowboarding/skiing I was able to fit in some writing time - Yay me!

I've been working on The Camp, which is a romantic/suspense and I posted the cover back in December. I'm so excited about it, and I hope you guys will enjoy reading it as much as I've enjoyed writing about Liam and Emma. I'm still in the writing stage and will be thrilled once I send it off to the editors and have an exact release date to announce. I can't wait to start handing out some teasers!! Liam's character has been so much fun....

And speaking of teasers, Released Souls will be released on January 30th! I'm so ecstatic about this addition to the series!! It really amps things up and I think there will be quite a few surprises... or at least I hope so!! I'll start putting up some teasers over on my Facebook page probably this weekend! A Blog Tour will be coming up in March for it as well, which will be so much fun!

Lonely Souls

It's two weeks before Triss turns 18, and her world is about to change into the most magical one imaginable as she readies to enter The Witch Avenue Order... that is until her mother's disappearance.

New Book announcement!!! Woohoo!!

Hi everybody!!

I hope you had a fabulous Christmas! I can't believe it's over. I always get so excited leading up to the holiday and then it zips by... no matter what! We spent the holiday at home with family and we totally enjoyed it! The local news did get my hopes up because they said snow was on its way - but Nope! We had rain, which is still cozy! Kind of?

Also, you might notice that all my widgets and sidebars vanished! Well, I have GoDaddy working on it again. That's what I get for changing from the Christmas template to this one - lol. I'm hoping they can get them back on here soon!!

Anywho....

Taken (A Watchers Novella) Released Today! + giveaway

I’m super excited to announce that Taken (A Watchers Novella) is out today on Nook and Amazon!! This is the prequel to The Watchers Trilogy that was voted on by the readers over the summer! I ran a contest to see which Novella should be released between Ana or Arie and Ana won. The Arie novella will still be coming out though! It was a close race.

Anywho, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Ours was very relaxing. I cooked up a storm and actually found an awesome Spinach Artichoke dip on ALL Recipes.com that was delicious and so easy to make! I included it at the bottom of the post. I am, however, officially over turkey for a little bit. We made everything we could out of the leftovers, and I think I definitely hit my limit by Sunday.

We did have a little scare on Friday. Buttercup wasn’t feeling well. For those of you who don’t know, she’s our youngest English Bulldog, and is a real sweetheart! We took her to the emergency vet and she had pneumonia AGAIN! She was stable, so they didn’t make her stay for days like last time. We were able to bring her home in the evening. She’s on antibiotics again and we’re taking her to a specialist this week to see if we can figure out what keeps causing it. It was scary and I’m hoping she’s on the mend for good. We got her a few toys to make her feel better and our other bulldog is being very sweet to her, even playing with her, which isn’t usually Bella’s style. Buttercup now has her own personal humidifier too! So if you could keep good thoughts out there for her, I’d really appreciate it.

Well, in the spirit of Holiday cooking, I’d love to hear what your favorite appetizer or snack is. I can never have too many ideas for the month of December!

Spinach Artichoke Recipe from All Recipes

INGREDIENTS:

¼ c butter
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, partially thawed
1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
2 (8 ounce) packages of cream cheese, softened
1 c grated parmesan
cheese
garlic salt to tast

DIRECTIONS:
1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium hear. Stir in the spinach and artichoke hearts. Cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

2. Mix cream cheese and sour cream into the spinach mixture. Stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic salt. Cook, stirring occasionally until thickened, about 10-15 minutes. Serve warm.
I served mine in a crockpot on warm with bagel chips.
