7 Wild And Free Questions: Inspiring Creativity Interview With Author Chelsea Haller

Chelsea

1. Chelsea, welcome to Wild And Free Creativity. Who are you?

Who am I? That can be a tricky question. I am many things, but when it comes to my creative side this is what I normally say. I watch people and make a story of what I see. Sometimes it develops into something more while other times it is a brief exercise to keep my creativity going. I love to read and write and this has also gained me quite a few friends who wish for my opinion on their writing or art. While I would not consider my...

Denysé

1. Who are you?

I am an author of many kinds of stories, and have been for most of my life. In just about everything I create there is a touch of romance. Relationships, and how people relate to each other have been fascinating to me since I was a child. For me, creating with words is like life itself in that it’s a pro...

7 Wild And Free Questions: Inspiring Creativity Interview With Multi-Passionate Artist Georgia Reed

Georgia1. Welcome, Georgia! Who are you?

I am an actress, dancer and singer living between Los Angeles and New York. Currently, my focus is a passion project called “Becoming Giselle” inspired by a film I acted in last year (“Awaking” by Katerina Nova & Zoya Skya) as a ballerina blinded in an accident, who continues to dance despite her injury. This led me to raise funds and interest via IndieGoGo, & I am now training with Kenneth Ludden in NY to perform my dream role, Giselle, in 2015. I am also si...

Literary Life Taken Literally (And A Writing Lesson From Snoopy)

Snoopy Writing

I was born with a pen in my hand and an imagination that ran too wild too often. I learned to read and write at the age of four, and I’ve never stopped. As I first succumbed to the world of the written word, I was hooked forever. And as I grew, my passion grew with me.

My parents were bookworms, my Grandpa was a writer, our family’s collection of books went into thousands, and books were my favorite gifts (although I loved Barbie dolls too). As a pre-school kid, my reading taste varied, and I...

Creative Ease And The Importance Of Visual Inspiration For Writers

Visual

I’m a dreamer. People who know me well would tell you that I’m constantly weaving my own web of dreams, desires and intentions. They change quite often, usually when I find yet another beautiful thing or experience to add to my book of dreams. I also have the ability to turn those little and big dreams of mine into a miraculous reality, which is something that maybe differentiates me from other dreamers who just talk about their dreams but never gather the courage to start walking toward them...

Can YOU Be A Full-Time Writer?

Words

Can you really make a living doing what you feel called to do? Can you create nurturing prosperity and abundance on your terms, by sharing your ideas and stories with the world? Or do you think it’s a beautiful dream, but only a dream, after all?

The good news is that you absolutely can be a full-time writer. The bad news is that there’s one very important condition:

You can be a full-time artist if you believe you can.

I’m not just playing with words here, I know that this is how it works. Many...

Do We Have To Call Work “Work”? How To Turn Any Activity Into A Delicious Creative Outlet

Creativity Takes CourageRecently I have talked to several amazing artists and I’ve realized a very interesting thing: We tend to judge our creative outlets. We look at the things we do, and we say: “This is creative. This is a higher form of art. This is more (or less) valuable. This is a chore. This is work. This is my job. This is my passion. This is what I do for money. This is what excites me. This is what I want. This is what I don’t want. This is what frustrates me.”

Why do we do that? Well, because even when e...

Writer’s Easter In Italy, The Spirit Of Creative Gratitude And A Spring Gift For You

La Pasquetta

Happy Easter! I’m spending this Easter weekend with my Italian family in Pisa. Easter in Italy, just like every major holiday, means especially lots of great food. My Aunt got up early this morning to cook enough food for a battalion of hungry soldiers. And she tells me ten times a day: “Ma tu non mangi!” Or: “Mangi poco!” (You don’t eat! You eat little!)

La Pasqua (Easter) is a much less family holiday than you might think. Many people use the holiday for a city break, and most people eat out...
