The other day, I posted what, no doubt, is a controversial opinion. Cheesecake is NOT cake. It’s a pie! And, well, it looks like the internet agrees with me.
Yep, the entire internet. Roughly 450 people. There’s no arguing with democracy.
Today’s Yes/No. I have to admit, I do admire this woman’s ingenuity in coming up with progressively more revolting preparations.
Velveeta Manicotti Hot Dog Casserole? Yes/No

Akemi: How do you spell pepper?
Me: p-e-p-p-e-r.
Akemi: And how do you spell pepper?
Me: P-E-P-P-E-R
Akemi: What about pepper?
Me: P-E-P-P-E-R!!!
Akemi: No. The first one was black pepper. The second one was the pepper you grow in the garden.

May 8, 2021: Heads Up!
New predictions now suggest the Long March rocket will crash to Earth sometime around Sunday morning but whether it will land in the ocean or on inhabited land is still open to debate.
Here's why you should (probably) be ok

— euronews (@euronews) May 8, 2021
More than likely it just lands somewhere the Pacific rather than directly atop your head or house. But, really, who knows?
THIS is disquietingly accurate…

The Top 10 Kpop Tracks of April, 2021
Your mileage may vary…8
***

10. Mafia in the Morning – Itzy
Doesn’t land as strongly for me as Wannabe or Not Shy, but solid nevertheless. And these ladies can dance!***
9. We Do – Super MA catchy disco foray.***
8. 5K – Lee Jin-HyukTo be honest, this song really grew on me.***
7. Save U – Kang DanielThe entire album, Yellow, is great.***
6. Headline – ABSIX
Close is the track that is getting all the attention, but this is my favorite off their latest EP.
***
5. Loved You – Bae173A really solid track.***
4. Misunderstood – Kang DanielI could’ve gone with Antidote, another great song off the new album that is getting a lot of play, but opted for Misunderstood which I think deserves a little more love.***
3. I Just – eAeon
A beautiful song off a wonderful album by a grossly underappreciated artist.
***
2. Oasis – 2ZOne of South Korean’s best rock bands delivers yet again.***
1. Drunk-Dazed – EnhypenAn awesome surprise off their second album which also includes gems like The Invitation and Mixed Up.The post The Top 10 Kpop Tracks of April, 2021 appeared first on Joseph Mallozzi's Weblog.

May 6, 2021: The Birthday Hangover!
Look at the birthday girl, all tuckered out after a day of hard partying, walking, and plenty of treats. Suji celebrated the big 1-6 yesterday in typical fashion – she slept through most of it.
So, this tweet received 6k+ likes and over 1500 retweets, meaning I’m going to have to investigate the interest/possibility with my music contact in Seoul. Now if this one pans out, it would truly be wild…

May 4, 2021: Akemi-isms and Pro Lessons!
So, earlier today…
Akemi: Stocks have flateaued.
Me: Plateaued. It's PLATeaued.
Akemi: But isn't it flat.
Me: Maybe, but there's not such thing as FLATeaued.
Akemi: WUT???!
Reminiscent of the "Happy DELAYTED Birthday" revelation.

In all fairness, her versions are superior.
Hey, here’s something I learned today…
#WritingTip
Do NOT consume an entire can of LaCroix just prior to your pitch.
— Joseph Mallozzi (@BaronDestructo) May 4, 2021
Also learned today that is not in my best interest to do professional favors for people who are not my friends. It’s something I have long considered but recent events have cemented the fact I am truly wasting time and effort that could be better spent focusing on my own projects.

Hokkaido $10 Banana? Yes/No
Japan has $10 bananas from the coldest prefecture in the country, but how do they taste? https://t.co/cuU6mCB5de via @RocketNews24En
— Joseph Mallozzi (@BaronDestructo) May 3, 2021
Better than a $500 melon I suppose.
It was my uncle Vic’s birthday this past weekend. Last time we visited. he offered us Guttenbaggen – which turned out to be his way of pronouncing Haagen-Dazs. I will never forget his wise words to his son, my cousin Paul, those man-years ago: “Paul, if I end up in the hospital and become a vegetarian, pull the plug.” I can truly relate.
Also on the birthday docket this week is this girl –
who celebrates the big 1 6 on Wednesday. A milestone! On this week’s To Do list: send notes on notes on the second draft of the Project F pilot, reimagine our pitch of that classic SF series, pitch Powder Mage to a prospective partner, discuss the pilot to that time loop series, provide notes on the pitch deck of that sci-fi comic book, zoom chat discussion regarding my potential involvement in that cool arcana series.
How are your respective weeks looking?
