GIJoe - Transformers Cross Over covers...
This was a recent double page cover I did for IDW's Transformers: Regeneration One #100 and GI Joe: A Real American Hero #200. I think these are retailer incentive covers and are pretty limited.
First I was just given a list of characters they wanted me to try and fit in. I did my best to try and squeeze them in. I labelled who all was in it for my editor Carlos. I was just told to switch out Destro for Cobra Commander on the right hand side.
I did that, but also decided I could squeeze in a few more characters. I got Star Scream in just behind Snake Eyes and Optimus on the left hand side. I also changed BumbleBee so he was protecting Flint, and put the Baroness in the lower half of the right hand side. I still wanted Destro in there, so I put him in a Flight Pod "Trouble Bubble" in the center of the cover. It probably ended up too dense, but for me it was more about who I could fit in.
GI JOE/ Transformers - 656
I'll post the inks and colors soon.

Baroness....
Here's another Baroness sketch done from a previous convention. It's taken awhile, but I generally have a good feel for how I like approaching a Baroness drawing. I get plenty of requests for her, and I have a few commissions of her still to do. If you're waiting, no worries, I will be getting to them! I know it's been quite a while since I posted, but it's simply due to my current workload being so packed. Lots of fun projects, but I'm realizing with a lot of the commercial artwork I'm doing, I can't show any of it publicly. So that keeps me from posting any of the related art or behind the scenes stuff.
I'll have to stick to strictly commissions, daily warm ups or comic related stuff that's already out on shelves.

AoA Sunfire colors
Some great colors over the Sunfire line art I did. This was done by someone on Deviant art, I have to double check and get the name so I can post a link to their page. So line art by me, colors by someone else, but it gives you a look at this character's final color scheme if you're not familiar with Sunfire from the Age of Apocalypse.

Snake Eyes jam...
Here is a sketch that was part of an 80's jam piece I worked on back at NYCC. Always fun to do. Someone else had drawn the layout for the figure, I think it was loosely based on the Snake Eyes pose from the cover to GI JOE #1 from IDW.
Snake Eyes - 653

X-Men Sunfire - AoA...
Here was a recent commission finished, smaller 9x12. It's of Sunfire from the Age of Apocalypse storyline from the X-Men comics in the 90's. I was always a huge fan of this story arc. It was very ambitious at the time and really something I hadn't seen before since I was still relatively new to comics then. I've always been a fan of this character design, it's very fluid and open. Fun commission to do, and anything X-Men related I jump at the chance to draw!

Jean Grey All New X-Men...
Another recent commission, trying to get all these done. Keeping busy with a handful of projects, as usual. Still doing GI JOE Battleground art, occasional toy package art (NERF, Spiderman, etc..) and I'm getting into full swing drawing Castle pages for Marvel based on the ABC TV show. I did the last arc of 5 issues last spring, and I'm doing the next arc now. This will just be a collected trade, so it wont be coming out monthly like the last arc was.
This story arc is written by Cullen Bunn, who I worked with on my Venom issue last year. Already shaping up to be a fun story, more action than the last story, which is always a plus for me.
For this commission sketch, I was super excited, one because I love all things X-Men. But also because the All New X-Men series has been a blast to read! This arc written by Brian Bendis and drawn by Stuart Immonen has been an instant favorite for me. So here's my version of Marvel Girl Jean Grey.

Black Canary...
I've got a few commissions finished I can post up, then I'll be posting up work I've done on the GI JOE Battleground game.
First up is a Black Canary piece I did for Jackie. One of my son's absolute favorite characters, and mine as well. As most people know, I'm not very interested in drawing cheesecake girly poses, I'd rather show what makes the character unique, and especially in women, what makes them strong or independent.
On the original I depicted her "Canary Cry" scream with pencil. It doesn't show up well in the scan, but I liked the effect.
Black Canary - 648
