Made-It Monday: Violin Vegan Cake
Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!
Another cake for another party, though for an adult this time

Aurealis, Updates, and New Releases
I think I’ve mentioned this in a cagey manner before now, but it’s official and announceable and exciting: I have an article in the current issue of Aurealis! Yes, THAT Aurealis, of the Aurealis Awards, Australia’s answer to the Nebula and Hugos. Like, whoa.
The article is about climate and worldbuilding (a la How To Create Cultures, of course), and you can find it in issue #117 for only $2.99US. Woo hoo!
Secondly, the final print files for How Not To Acquire A Castle have been approved, an...

This. This is me. THE STRUGGLE IS REAL.
Spoiler, I went for, “Hi, this is Amy, please leave your name and number so I can call you back.” >.<

I clicked lethargically on this video last weekend, planning to maybe watch the first one or three. Plot twist: I watched the whole thing, because these rock formations are freaking gorgeous, you guys.
Check them out, and check out of life for a pleasant seven minutes on a Friday

The Spider Dance
Exceptionally talented ballerina dances the spider dance. A kid showed me this at school before Christmas. I’m equal parts in awe of the dancer’s abilities, and totally freaked out, and also it’s kind of hilarious.

It’s A Wrap? I Guess? Or Maybe A Burger. Either Way, It Was 2018!
It occurs to me that due to sketchy and sporadic internet access the last three weeks, I haven’t done a 2018 wrap post. I’m not sure anyone particularly *cares* about this, but hey! It’s an easy blog post to manage this week when I am fribbulatinglycombobulated about being back at work! *\o/*
So, last year.
Last year. Wow.
Last year was… *shakes head* I don’t actually think words can do my lived experience of last year justice. Writing progressed SO much faster than I was expecting it to,...
