October 10, 2021: Did You Miss A Kickstarter Game? Check The Game Steward!

One issue with Kickstarter campaigns comes down to missing out on a cool game. Many times, there have been campaigns that I only encountered months after they closed, leaving me to search eBay and other online marketplaces for a chance at Kickstarter exclusives and limited editions.

Warehouse 23 News: We Found More Battlefields!

Moving boxes and pallets one day, the team unearthed a stash of Battlefields we thought were gone forever! Battlefields contains two giant double-sided maps, each one 28.5" by 33". If you have the Ogre Designer's Edition , these link to the four green maps in that set. If you have Ogre Sixth Editio n, they give you a giant new gameboard with multiple types of terrain.

October 8, 2021: Tossing Game Boxes?!

Like most of you, I have a healthy collection of board games. That said, there's only so much shelf space. And closet space. And garage and attic space. So in the name of  'Spring Cleaning,' I've been doing what I can to make room. Last year I went through and painstakingly figured out which games I didn't need in my collection anymore. Games I just didn't like, games I never got around to playing, and games I somehow had more than one copy of went to friends or to stores that buy/take used things. That was hard enough. This year, I'm afraid that more sacrilege was necessary. It was time to combine game boxes. Inserts and dividers came out, neatly bagged and labeled expansions went in. Accessories like third-party custom-designed inserts and storage solutions like our Monster Boxes really help save space. Removing inserts is bad enough, but then you have to throw away the boxes. The horror. Alternatively, you could cut off the front of the box and decorate the walls of your game room! Get creative! Tell us in the forums what spring cleaning means for your collection!

October 3, 2021: August 2021 Top Sellers

We knew there was a demand for the reprints of Munchkin Kittens and Munchkin Puppies , but we had no idea there was so much demand! Not only did both reprints make it into our top ten sellers for August, but both sold so fast that we've already placed reprint orders with the factory. The next round of  Munchkin Kittens and Munchkin Puppies reprints aren't expected in the warehouse until 2022, so there's a very good chance that both of them will be out of stock before the holidays.

The other surprise entry into our August top sellers wasn't exactly a surprise; Deluxe Dice Bag: Festive Owls is the latest release in our line of drawstring, satin-lined dice bags, and the line keeps performing so very well that we have two completely new bags and two reprints (with changes) at the factory for release in 2022. October 1, 2021: New Suggested Retail Prices Effective January 1, 2022

Effective January 1, 2022, Steve Jackson Games will raise the MSRP of several of our titles, including the best-selling Munchkin (SJG1408) and Munchkin Deluxe (SJG1483) boxed games. These price increases are necessary as we – and other game publishers worldwide - face ever-increasing overhead, manufacturing, and shipping costs.

In many instances, we will make the price changes on January 1, 2022. Munchkin boxed games, the Zombie Dice series, and our classic Illuminati (which has maintained a $34.95 MSRP since 1998) are all immediately affected on the first of the new year. Other titles will hold their current MSRP until their next printing.

An important note: many of the Munchkin tuckbox expansions will remain at their current MSRP for now. These items, significantly smaller than the boxed games, are not as seriously affected by the cost increases we've seen over the last few years.
