September 10, 2021: Now Shipping: Munchkin Warhammer 40,000: Faith And Firepower And Munchkin Warhammer 40,000: Savagery And Sorcery Reprints

Last month, the reprints of two Munchkin Warhammer 40,000 expansions – Munchkin Warhammer 40,000: Faith and Firepower and Munchkin Warhammer 40,000: Savagery and Sorcery – left our warehouse and wandered into the wild to look for trouble. Considering the extreme glut of games already in the market, I'm personally happy to see the Munchkin Warhammer 40,000 series continue to sell well enough that reprints of the expansions are both necessary and a good use of our limited resources.

In fact, even though I'll deny it if asked, the Munchkin Warhammer 40,000 line has performed so well that we have a new expansion for the game already completed and moving into the manufacturing stage. The upcoming pack of 112 new cards is expected to land in stores in the first quarter of 2022, but you didn't hear that from me. It's a secret that we're not yet ready to reveal.

September 9, 2021: Car Wars Core Set Pre-Orders!

As the containers loaded with Car Wars Sixth Edition games, accessories, and expansions start to land at our primary warehouse, we are pleased to announce that we have opened pre-orders at Warehouse 23! The Kickstarter rewards are scheduled to start shipping next month, and will ship first, but those of you who missed out and want to get your hands on the new game can now place a pre-order for the Core Set. September 8, 2021: Kickstarter Reports, September 2021 Update

Where does the time go??? It feels like only yesterday we were starting the new year, and now we're approaching the final months of 2021? The world is as weird as ever, but at least we have games to keep us entertained as we live through an apocalypse unlike any we were prepared to face. I mean, I was 100% ready for a nuclear exchange, or an invasion by hostile forces, but nothing could have prepared me to live through a global pandemic or the manufacturing and freight issues we face daily. The world is a bit of a mess right now.

As you've guessed by now, we present these monthly Kickstarter reports to highlight the status of each open/active project. Read on, and then visit each campaign page to learn all about the projects. September 6, 2021: Munchkin Tails And Munchkins & Mazes Back In Stock!

Two casualties of the pandemic were the reprints of our Munchkin 2020 game releases, Munchkin Tails and Munchkins & Mazes . We expected these reprints in our warehouse earlier this year, but the state of freight seriously damaged our schedules and it was only this month that they landed in the warehouse and started shipping to distributors.

Worse still? We know that many Munchkin players in the larger world are unaware of both games. The loss of conventions in 2020, and for much of 2021, has made it a tad difficult to get out into the world and teach the new games to players. That makes it more important than ever that we continue to share information online, in the hopes that those of you who missed the release of these games in 2020 can now get your hands on the reprints in time for your family game nights this fall and winter.

You can find Munchkin Tails and Munchkins & Mazes at your favorite local game store. If you're not sure of which stores may be closest to your home, please see our store finder for a list of known stores that carry Munchkin and other other games.

As part of our constant battle to make it easier for you to find out about our latest releases, we've improved our Amazon pages so that more and more of our titles feature enhanced information, providing you with more photos and details. 

At Amazon, there are both individual product pages – games, expansions, books, etc. – as well as larger category pages. The main landing page includes a small, easy to miss feature that we'd like to point you at today: a follow button. By clicking the button and following Steve Jackson Games on Amazon, you'll receive an occasional email notification when new titles are listed on the site. That's also a great way to know when to check with your local game store for the newest games and expansions, as the local stores receive the new games before Amazon.

September 3, 2021: Follow Random Fun Generator 2 Today

When we launched the Random Fun Generator campaign last year, none of us at the office expected to see the project close with close to 4,000 backers. Our book of dice games for families performed far, far better than expected, so we directed Sam and Randy to tackle a new batch of dice games . . . and now Random Fun Generator 2 is in the final stages of checks and almost ready for Kickstarter!

This new book follows the same format as the first, packing over 20 new dice games into a 76-page wire-bound book. This time around, Sam and Randy included a few games that use tracks/boards, and we will post those tracks as PDF downloads if the campaign is successful so that you don't have to lay the book on the table and use it as the rules and board.

The Random Fun Generator 2 campaign is almost complete and ready to go, and you can follow the project today!

As with the previous campaign, project stretch goals are limited to the $35 and higher reward levels, and those rewards are also limited, so you want to be one of the first to hit the Kickstarter page the day the campaign launches so that you have your choice of reward levels. There's even a special Munchkin level that includes new cards, but we're not yet ready to share the details – so please watch the Daily Illuminator for more news!

September 1, 2021: GURPS Girl Genius Project Update

After many years of work, the official Girl Genius Sourcebook and Roleplaying Game is now available at our online store, Warehouse 23, as a pre-release PDF. Powered by GURPS , this new game is heading to Kickstarter later this year so that we can determine whether or not there is enough demand for a hardcover or POD edition of the game book. Those who purchase the pre-release PDF will receive the updated file later this year, after the Kickstarter closes, giving you a chance at the completed rules now without waiting for our crowdfunding project.

The Kickstarter campaign (follow the project today) includes a single stretch goal: a new Girl Genius comic! If we reach this goal, the comic will be included in both the final PDF and physical editions of the game.

For those of you who get the pre-release PDF, we're collecting typos and glitches so that we can correct the files before the final launch. Please post any typos to this forum thread before October 4, 2021. Thanks!
