Release Day!! Legions is out now!!

The day has finally arrived!!!  Book 2 of The Watchers Trilogy is officially out!  I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Legions!  It is definitely more action packed than Awakening and was a blast to write as well!
About Legions...As the magical holiday season is disrupted with an afternoon of horror, it becomes apparent that the Legions have begun their uprising around the globe, and Ana does her best to stay strong even though her world has been shattered. It is up to Ana to find the strength within and not fall prey to the dark side as she begins her chase to reclaim what's rightfully hers.

Realizing that Ana's visions alone are not enough to protect them, her family begins her training immediately before she is targeted once more. The Legions will not quit until they get what they want, and they have made it clear that mortals will not be spared, leaving Ana little time to figure out what it is the demons are after.

As Ana balances her time between chasing after her destiny and spending her time relearning how to fight demons, she learns something about her past that could change why she's fighting for anything at all. Clues continue to unfold in the form of yellowed letters she finds from Athen buried within an old Tudor home; and her future is signaled in a lone, white rose left for only her to see giving her the strength to persevere. She is determined to not give up faith that she will have it all once more.

Please check back often for a giveaway or two that just might be in the works to celebrate!!
And as always feel free to email me or leave a comment.
Legions is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords
Happy Wednesday!!

Saturday after Black Friday and I survived!!

Well anyone who follows my twitter probably already knows the good news, which is that our Buttercup is doing great and her tumor was benign!  I am so thankful!!  It was such a relief to hear the news from the vet before the holiday.    Yahoo!!  She is such a sweetie!

We braved the crowds yesterday and went shopping in Seattle.  We usually stay at home and chill the day after Thanksgiving, but this year we went with our friends and made it through totally okay.  I even got some cool gifts, which I can't post online because they might be reading this.  Actually, they better be reading this...
Seattle was very beautiful and all of the decorations were up so that was awesome!  My husband and I have this week off and I hope to hit Bellevue Square because I love their Christmas decorations too!!! Totally ready for the holidays - can you tell?  Would love to hear what your favorite Christmas traditions are!!!

I have received a few emails about when my cover reveal is going to be and wanted you all to know that I will be uploading the image on Monday!  Yeah!!!  I am so looking forward to the release of Legions and hope you will love reading it as much I loved writing it!  The pace definitely quickens as everything begins to reveal itself piece by piece...

Also, don't forget to sign up for the Awakening giveaway kindly hosted by Giselle at Xpresso Reads or remind a friend to sign up before it is over on November 30th!!  She has an amazing website with lots of good finds on there!

Now off to make some mini turkey pot pies to freeze for the future!!!  Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Updates from the Last Week & Thanksgiving Giveaway!!

Just got back from Arizona!  We had a great trip for a friend's wedding (Yeah Jamie) and managed to squeeze in a trip to Sedona and the Grand Canyon.  There was snow on the ground at the Grand Canyon...  how fitting for me and my snow obsession!!  I now have a cold, though, and am hoping it goes away soon because I feel pretty crappy!  I am in that Nyquil haze and am noticing my nose is still stuffy! Boo!!!  Trying to start off with positive news (maybe not the cold portion) because we our worried about our little bully dog, Buttercup...

I am still in shock over some worrisome news about my little Buttercup.  Last night we took her into the ER Vet because we thought she had an abscess and it turns out it is a tumor.  Tomorrow is testing day to find out exactly what type it is.  There are 3 types and they all involve surgery, but it depends on how extensive the surgery is depending on the invasiveness of the tumor.  She is the sweetest little pooch and is totally like our child (our other one is too) so we are just in shock.  If you all could please say a little prayer and think good thoughts I would so appreciate it. I will keep you all posted on her progress.

You can see what a doll she is on my website and my Twitter profile picture!!

That's all for now, but I just wanted to touch base with everyone since I had been out of town for a little bit!

Please stop by xpressoreads.blogspot.com and give your support! It's a fun blog with great reviews and contests!!  I think Awakening will be reviewed on there in the next short while as well.

I will be posting information soon regarding a pre-Thanksgiving Giveaway hosted by:

Received my first official Book Blog Review!!! :)

Just had to share that I received my first official
Book Blog Review!!  I am so excited!  I was thrilled when I started
seeing ratings and reviews appear on Amazon, Good Reads, and B&N, not
knowing really who was placing them, but now to have an official review from my
very first book blogger, I am just beyond words!

The Watchers Trilogy: Awakening was rated
"GOOD" by Danielle @ www.bookwhoreblog.com   Yippee!!!!

Danielle stated, "Another thing I really enjoyed about this
book is the author's incredible use of imagery, from the snow on the ground and
trees, to the crisp feeling of the cold air. Karice Bolton paints the most
perfect holiday picture with words, making this a must read over the holidays."

Please visit her blog for great reviews, recs, and giveaways going forward at the below link on a variety of genres!

Tiny little Glimpse of Legions Cover (out Dec. 2011)

Hey everyone!  I have provided a little glimpse of the Legions cover, which is the next book in The Watchers Trilogy!  I am so excited at how it came together and can't wait for you all to see it in December!  However, I wanted to provided a little snippet from the cover because I just couldn't wait....  The more you get to know me, the more you will realize this is a constant theme!

Also, thank you very much for the response and support for Awakening.  It has meant a lot and I can't wait to keep going and hope everyone will be in for the ride!  Thanks to everyone who has been posting reviews on Amazon, Good Reads, B&N, etc.  it is always a nice surprise to see what someone took the time to write a review!  It is pretty neat to see the interest at is building around this trilogy, and I hope to not disappoint once you get to Legions or Cataclysm.  Haha!  I have loved where it has taken me and hope you will too!
I have a fun surprise coming up near Thanksgiving that I will announce in a few weeks.  Super Excited about it!!!
With the cold weather definitely sticking around now for winter, I have begun the cold weather comfort food parade for our nightly dinners lately.  Tonight, I am making homemade chili and roasted garlic bread!  Yummie.  I also have started to make mini pies with a new gadget I got that makes them also like a quesadilla maker.  You just put the crust in each of the holes, put the filling in, and then put the top crust down and close the machine up and boom!  Mini pies!!!  I have made Chicken Pot pie and all sort of things.  Pretty cool!!!
However, nothing can be as cool as what I saw on the Yahoo front page today.  Check it out.  With a headline reading something like, 'Could this be the next snuggie?'  I had to see and sure enough....  Slippers with headlights...  Just when you thought all of the good ideas were taken - LOL  I provided the As seen on TV link rather than the Yahoo one just in case you couldn't resist and had to buy a pair! haha
Again, thanks to the bloggers, reviewers, readers, friends, and family who have been supporting my entrance into the Publishing world.  It has been far more than I expected so soon.
Thanks!
