I did it! Friends, I finished my book! I turned it in (late) Sunday night!

Y’all. I knew I could do it, but I didn’t know if I’d ever be done doing it. You know? I was writing, I was moving forward, but the end just kept getting farther and farther away from me.

It’s still not DONE done–the ending is not right. Though it’s very close! The scene happens in the right place story-wise and setting-wise, with the right people…it’s just not quite THERE yet and it’s bugging me. I’ll probably have...

I Started a Post…

I did! I started a post on June 10th. I wrote it, thought “Okay, I need to go find a couple pictures for this, then I’ll put it up,” and then I never came back to it. I wrote it in 750words and that tab is still open.

Color-Coded for Maximum Confusion!

Actually the goal is not confusion! I like my flight manual colorful, is all. And it’s not really color-coded, just…colorful.

Monday, Monday, So Good to Me…

I’m actually prepared for this week. Well, as prepared as I can be, seeing it’s the last week of school. I’ve got smoothies in the freezer, ready for a slight defrosting and dumping into a bowl to throw granola and some berries on top. Mayday Mayday Mayday!

Okay, it’s not so desperate as all that. It’s May, though, and that means BUSY at a school, let me tell you. So, once again, I’m coming home with very little left, trying to edit while I recover, and then dragging my backside back to work.

I’m totally blaming that for the fact that I haven’t blogged in a…bit.

That, and the fact that I’m just dragging in general the last month or so. The brain gremlins have been on the move, and it takes a lot to fight them off.

Working the Plan, Planning the Work

So after writing most of a blog post about how using my flight manual is changing my life, I sort of forgot about the post for a week—well, mostly I just kept putting off rounding it up and trying to make it more coherent. After the Weekend (Alas)

I don’t know why anyone ever thought a two-day weekend was enough. It clearly needs to be three days. One for recovery, one for errands and cleanup, one for relaxing. (I think four days would be even better, but let’s not be greedy. Yet.)
