Read an Excerpt of Legions here + a little question...
Hope you had a great week!! I am so happy it is Friday! I am working away on Cataclysm and plan on spending the rest
of the night finishing some scenes that have been really fun to write. It is hard for me to believe that I am
in the middle of my third book in the trilogy – that the trilogy is getting
close to wrapping up! I have grown
so fond of Athen & Ana and Cyril & Arie that it is actually a little
sad. I love how these characters
have grown and the adventures that they find themselves in! I don't want it to end!!
The love between Athen and Ana hits home especially so, and
I love getting feedback from you guys about your thoughts on the two! There is so much that happened in
Legions, as many of you know, that created a perfect storm for Cataclysm that
the writing process has been thrilling.
The rollercoaster of writing Cataclysm has been so fun, and I can't wait
to share some with you in the months to come!
That being said, for those of you who haven't read Legions
yet, I wanted to provide a little snippet below. Now, because I am so new to this whole blogging thing, I
would love to know if this is something that you guys are into! I sooo don't want to be boring you to
death when I post topics so please let me know if this is something you'd like
to see more of or not! I'd love to
hear your feedback because I am, in all honestly, still finding my way in the
blogging universe so any ideas or suggestions you have as to what works for a
post or what doesn't - I'd love to hear.
I think it would be great to someday have a nice dialogue going.
Thanks so much! Happy Reading...
Excerpt from The Watchers Trilogy: Legions (Book 2 of The
Watchers Trilogy)
"Do you know who she might
be? Is she a major player?" Watching Cyril and Arie look at each
other as they both began to fidget told me everything I needed to know.
"Her name is Lilith. She's truly the epitome of evil." Arie took a deep breath in. "Her type's been around longer than any
of us. She's part of the
Lamiai. They have the ability to
seduce men by luring them with their beauty. She knows what she's got, and she knows how to use it, both
with mankind and in the underworld.
As you saw, she can encompass beauty in a blink of an eye. Her true form, though, leaves her with
a serpent tail and fiery red hair.
Unfortunately, when she's in one of her other forms, no one can see it
including us."
"I could feel it. That's gotta count for something. Obviously Athen can feel it too,
judging by his recent reading selection.
So, what's her goal?" I
inquired. It seemed odd that all
she would care about is seducing mankind and the underworld.
"Her goal is to reek havoc –
create distractions. Throw her
into the mix of any situation, and you've just added an unpleasant
element. But you don't need to be
told that. You've seen it
firsthand."
That last shot was like a nail
gun aimed directly at my soul.
"It seems so peculiar that
someone with her clout would be involved in something to do with us."
"Well, our lineage is such that..."
Arie stopped herself. Her green
eyes looking as if they lost some of the usual glow I was used to seeing.
"What? It takes one to know one? Or are we so super powerful it takes someone like her? Come on. I can't take much more of this. Why don't you just tell me everything all at once." I was full of contention and spite, my
eyes wouldn't stop darting around the room, I was about to explode. I was tired of knowing half-truths. It seemed the last three months had been
full of almosts and not quites, and I was tired of it. I needed to know what I was facing. What we were facing.

Interview Posted & Reviews Posted on Awakening and Legions + More Giveaways!
I am writing away on Cataclysm and also on the beginnings of a new series that I have started! I am loving the process and research that both are bringing! Hope you guys enjoy the stories to come because I am loving it! My writing flows at night and on the weekends mainly because of my day job -LOL. I actually was hoping to get some done in between Christmas and New Years because we were on vacation but somehow managed to catch a cold (second one this Fall) yuck
but I think at some point I will be able to breathe out the old nose again..... At least I hope. Needless to say, I got a lot of reading done instead of writing, which was still great. Now a few SUPER COOL announcements! First, I received a 5 star review from Heather at Nightlyreading. She also posted a really great (if I do say so myself) interview we did together. She is also running a GIVEAWAY!!! Yeah!! Another chance to win a copy! I am trying to make lots of chances guys!! Below is her link:

Winner of the Mid Winters Eve Blog!
I'd love to hear how your Christmas Holidays went this year!! Was Santa good to you all? Any crazy relative stories? Would love to hear how you all celebrated!
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! Ours was really relaxing! It's kind of funny, but in my previous post I mentioned how it would be so great because we would have power this Christmas and we did! However, we had a huge windstorm with 50 mph winds and our lights were flickering all day!! Thousands went without! I totally jinxed it! There wasn't a storm in sight that I heard about until it blew in! But thankfully, our power stayed on and everyone else's came back in a few hours...
We had a delicious glazed ham on Christmas Eve and prime rib on Christmas! So yummie!! I can't believe how quickly Christmas came and went! Maybe I should put everything up after Halloween to make it go longer? Haha!
Happy New Year everybody and I'd love to hear about your holidays! Wishing you all the best!!

Mid-Winters Eve Blog Hop!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Last little thoughts...
All of our presents are wrapped and under the tree waiting to be opened. I have to admit, I am a girl who totally loves waking up on Christmas morning and watching my family open their presents and getting to open mine! It so much fun!!! We always have sticky buns and cinnamon rolls baking away making the house smell delish!
I am also so thankful because a couple years ago we actually had to celebrate Christmas Day in the dark. There was a really bad storm and we were without power for days. We had a small generator and my husband hooked up a couple of lights and a TV/DVD player so that National Lampoons Christmas Vacation could play over and over again to bring more of the holiday spirit in. We were a bit cold and I had to cook our prime rib on the stove, but even with that - it was wonderful to be celebrating Christmas with everyone. And at least it was a White Christmas!
This year, in typical Seattle fashion, it is pouring down rain and should be raining all the way through Christmas so we should have power. I am a little scarred from that incident, I guess!

I am wishing you all a wonderful rest of the holiday season! Give your loved ones an extra squeeze and sneak an extra helping of your favorite dish! It's the holidays after all!!!
