Daytona Arena Blood Lust
So, here we are again boys and girls celebrating Daytona 500 day. You know that amazing day where all these grown men get into perfectly good, expensive cars, knowing full well, I might add, that they might get smashed to smithereens. Yep, they know it, they have spent the money and will do it anyway.
Talking to a friend last might, I suggested that it was amazing that throngs watch cars going around in circles the same direction for hours. That crazy woman screamed, "But sometimes ...

Living Happily Socks Bitchy Gravity
After taking my shower, I stepped out of the tub and stood before my mirror. As I looked, suddenly my butt fell down. Now, what are the odds of being before a mirror when gravity takes hold and yanks you down?
But there you have it. My hands flew behind me to keep it from sliding any further down to no avail. Following that momentous occasion, my belly followed suit and here I stood with a tire around my midriff lamenting my years of exercise.
So, in the end, after all the exercising and all...

Free To Be Creepy
Itchy, Bitchy, Crampy, Moody, Weepy, you get the idea. Which one are you?
At birth we are 90% body water. In adulthood it decreases to 70-75%. When we age we dry up like prunes and we are at an ever low of 50%.
Why am I sharing this with you? Because today is Perigean Spring Tides. I could go on and on and explain what that is but you will find that on Wikipedia.
My interest in this came from the fact that since our bodies are 75% water, then the effect of the moon is higher on us, than we...

Fighting "Our Way" To Hear God
If the attitude is My Way, then Speak Lord, is subject to the whim of your own ideas of what the day should hold. If in the night you hear what you need, but move on a different road, since Your Way seems better, then that word you received falls by the wayside, lost forever. Like the parable of the seeds where the seed falls on hard ground and never germinates, then gets eaten by birds, never to take hold.
Hearing in the heart is not a pounding or a banging on the doors. Hearing in the heart ...

Experience Food For Trust
"Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God."
— Corrie ten Boom
"I'm not upset that you lied to me, I'm upset that from now on I can't believe you."
— Friedrich Nietzsche
"One should never trust a woman who tells one her real age. A woman who would tell one that would tell one anything."
— Oscar Wilde
"To be trusted is a greater compliment than being loved."
— George MacDonald
"I took a deep breath. 'For you I've got something better than love.'
What's that?'
I…trust you.'
Why?'

Essential To Teach Children Manners
It is not that Important until it is.
Teaching our children manners is an old fashioned idea that seems to have fallen by the wayside. Too harsh? Maybe that is a little coarse. So, let's make it an easier pill to swallow. Our values have changed so much, that, what we discipline our children for and the manners we require of them, are less demanding than before.
Children will do whatever they please, that is normal. But, we do live in society, unless you do not. If you do, then you have to...

Baba Rumcake, I Want to Feel Good!
Dear Baba Rumcake,
Certain people make me feel good, but most make me paranoid that they actually dislike me and are laughing at me or something like that.
How come it is hard to find the ones that just make me feel good?
Paranoid in Peoria
Dear Paranoid,
No one but no one can make you either feel good or paranoid. The only one who will allow that, is you. No one will do it unless, your permission has been granted. The opportunity to get that far into your head lies only with you.
Assuming...
Lonely Condom Seeks Valentine
Is it any surprise that today is not only Valentine's Day but also National Condom Day? Not to me. I can see the correlation here. Honestly, can't you see it?
Here we are embarking on another V-day where expectations are high and demand is even higher. So, she is expecting a great dinner with flowers and chocolates. You may not be ready to give her that ring she wants but you sure want to get into her pants tonight, right?
After all, what is this all...

Take What You Want
Taking what you want anyway.
Is it true that we should always have what we want? Is it true that as individuals the idea of being without, is anathema? When did this thought come about? Where and when did this sour cold reality of our being come to be?
To answer that, one has to look into the history of our lives. Individually, that is. My well to do Father, God rest his soul, refused to buy me things on principle. He knew that he could buy the doll, the car or the dress but simply, did not.
The...
Raging Neighbor Bothers Me!
Dear Baba Rumcake,
A new neighbor moved into the apartment above me a couple months ago. A few times now I and other neighbors have been woken up to the sound of him screaming "f**k you!" repeatedly and banging on his walls and floor repeatedly for hours in the middle of the night. There is nobody else in the apartment with him as he freaks.
What can be done about this situation? I am sure the neighbor will go into a rage again and I have a 9-5 job I need to be awake for during the day. Any...
