It had been a couple of months since I’d seen him. When the door was closed he took me in his arms and kissed me hungrily. He pressed his body into mine as he pulled me tighter to him. I could feel the glow spread through me. He could still generate that so quickly. Why had I called? Why was I torturing myself?--Lisa Loomis (Casanova Cowboy)

Play something
He closed his text book and turned the desk chair around and reached for his guitar. “Don’t just pick. Play something for me,” I asked. He started with the Eagles I Can’t Tell You Why. “Look at us baby up all night tearing our love apart,” he sang “aren’t we the same two people who live through years in the dark?”--Lisa Loomis (Boy in a Band)

This is not a Harlequin western romance. It is a contemporary coming of age romance novel that can be edgy and raw.
Looking for predictable, not your book.

Confuse me
He had numerous opportunities to kiss me, or more, but he never took them. He continued to hold my hand or have me recline against him, just tender. Again it confused me, although it did not surprise me.--Lisa Loomis (Boy in a Band)

Just because
“Just because you love someone doesn’t always make it right, make it work. It was a long process of discovery to understand he was giving what he could, but it wasn’t, isn’t, enough for me."...........Lisa Loomis (Casanova Cowboy)

For awhile
“He’s an ass. If you were my girlfriend, I wouldn’t treat you that way,” Randy said.I’d heard that line before from guys, “I would treat you better”. Sure you would, for awhile.--Lisa Loomis (Casanova Cowboy)

Powell
I'm back. We had a good time in Lake Powell, Dennis and I and eight young adults, some very interesting conversations. I have been trying to get internet as we have no land line at the new place, and we were told satellite couldn't work either. Seems Verizon hot spot has saved us--the last few days have been a series of frustration. Today am feeling like I might actaully be up and running and able to get back to the things I need to but mostly want to.........like writing.

Internet
You never know how much you use it till you can't get----sorry I've been out and down. Verizon seems to have come to the rescue with their hot spot.........at least I hope.

Heart pain
“I was serious. I saw what he did to you last summer. Miss ‘I can’t get hurt by Mathew’, got her heart ripped out of her chest more than once."--Lisa Loomis (Boy in a Band)
