Okay, But…

Best laid plans, blah blah blah…

Right now my family is in a hotel. I, the one with a car, am hanging out at the house with the cat (and using my computer, obviously) and going over to the hotel for all water needs.

Why? Because last Sunday morning we woke up to multiple rooms flooded, and the water has been off since.

Yay.

So yeah. I have a good excuse for not blogging this last week. As for the month before that…

Rude Noises On My Face

I make rude noises at my life. It doesn’t get to make rude noises at me. Usually.

Ten Years We’ve Been Rusting…Not

School starts tomorrow. My kids are coming back! Along with a bunch of new faces. That’s going to be interesting–we don’t normally have a lot of turnover in the student body, but we had a number of graduates last May, and also we didn’t replace students as we lost them to moves and such over most of last school year.

Peek-a-Boo!

I have to admit, I could have come back sooner, but it’s hard to come back yet again, after vanishing yet again. I don’t have any idea, as I write this elsewhere, when I even last posted. (I get here, and I see it was March. Meh. Could be worse.)

But whatever. It’s my blog, and I won’t let it go. Even if blogging is no longer fashionable. I’ve never much cared about what’s in, anyway.

Me Cook Good Vol II

I forgot to even say what I do with the spaghetti squash, and it is honest to Betsy SO EASY– just scrape it into a bowl, dump in a TB or two of pesto and same of parmesan, and maybe if you really want, some chicken nuggets you made in the air fryer.

It is SO GOOD. and it’s healthy!

Or, if you’re not feeling the pesto, chicken nuggets and Ye Olde Barbecue Sauce work great here too.

Maybe Just a Few Too Many Vegetables

Look, it was a miscommunication, okay? The email from Value Veggies said they had eggplant for the early birds, “just ask!” So when I arrived, I asked if they still had eggplant. The lady said, “yes! How many?”

“Two, please!” And that’s how I accidentally got two big boxes of vegetables (and two eggplant!)

On bringing them into the house, I may have gotten a little overwhelmed.

Back Again

I’m still here! I’m not letting this go that easy. Not sure how many times/ways I can say I’m having a rough time lately. I want to bite the people I love, that I live with. I want to bite other people too, but I also want to stay far far away from everyone.
