Made-It Monday: WORDS.

Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

It’s been a long time since I made words creatively, so to celeb...

There’s No Such Thing As ‘Real’ English (Repost)

Reposting this because: topical. My friend’s daughter was told in class last week that she would never be successful because she didn’t speak ‘proper’ English. I got a story rejection recently with personal feedback (which is so nice to have!) that mentioned that the story was a strange combination of British and American English.

Spoiler: It’s not. It’s written in Australian English.

So here’s this repost, in celebration of all the different ways of speaking that we have, that are all equa...

On The Theme Of Random Biology…

…You know that cute, puppy-dog eyes thing that dogs do to get love and attention? Yeah. Apparently that’s a thing that dogs specifically evolved to do, since humans favoured dogs who could do that. They literally have muscles in their faces that wolves lack which enable them to pull that cool I’M A PUPPY LOVE ME face.

Dogs carry a muscle near the eye that wolves lack.

It Isn’t Just Mice

On the theme of random animals who sing unexpectedly, apparently fish also sing. You can click through here to hear it! This recording has a bunch of different fish singing together, somewhat like frogs do, and–like other animals–apparently fish tend to sing more at dawn and dusk too!

So random. So cool.

B-)

Awesome Disney Villains Medley

For your viewing pleasure this week, this fantastic Disney villains medley YouTube recommended to me earlier this week. I dream of one day having time in my life to muck around making things like this. (Not that I can sing this well, heck no, but I have a few parody ones in mind I’d like to actually film one day. We shall see what the future holds, I guess!)

What cool things have you found on the web this week? And if you had unlimited time and resources, what’s the #1 thing you wish you co...

Everything On Hold

Work is busy. Life is busy. Things are in the works but not yet public. Everything’s changing, and writing is just Not A Thing – which makes me sad, but there are still Plans, and as I said, things are in the works, just… not here yet. Thanks for being patient while I scrape my sanity back together again

(PS Blogging isn’t on hold, though it may remain sketchy and sporadic for the next couple of months. Hang in there. I’ll brb.

Dancers Really Are Superhuman

Saw this on FB a couple of weeks ago when my sister tagged me, and it’s glorious. Love love love it. It needs to be a sequence in a dance-film enemies-to-lovers spy-thriller something. *hearty eyes*

What fabulous things have you found on the net this week that need to be stories (books/movies/tv shows/whatever)?
