Made-It Monday: Illustration For Reaper
Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

Random Garden Updates – Maybe A Regular Feature?
So, the Spousal One and I would really, really like to one day have a small hobby farm. This is a Thing. It nearly actually became a Thing back in 2017, when we were the underbidders on a gorgeous hill’s worth of land, but alack.
We keep talking about this dream, though, and how, once we get some land, we want to chronicle its progress. In various conversations on the weekend, blah blah, context, details, I decided I’m just going to start doing garden updates here-and-now, with the hope and ...

Explaining The Pandemic To My Past Self
I’ve finished formatting the collection of short stories that will come out in early April next year (and have ordered the proof copy, whee!). These are the stories that I wrote THIS year in April as part of my ten-stories-in-twenty-days challenge (spoiler, I wrote six stories in fourteen days) and, as you can imagine since I wrote them in April, there are some not-so-subtle references there to the pandemic.
I had to write an introduction to the book to contextualise it, because wow are the ...

Currently Watching
I’ve seen glimpses before of the series Back In Time For Dinner, but after a conversation with my sister this week, I’m finally sitting down to actually watch the series. I’m watching the Australian version and I can’t link to the episodes for the internationals among you, but if you live in Australia, the whole series is up free on iView at the moment.
Today’s episode was the 1950s; this is the closest I can find for you on YouTube

Tea-licious!
So one of the, uh, side effects of my son having been at horse riding (day) camp last week was that I spent four days driving back and forth past the little touristy shopping area in the suburb near us. Not only is it a great strip for Pokemon GO, if that’s your thing,* it also has one of the two best places for tea in my city. On Wednesday, on the way home from collecting son from horse riding, I caved and stopped by.
Really, all I was supposed to buy was some more lavender tea** and liquor...
