You don't understand, Gail. I LOOOOOVE KING SHARK!!, I want to be QUEEN SHARK and I just want Human/Shark marriage to be legal so we can get married and have little shark babies running around and swimming and singing, "I'M A SHARK!,PINCH MY CHEEKS, I'M A
That’s just weird. You would still be a human, you wouldn’t be Queen Shark! Queen Shark is a SHARK!

Early ventriloquists and their dummies.
Why, no, nothing creepy about ventriloquists at ALL.

Superhero books, especially the Batman books, have all been taken over by horror writers and horror ideas these days. While sometimes they can go too far and get ridiculous (faceless Joker) I absolutely ADORED this week’s Batgirl. Gail Simone recreated the Ventriloquist using a combination of ideas from Saw and Ju-on. If you like dark superhero stuff, check out this book!
You know, that’s interesting, the Ju-On suggestion, that had never really occurred to me, but that cover does bear a similarity.
Huh.
Anyway, thanks!

Received the most wonderful birthday presents today. A huge package from Lynn (I was hunting for that Alex Ross figure for like.. EVER!!) and a beautiful bracelet with text parts from Dany’s chapters in A Song of Ice and Fire. My mind is blown!!
Happy happy birthday, Batgirl!
Please come to Glasgow? Pretty please? Glasgow Comic Con will be so empty without you *cries uncontrollably*
They have kindly invited me, trying to see if I can work it out!
Do you or anyone else at DC ever consult the DC wiki as a research tool? It comes in pretty handy as a data resource, but I can't help but think coordination at DC between writers would be much smoother with an internal wiki managed by the editors.
Not that I know of. I’m not sure I even knew there was such a thing.
We generally go to the source where possible, or an editor might look stuff up for us if necessary.
