Gail Simone asked for Movement fan art, so here it is.
This is inspired by the cover of Streetlight Manifesto’s debut album “Everything Goes Numb.” It’s a good album, and I highly recommend it, especially if you like 3rd wave ska.
I love this. I WISH I HAD THIS ALBUM!

THE MOVEMENT FANART
I drew Virtue from Gail Simone’s new DC series, The Movement. I haven’t read it yet but i do have it in my pull list at my LCS.
Can’t wait to read it, she was super fun to draw!
Ack. SO CUTE!

Gail Simone said she wanted Movement fanart and I’ve been meaning to draw Virtue and Tremor anyway.
Wow!
That is GORGEOUS!

Quick sketchy fan art of Virtue from Gail Simone’s The MOVEMENT.
Not sure what I think of the story yet, but don’t really know much about the characters - looking forward to finding out about them all in more detail :3 I like the designs though. Virtue’s outfit I’m fond of, because it’s obviously modified street clothes. Gives me costuming feels, I suppose.
I love this.
So cute!
Hey Gail, just some curiosity what´s the most inaproppiate question that someone ever done to you??
I get asked if I am gay quite often. I don’t know if it’s inappropriate, but it’s always a little odd to me that people ask that as if it is anyone’s business but those I choose to share such things with.
The thing that I think is really starting to get me down is being asked loaded questions about other writers and books all the time, people want me to be as angry about EVENT ____ or CHARACTER ACTION _____ as they are, and I think they want me to trash other people, when I usually haven’t even read the book in question.
I don’t like to trash things without context. I don’t like to rip writers for passing story choices without knowing what they are thinking. And I personally just am not made to focus on only negative stuff all day. So it gets a little wearying.
And of course, if I DON’T get as mad as they are, inevitably, there’s name calling and accusations of being a sell-out or whatever. It’s kind of douche move. There’s plenty that makes me angry in comics, I talk about it all the time. But I am less likely to rail on someone for a story I haven’t even read, and frankly, that isn’t going to change.
The Movement #1 was an incredibly refreshing return to a signature style absent from DC since your BOP and Secret Six. Babs is lovely, but n52 has desperately needed some Classic Gail since its inception and I'm glad to see you've returned. Two notes: I
I can’t believe how people are catching stuff I thought was very stealthy in this book. I planted some hints I thought were VERY SUBTLE and people picked up on most of them right away. But you are the only person so far to catch this one.
Yes, I will fess up, this was just for me, a sly reference to a past Catman scene. In fact, originally, Virtue’s line was identical to Catman’s, she originally said, “I am going to MARK you.” But that seemed a bit too inside.
Very freaking astute there, Gorblax. :)

Why is the location in the first page of The Movement given as "Coral City, Coral City"? Typo?
No, it’s a winking nod to the song, “New York, New York.”

You are no burden.
The Movement #1 spoilers!
Okay, this is just something I had to get out my of system, since when that sweetheart said that his parents called him “Burden,” my heart broke, and then I got pissed.
I’m not shipping them, since I rarely ever decide on a pairing unless it’s confirmed in the canon, usually just go with the flow of things, and I love all of the team too much, anyways. This is just VM talking some sense into the boy. He’s no burden, but damn it if he wasn’t given a heavy one to carry. And, no, I don’t mean his mental illness.
Since I only have the cover of the issue to go off for her design, I had to guess with some things, like where those straps around her shoulders go. So, chances are there are some inaccuracies here, but oh well.
I’ll probably end up drawing them all, over the next month.
>sniff<
That’s lovely. :)
