Gene Pool Clean Up!

Happy Birthday Charles Darwin

I love Darwin. But, my take on it is always regarding the Darwin Awards. Survival of the Fittest, meaning mentally in this case, takes on a whole different meaning, when you think of it in those terms.

There is nothing you can do, to stop some idiot, from killing themselves, by being stupid; thus removing them from the gene pool. Woo hoo! So much the better for us all.

I watch people on the cliffs when the waves are high and strong, where they stand with their...

You are an Emotional Moron!

Dear Baba Rumcake,

Do most relationships start out very gradually, like you hang out once a week or less for a while until it gradually increases? Or is it usually a couple of times a week right away?

Anybody have any luck dealing with women?

I call her. She hangs up. I call again. She hangs up.

Why the frack do women play these games?

WndrngY in Warren

Dear Clueless,

You are an emotional moron. If she hangs up on you, dog, she is not interested in you. Period. She is not playing games. She is t...

10 Effective Parenting Techniques

10 Things to Practice to be an Effective Parent
Make sure your child responds when you

A child who ignores you, is a child heading for anarchy and rebellion. It is the least politeness to acknowledge someone, who address you. Make sure they respond, every time.

Teach your child self control.

When you tell your child that it is time to leave, it might be a fight to get them to go with you, immediately. Do not give ultimatums, do not give in to a few more minutes. You are bigger; pick them...

Are Losers Judging Me?

Dear Rumcake,

Sameness is my comfort zone and dare I not step out of my shell. God forbid if I explore new things.

I stress when driving and get lost. I hate going to new and unfamiliar places trying to find my way looking or coming across as klutzy or dumb so I won't take chances.

Do you feel awkward in new place trying to get your bearings, fearing that losers are judging you?

Seeking Solace in Saratoga

Dear Seeking Solace,

On the face of it you seem like a genuinely confused and sweet...

Lousy Books are Killing Trees!!

This week is National Green Week.

Now, I am not so much into the green thing when it comes to books. I may have books on Kindle but reading them on Kindle, well not so much.

Back to my point. So, if you are reading a book (and I will not mention said book) and you get to page 86 and you still did not get into the meat of it, then something is really screwy in this equation. Here is a waste of several pages that could have saved a tree.

Now, you try and stick to it since you are, after all, in t...

Love and Money Equals Happiness?

Dear Baba Rumcake,

Tell me, is it really wrong to like someone more when you find out they have money? Assuming you liked them already.

Wondering in Wichita

Dear Wondering,

I suppose being a gold digger and a social climber is not so bad. There should be no reason for remorse about being shallow and superficial.

You already like the bloke, so there's no harm in liking him more, for his dough, huh?
After all, money will bring with it comfort and future security. It makes a man seem more desirable ...

True Friends Are Not Blind

"A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you."

— Elbert Hubbard

Every one of us tries to keep a measure of their real self private. Honesty is the best policy and all. Yet, is it possible to be so candid about yourself that you keep nothing back? Maybe, but not likely.

Experience has shown me that opening up, creates a serious mistrust. As a teenager, I was painfully open about myself and my wayward ways. In response I got shunned and banned from many activities with...

Gay, Past Life; Are You Serious?

Dear Baba Rumcake,

I love my wife and children but occasionally, I like to be with men. Does that mean I was gay in a past life?

Tantalized from Cleveland

Dear Tantalized,

No, I would say, no. You were not gay, in a past life. You are gay, in this life.

Are you kidding, pal? I got it, that, you lived your life hiding behind the marriage certificate, bully for you. You have children too, very clever. I imagine, that you think that you are outsmarting everyone who loves you, by having such a...

10 "Off the Beaten Path" Movies

Here are 10 Movies that I find are "Off the Beaten Path".

These movies are not your everyday type of movies, they are special and received acclaim from the few who take the time to discover the beauty of a slow, rhythmic story. Love them.

A Month by the Lake

Vanessa Redgrave, Uma Thurman and Edward Fox in a charming movie of falling in love when not expecting it. A chance to remember that it is never too late. Beautiful scenery.

Being Julia

Set in the London of the 30s, an actress, Annette...

Okay, So You're Not Cool

Dear Baba Rumcake,

I just want to be cool. I mean really cool.

Like, just look f***ing cool, say cool s**t, have people think I'm cool, to be flat out cool.

Style, taste, detached cool vibe…

But I'm not. What should I do?

UnCool in Utah

Dear UnCool,

I am not sure what the definition of cool is in your world. Where you come from, do your loser people find you uncool also. Did it take you long to get to earth? Welcome!

If you mean by cool, like James Dean, oh, sorry you probably don't even know...
