Barb’s Italian Summer #16: Beautiful And Wordless Rome

When you climb the Spanish Steps, it’s time to admire the beauty

of Piazza di Spagna at your feet and feel like the queen of Rome.

The top of the Steps is a little Roman Montmartre

with artists selling their work.

Have your portrait painted or buy a picture,

and support your local painter! :)

(Travel) Writer’s Journal: How Committed Are You When The Road Gets Bumpy?

My writing career is the most delicious thing in the world. And it’s delicious even if the ride gets bumpy. Actually, it’s the first career in my life where I don’t mind those bumps in the road and circumstances that may otherwise be called “failures” or “disappointments”. Maybe because it’s the only career where I feel completely fulfilled, authentic and natural: the first “career” that’s not a job but a life path.

I’ve learned to welcome challenges because they help us become the person we’r...

Chique Secrets Of Milan: The First And Only Yoga And Meditation Store In Italy

In my twenties, I looked at those who practiced yoga and meditation with disbelief. I was totally certain that it was nothing for me. I found the slow pace of yoga and the stillness of meditation irritating, to say the least. But, never say never: life tends to put you on paths that you never thought you’d explore, but once you do, you know that this path is the perfect one for you.

Today, I’ve been on a personal spiritual quest for many years, and yoga and meditation have become an essential...

♥ When you’re given a dream, you’re also given the tools to make your dream come true.

♥ If not now, when?

♥ If it’s meant to be, it’s up to me. If it’s up to me, I’m free.

♥ I’m going to make it, no matter how hard it is, or how much time it takes.

♥ You must do the things you think you cannot do. (Eleanor Roosevelt)

♥ Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed...

(Travel) Writer’s Diary: Do You Know Your “Why”?

When you finally discover your Inner Compass and bravely face the root of your Ecstatic Joy, you may feel like “this is it”, and everything’s going to be smooth and fun. However, you will soon find out that that’s where the battle begins. And it’s not any old battle: it’s the battle for your soul.

You see, knowing and dreaming is one thing. But when it comes to taking action, the power of our doubts and fears can be overwhelming. So many people have fabulous dreams and great ideas (which are t...

Italian Regions From North To South: Beautiful Veneto

Veneto is situated in the north of Italy on the border with Austria, and its southern coast is washed by the Adriatic Sea. Veneto was named in 18th century after an ancient tribe that used to reside in the region.

Veneto is mainly a lowland area; cisalpine mountains are situated in the north and cover about 30% of the region.

The climate is varied, influenced by altitude and distance from the sea. In the mountains, winters are harsh and summers are cool. On the Adriatic Coast and at Lago di Gar...
