Made-It Monday: The Next Cake

Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

And lo, behold, the second cake…

This one’s the same recipe ...

Kickstarter Fully Funded + Bonus Goodies

Huzzah, the Kickstarter has fully funded and hit the first stretch goal, which means that the Fan Kit Minis will now have FIVE pretty, shiny goodies in them along with the author letter and the signed book. Whee!

I’ve just finished packing the Fan Kit Minis for Liana Brooks’ All I Want For Christmas Is A Reaper, and it is SO. MUCH. FUN. I love gifts, both the giving and receiving thereof, and packing Fan Kits just feels like packing pretty, shiny gifts for everyone

A Garden Update (With Lots Of Photos)

So, after that post the other week, I ended up going out on the weekend and buying some plants (of course). They sat around in their pots for a week, then the following weekend we planted them, and this is the results! I’ll update next week with more recent pics

Happy Release Day! (It All Changes Now)

Huzzah, my flash fiction collection It All Changes Now is released upon the world! Pick it up in ebook or in paperback and enjoy sixteen quick reads. The stories range from just 470 words through to a little over 1800 words, and are mostly contemporary (i.e. set in the modern world) fantasy, with a smattering of science fiction.

I had great fun pulling this anthology together, and, as a bonus ‘reader cookie’ for you, I’ll just note that there’s a reason the first story in the collection is f...

NEW BOOKS! And A Kickstarter To Celebrate

Super excited: the next Inkprint Press Kickstarter is live! It’s to celebrate the impending release of Rush Job, a sci fi heist novella that comes out in February. I’m running the Kickstarter super early because not only does it help defray production costs, but I feel like we all need something cheery to celebrate the end of this year. I’ve timed the campaign so that digital rewards will go out on or just before Christmas Eve as a nice end-of-year reading treat, and if you back the campaign eve...

Curses With Benefits (Free Short Story)

IDK, I’m loading this post Thursday night wondering if we might need a distraction tomorrow. Either way, here’s a free short story for you to enjoy in this rather tumultuous week

CURSES WITH BENEFITS

Streetlights filtered in past the edges of the master bedroom’s blinds, casting silvered bands up the wardrobe door in the dark. The air carried humidity from the shower, and the faint scent of mint soap lingered in the air. Harry lay drowsy and warm beneath the heavy covers on the bed, compl...

My 20th Book, It All Changes Now, Is Live For Preorder!

I’m still deciding whether or not I’m going to run a Kickstarter for this in late November; I’m not sure whether trying to do that in the current political climate in the US is sensible or not. It IS my 20th book, though, so it would be kind of cool to mark that with some release shenanigans of some kind…

Anyway, I thought I’d leave a quick note here regardless and let you know that It All Changes Now is officially live for preorder. You can grab a copy directly from me at Inkprint Press, or...

But For Snow: Meet Mercury’s Baby Sister As A Kid

Inklets are a collection of unrelated short science fiction and fantasy stories published by Inkprint Press on the 1st and the 15th of every month. See the whole collection here.

This fortnight’s Inklet is But For Snow, a short story set in the Kaditeos world about Mercury’s baby sister, Tundra. This is one of my earlier stories, but I still appreciate it for the insight it gave me into Tundra’s headspace
