Sunday in…Singapore.
In 2007 Mr.C took a promotion that saw Tribe Cahill moving from Sydney, Australia to Singapore. It was a tough decision to make as we had to leave Son#1 here in Australia to finish out his final year of high school and Princess One and Princess & the Pea were not impressed with having to leave all their friends behind. The Kid, as usual, just went with the flow and embraced the move. It took a while but eventually we settled in and even though at times we thought we'd made the worst decision of our lives we did in fact get to see and do things we never would have if we hadn't gone. So today I'm sharing just a few pix of our three years in Singapore.

And now it's Friday.
OMG! Where did the week go? Is the Grinch getting in some practice 6 months ahead of time? I feel like I've gotten nothing done all week. I can say that edits are done on Truth Or Dare and it's now in the hands of the FLE who will (fingers crossed) hopefully find only minor issues but preferably none. I loved working with Heidi on our first book together. It's often a little scary to work with an editor the first time but Heidi and I meshed well and I'm looking forward to a long wonderful editor/author relationship with her.
I finally have a release date for Truth Or Dare. January 17 2012. I know it's sounds far away but I'm sure yesterday was February and apparently it's June so I see the next 7 months flying by. Truth Or Dare is the second book in the Party Games series I'm writing with Lexxie Couper, the first book, Suck And Blow will be out November 15th 2011. There's another two books in the series that we're working on as well and we just might come up with some more stories in the future because it's been such damn good fun collaborating with Lexxie that I'm reluctant to see the series end. Although I could always come up with another one to work together on….*grin*
I'm busy with Steve and Doc. It's been slow going but I'm more than halfway done so I should have them and their story ironed out by early next week when I'll pack it up all nice and sparkly and send it to my beta reader, Fedora and two of my CP's. Then I'll smooth out any edges they find and ship it off to my Ellora's Cave editor. I'm sure Grace will be thrilled to finally get her hands on some more coyotes.
Mr.C is off to India next week so I see lots of writing time in the wee hours of the morning while he's away. I'll even be able to curl up in bed with my electric blanket on and write until I fall asleep. Can't do that when he's home and it gets awfully cold in my office so I usually quit around midnight. Unfortunately I'm usually not able to sleep until 4am so I'm looking forward to using those hours next week.
Other than that there isn't much going on around here. I'm still recuperating but I received a clean bill of health from the doc yesterday so I see things improving quickly now the horrible germ has been eradicated. Seeing how it's Friday evening here I'm going to make myself a cuppa and slide on into the weekend. Here's hoping the weather is warm and the sun keeps shining.

It's Monday?
*gasp* I swear the days are disappearing quicker than summer did. I have no idea what day it is or what month apparently because I was reminded today about a very special anniversary that falls tomorrow that I totally forgot about. Good thing I'm cooking a pork roast tonight for dinner, I can pretend that I did that for Mr.C to celebrate. *grin*
Finally it appears as though I've kick this illness to the curb. I'm still extremely tired and I haven't regained the weight I lost yet but I'm back to eating normally and not feeling sick every gawd-damn day. Mr.C has the next few days off work so he'll be home to help get this house ship-shape again. I swear, the dust bunnies have dust bunnies. LOL
On the writing front things are slow going, I've done very little over the last two weeks but I'm hoping to get back in the chair for longer than a few minutes starting today. Coyote Whispers is exactly where I left it and I'm determined to pick it back up and finish that thing by this time next week. Luckily for me I've got some scenes rolling around in my head. Just need to get them down on the page and piece it all together. I'm also 95% sure there'll be another coyote book. The more I think on it the more I realize that Tatum's story is too large for a secondary plot so I'll be deciding what length to go with this new tale in the Coyote Hunger series.

Sunday in Sydney
Welcome to Sunday in…
I'm hoping to make this a regular feature of the blog. I've got so many wonderful pictures from all over the world but I've decided to start with my home town of Sydney. I grew up here, and except for those three years where we lived in Singapore, I've been here my whole life. So today I give you Sydney Harbour:-

Our famous Sydney Harbour Bridge

People climbing the bridge
There are a couple of groups moving up along the top arch of the bridge. If you look real close you can see the group right in the middle of the pic and at the top of the arch is another group. Son#1 & Lady-in-waiting did the climb a few weeks ago and said it was fantastic.

