Dedication
Pain is weakness leaving the body… or something like that.
So my hand hurts because I just spent the last two hours drawing out a giant 2ftx3ft poster for Purgatory Peak, the setting for the Christian Cole novels. I started off with the lake, which sits in the middle of town. Then I drew the main roads and inserted the islands in the middle of the lake, which- er, never mind. But they're small islands.
Then I started drawing the houses in the neighborhoods, keeping track of how many houses and ...

Post Your Resolutions Here
For the next year, my resolutions will be simple. I will lose more weight (I say this every year, and it's always like a yo-yo), I will take some real vacation somewhere (I'm dreaming of Disney World) and I will continue my education (because not having any student loans is unAmerican apparently…).Here are some "real" goals for 2011:In 2011 I will write more than four books;In 2011 I will get a new agent;In 2011 I will assist more people in learning how to get into the publishing industry...

Interviews and Updates
Yes, I'm an evil individual who doesn't keep his word about getting short stories up on time. In my defense…. I got nothin'.
However, if you look at the top of the page you might notice a little new item. Hover over it and you'll see the intro to "The Absolute True Story of Santa Claus". I have that edited and am (mostly) happy with that. It's a little tidbit for those who are tired of waiting. Of course, I'm still working on the final product. But delays and interruptions are a-plenty this...

Doctor of Slackology
Yes, I am a lazy slacker. But I also don't want to give you a free short story that makes you go "This is the best he can do? Why would I buy his book then?".
My new goal for The Absolute True Story of Santa Claus is now Monday, December 20th. I've got one little bit to correct (Forgot that in 1908, not a lot of people in Germany had electricity… if any) and to fix some conversation pieces. I'm trying to make this bloody and hilarious. Maybe bloody hilarious? Not sure.
The reason I need it...

I Hate That Guy
Yeah, I know… The Absolute True Story of Santa Claus isn't up yet. I'm fixing the beginning, which had been bothering me for some reason and I only just put my finger on it. POV shift. Whoops.
In other news, Stargate:Universe was just cancelled by SyFy. I liked watching SGU but I wanted to kill just about every major character on the show. The only one who didn't bother me was Eli's character, and now that they gave him a girlfriend (I'm about 4 episodes behind the show, since it comes on on T...

Let It Snowmigod!! Argh!
I don't know who made it snow but I greatly appreciate it. I've been in a rut due to the vast chill that's been going on and, finally, I get some snow with that cold. Yay!
Editing The Absolute True Story of Santa Claus but needed a break. Santa knows if you've been naughty or nice, and Santa will be packing some heat for this Christmas due to the influx of monsters crawling out of the sewers. So while Edward may have the market cornered in the shiny vampire department, Santa will gladly turn h...

Star Bright and Alarms
Wow, that alarm clock is loud when you wake up early.
Finishing touches are coming along for The Absolute True Story of Santa Claus. It's got romance, adventure, blood, guts and a little bit of holiday cheer, which means it'll appeal to both the girls and boys. I'm rather proud of how it turned out. Hopefully I'll have the editing done by Thursday night so I can post it up here first thing in the morning. Then everyone can see just what really happened that fateful night a long time ago and...

Two Weeks Later
So it's been two weeks since Corruptor was released into the wild, and I've learned a few things:
A book sold on Amazon is a good sale;
An ebook sold on Amazon a bunch of times is better;
Wondering how your sales are going every five minutes is not conducive to completing anything else;
There are going to be people who don't like the book. Deal with it;
and finally…
I swear that with the next book, I will not care about sales until 90 days after it's been released.
I wonder if other authors h...

Free Friday! …and Tibet While You're At It.
Nothing new today, just researching and finishing the touches on a few minor projects. I'm working on a short story based on something out of feudal Japan (Nobunaga era) for a friend's potential anthology. But better still… This Friday I'm giving you something special for Christmas.
No, not that. Perverts. I swear, I can't take you people anywhere…
I'm giving you a sneak peak at something I've been working on for a month now, absolutely free. That's right. Free.
Why?
Why not? It's been brewing...
