November 19, 2021: Become A Car Wars Sixth Edition Fan At BoardGameGeek Today!

As Car Wars Sixth Edition shipping continues, and we see the unofficial Facebook group grow with every passing day, we would like to also encourage all of you to click the "fan" button at BoardGameGeek and show your support for the Car Wars Sixth Edition game. We're excited to watch as so many games hit the table, and the Car Wars Sixth Edition forums at BoardGameGeek keep getting busier and busier as players share their experiences, ask questions, and post their own reviews of the game.

While you're there, don't forget to also subscribe to the game's BoardGameGeek page so that you'll receive notices of new content.

Both the "fan" and "subscribe" buttons are in the dark section at the top of the BoardGameGeek page, directly to the right of the green "buy a copy" and blue "add to collection" buttons. 

We have more in the works for Car Wars Sixth Edition , and subscribing to the game's BoardGameGeek page is another way to receive news of the latest releases for this new edition of the classic game of automotive combat.

November 18, 2021: Steve's Panel From Steam Digital Tabletop Fest

Steam recently ran its Digital Tabletop Fest celebrating online tabletop gaming, and Steve took part in the "Narrative in Wargaming" panel. Featuring panel members from Auroch, publishers of the digital Ogre game (which just got some upgrades; check it out on Steam) and others, the panel discusses how story impacts wargames. Ogre may be a giant terror tank versus an entire army, but why? You can check out that video on YouTube now, and be sure to try out Ogre on Steam as well!

November 15, 2021: The Car Wars Double Drum Arena Playmat Indiegogo Campaign Ends Today

Our first giant 4' x 6' playmat for Car Wars Sixth Edition , the Double Drum arena, is now funding on Indiegogo and today is your last chance to join in the campaign! As of this moment, the project is at 90% of its goal and needs roughly 37 more backers at the basic perk level to meet the goal. 

This giant playmat can be used in your Car Wars Sixth Edition campaigns however you wish, including to run two simultaneous four-player games and then, when half of the eight total players are wiped out, open the walls between the drums to merge the four surviving cars into a single game!

If you want to get a better idea of the playmat's size relative to the miniatures, please check out the gameplay video that was recorded during our FnordCon online event earlier this month.

Check out the Indiegogo project and please join us today! The new playmat is an experiment of sorts, and we're sure to tackle more giant arena playmats if there's enough demand.

November 14, 2021: Metal Miniatures Clearout Sale On Warehouse 23

With the advent of our plastic Ogre Miniatures sets and the announcement of the upcoming STL project for The Fantasy Trip miniatures, it's time we finally say goodbye to the remainder of our metal miniature stock in the warehouse. With that, our Ogre and The Fantasy Trip miniatures are currently discounted on Warehouse 23 until December 1. After that, if they don't sell out, they will be melted down. You are, quite literally, saving these miniatures from their doom! Nothing against our classic minis, of course, we've loved them for years, but it's time to make some space and we want to try to get them to good homes instead of the furnace.

November 13, 2021: Painted Car Wars Sixth Edition Miniatures On Facebook

We've already mentioned the Car Wars Sixth Edition Facebook group, and now we're taking time to share a peek at some of the painted miniatures that have been posted to that very same group. With over 30 different miniatures available thanks to the support of Kickstarter backers, there are a lot of choices to make when you sit down with the new Car Wars Sixth Edition game and answer the question: Which miniature will I paint first? Fortunately, there is no right answer, and these quick snapshots from the Facebook group should help give you some ideas regarding designs and color schemes when you sit down to paint your first car or two.

Once you've painted a few cars, please consider joining the Car Wars Sixth Edition Facebook group where you can share your work with other players. Good luck with painting. We look forward to seeing your pics of painted minis!

Warehouse 23 News: Now Available: Hex d6 Dice Set

This set of four 19mm six-sided dice includes two dice that feature numerals, and two decorated with a megahex design. When the megahex dice are rolled, the number of black hexes showing identifies the die result!