The equally famous Opera House

Circular Quay - the harbour's major ferry dock
Yes, that's a huge cruise ship off to the right.

Don't you wish you were on board going somewhere?
It's not the largest ship I've seen docked here but it gives you a good idea of how big Sydney Harbour is and this is just one small section of it. I hope you've enjoyed your Sunday in Sydney. *grin*

Coyote update.
Yesterday I went back to the point where I felt things had gone off track for Steve and Doc. A whole 5,000 words back. Then I started again. Some of what I had got twisted and reshaped to fit in the new direction but 90% of those 5,000 words went under the delete button. *sob* But I managed to build back up and did over 5,000 words of new writing so we are, I think, finally moving forward again. I'll be adding more today and smoothing out some of what's there but for now I'm happy again with where we're headed. Of course that could be 'desperate wishful thinking author' speaking. *grin*
Oh, and Tatum is still there. She has a story to tell for sure so it looks like there may be another book in the series after these two. She has ties to Whispering Springs but hasn't been home for years. Well not that most are aware of anyway. *grin* One person has seen her before this shock arrival. Maybe he can answer the 'babies daddy' question?
The best bit about writing Coyote Whispers is that all my old friends are back to play. Quinn, Rowan, Brogan and El all make more than a cameo appearance and the mysterious sheriff, Dale Turner is back too. And wait until you meet Kat. She's feisty. Doc's half-sister is going to give Brady a run for his money in Coyote Lies that's for sure.
And now that I've given you a sneak peek I better get back to them. I've had one trip to the airport interrupt my day and there's another one in a few hours so I better make the most of the time I've got.

Sagging in a romance?
Now that's something you don't want to read, nothing worse than a sagging hero but that's not quite what I'm talking about. I'm talking about what us writers refer to as the 'saggy middle'. I has it. *sigh* Well Steve and Doc have it actually. At least I think they have it…. Damn. I honestly don't know anymore. I've hit the mid-point of Coyote Whispers and I honestly think it's f**ked. I'm looking around wondering where the hell we're going, who the hell is Tatum and more importantly why has she shown up six months pregnant with TWINS!!! Can anyone say 'who's your babies daddy?', oh and maybe if you could answer too.
Here's the thing, Steve and Doc are complicated. They have history, they have tension and they're trying to find their way even though they both know where they're going. How they get to that happy-ever-after is supposed to be the 'meat' of the story but what happens when they kinda get there in the beginning? Can the obstacles in their way be enough to make the story worth reading? I guess I dive back in and see where it is we're going because the thought of ditching 20,000 words just makes me want to cry.

One Night In Bangkok review
A few months ago Saxon from Singapore Fling came to the attention of Maldivian Book Reviewer thanks to Pearl of Pearl's World of Romance. Now Maldivian has gotten her hands on Tom from One Night In Bangkok. *grin* She's subjected him to her new review style, I-Review, and I have to say the girl has made me blush and smile so wide I think my jaw broke. You can hope over to Maldivian Book Reviewer's Realm of Romance HERE! to read the full review but I have to this is my favorite line:-
"Just flat-out loved it!"
See, what's not to smile about? *grin*

Monday Madness.
I has it. *sigh* Well it actually started on Saturday when my PC wouldn't start. It just kept beeping at me. Of course that was right after the two computer savvy members of Tribe Cahill had disappeared overseas for the week. gggrrr Anyway, I just decided to do the Ostrich, you know, stick my head in the sand. I pulled out the netbook and tried to write but the bout of ringing ears I had last week was obviously the warning bell for the sore throat, high fever bug that came to stay for the weekend. *sigh* I thought that was quite fitting for the weekend considering it was meant to be the end of the world. Turned out to be a real dud of a weekend when I think about it. LOL But all that aside, the PC is now working (for who knows how long) and I've backed up all my files AND best of all, I'm now able to eat. Well yogurt and fruit but that's food, right. Right?
Back to the real world and I've got stuff coming out those no longer ringing ears and I'm getting it done as quickly as I can so rest easy, if I owe you something I'm getting there as fast as I can. If only there were two of me. Actually that's no such a good idea…..
