Talk Dirty to Me

I love dirty talk. It's in all my stories. There is something unbelievably visceral and erotic in having a man tell you exactly what he plans to do to you. Now, in real life, this has happened to me almost never, but the very, very rare times it did it was totally hot. The resulting orgasm that much more intense. But then, I'm deeply in love with words and their ability to spark emotional and even physical reactions. Think about it there is a profound difference between a man saying...

A Request of My Male Readers…

A lovely reader of my blog, IslandWoman221, posted the following comment (I added the bolding) on Women and Sucking Dick. I am just as curious as she, so I decided to give it some prime time space. I'd love very much to hear from my male readers. Please? Pretty, pretty please?

"I'm kinda replying to Cruel's comments as well with this along with sharing a thought I had about the post regarding anal combined with Gillian's past comment about women's rape fantasies being more about "coercion"...

The Perfect Goodbye

Grade A Work

If you've been following along with me, you may remember that I've embarked on my quest for validation as a writer, um, sorry did I actually say that … *clears throat* I mean higher learning and growth in my craft and have completed my first course in pursuit of my MFA in Creative Writing. My first course, Textual Strategies (admit it, you thought "sexual" strategies just like I did), just wrapped and I got my final grade on my creative piece … an A! *does a little happy dance*

Any...

One Bite was Not Enough

Due to the requests I got for more, I'm posting another excerpt from Awakening … this is much further in the book and is from Evan's POV. Let's just say, it's a turning point, if you will ;-)

"I feel safe here," she waved a hand around to encompass the bookstore. "You make me feel safe. I don't believe you would hurt me." Claire flushed such a sweet shade of pink as she spoke, her hazel gaze roaming the store as she looked everywhere but at him.

Safe. She thought she was safe with him. That he...

A Quote for All Occasions

Pen & Ink

I love words. I love language and the twists and turns of emotion that can be triggered with just the right combination of words. I especially love those little nuggets of thought that just capture a moment or a concept so perfectly. In other words, I love quotes. If you've read The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, then you know about "Mavens." If you haven't read this book, you should along with Blink his other book about understanding how we make...

It's a New Day, It's a New Dawn For Me

Okay, so here's the deal. I landed a ghostwriting gig about a month ago and my deadline is January 2. I am spending every free moment writing the book which leaves less time for my blog. Until I hand off this book, Monday's will most likely be reserved for Sunday Stealing.

Sunday Stealing: The Community Meme

1. As a blogger, what do you draw inspirations from for your posts?

For the most part, all of my posts are just me trying to answer questions or think through concepts that occur to me...

Women and Sucking Dick

As I'm sure you've all figured out by now, I'm an 80s child. I grew up in that era of Kango hats, parachute pants, mile high bangs and teen angst movies. One of which had the single most educational scene for fellatio on tap at the time, Fast Times at Ridgemont High. This movie came out in 1982, so I was nine at the time. My girlfriends and I watched this movie in awe at the notion that anyone would ever, under any circumstances take a guy's dick in their mouth. Ewww, gross, totally grody.

Fiv...

Women and Anal Sex

More and more women are having anal sex. Study after study is proving that women enjoy this act. Marie Claire actually has a great article about this topic with an unusual perspective. I personally believe the studies are probably under reported because there is still a huge stigma attached to anal sex for women of my generation. Younger girls, however, are showing much less reticence to the act. But, at least for me, vaginal sex was still very much a taboo thing growing up, so anal sex's...

Shameless Bragging!

Louisiana Whispers by Gillian Colbert

My first full-length novel, Louisiana Whispers, made the Christmas Romance Books Worth Buying List at Bookstove!

"Finally, on Paranormal Romance again is Louisiana Whispers, a Personalised Romance Novel from Gillian Colbert. Ghost Stories are always a winner if written well. They can offer thrills and chills entwined in a good story.

However, not many mix erotic romance with the genre as well as this novel. Here, a couple become involved in helping an...
