Made-It Monday: Silk
Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

I LAVA YOUUUUUUU
‘Lava’, a short music video by Disney in the style of Moana. I was a little skeptical at first, because it kind of comes across as ‘guy grows old waiting for love until suddenly young girl inspired by his loneliness matures and is old enough to love him and then they have True Love’… BUT at the end the song specifically says that they want to grow old together, so I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt and assume that ‘extinction’ here is a metaphor for dying young, rather than natura...

Speaking of Inklets, How About A Subscription (Or Two)?
Soooooo for a while now Liana and I have been bouncing ideas back and forth about how to deal with the whole VAT/GST thing on international sales, since we sell off the Inkprint site and are so not set up to do the whole sending-tax-to-other-national-governments, like whoa.
Today, I realised a solution.
I mean, there are things like PayHip and Book Funnel and what not, which are great and deal with the tax for you – but afaik they’re not really set up to deal with digital AND print AND sign...

INKLETS ARE HERE!!!!
I wish the post titles weren’t in all-caps by default so y’all could see how excited I am. BUT! YOU STILL CAN!! Because I was so excited I made a video :3
If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that starting in January, Inkprint Press is staring up Inklets, a series of short stories that will release twice a month, on the 1st and 15th of every month, for at least the next three years. (We already have 90 titles in production, like, WHOA.)
Each Inklet contains a short story (from 500 to...

Inkprint Press Market Stalls
Ran a market stall for Inkprint at some local school Christmas markets the last two nights, from 6-10pm. Additionally, after the first night (Sunday), I had massive insomnia (food related, blech) and got about 2 hours sleep. I am wiped.
So anyway, here’s a picture of the stall

7/7/7 Meme (Thanks, V & A)
I was digging through the archives again earlier this week and came across this old meme. You have to turn to page 7 of your current work in progress (WIP), count down seven sentences, and then post the next seven sentences.
It’s the last week of classes in the Australian school year (at least at my school, some schools have another two weeks, which, death, destruction, agony) and this is about the level of brain I have left. So: woohoo! Meme time!
…As I type this, I’m sitting in the school l...

Did Dumbledore Ever Teach Defence Against The Dark Arts?
Since 1) I’m getting a lot of hits for this at the moment (presumably because of my Crimes of RowlingGrindelwald movie review) and 2) I had to google the answer myself upon exiting the cinema, because the dang movie made me question things I thought I knew about the HP universe, let me lay the answer out right now and now, definitively.
As far as is canon in the HP books 1 – 7, no, Dumbledore didn’t ever teach Defence Against the Dark Arts. It’s specifically noted (I forget in which book, I u...
