Plotting and searching...
Okay, so I have started plotting the next book.
This will be the first book in a new trilogy featuring 3 brothers, and as I've already met the hero and the heroine, I'm expecting this to be a fun write.
Of course, we all know what happens when I start trying to develop these characters, but I'm being optimistic and expecting them to cooperate with me for once. Yes I am. (Who called me a fool? *looks around suspiciously*)
So anyway, just wanted to let you all know that I sacrificed some hours checking out artistic photos of perfect anatomical male figures. I did this very professionally. Because I'm a professional. (I did not use my sleeve to wipe up the drool! Who said that? I'm a PROFESSIONAL! ...I used a tissue...)
Let's just say I found the perfect photos! I know, no need to thank me. It's the least I could do...

Jason's Story is Done!!!
Can't believe I'm saying this but - Jason's story is done! Finished!
Yes, I know! After all my whining, tantrums, key indentations in my forehead from banging it on the keyboard, and threats to Wipe Him Out, his story is done!
It's in the editing stages now, will be released on the 1st April (I know, April Fool's Day!) and is available for Pre-order from Amazon, Smashwords and All Romance eBooks. Sorry, I have no idea how to attach the links, but if you go to my website, you'll find the links there. I'll be adding to them as more links come through.
Even better, I've got myself organized and not only posted the cover and blurb on my site, but also an excerpt.
I really hope I did justice to Jason's book. Seriously, I was so worried about what people would think of his story that I might have created a block for myself. Once I realized that I can only write his story from my heart, and how I see him and the heroine, that I was able to really get into his story.
I hope you all like it.
For those not interested in the book, that's cool, no worries. But have a gander at the cover, that's worth a peek! *drool* I've had that cover printed out and stuck on my wall next to the desk to inspire me.
Can I say that originally the title was to be 'No Promises', but as the book progressed, it dawned on me that 'Promises' was a much more apt title.
I think I learned a few things about myself on Jason's journey, believe it or not.
Hmmm...and believe it or not, his book has led me to start plotting a new trilogy! But more about that later *wink*.
Meanwhile, thank you to everyone for being my 'listening ears' when I've had to moan and yell about the book! I appreciate you all. It's great to share the journey!

I'm Loving Jason Again!
YES!!!! Against all odds, against all threats and blood and sweat and tears (okay, maybe going a wee bit far...but not too far), Jason's book is coming together.
I swear, his has been a roller coaster ride. I'd like to say it's because the book is a tear-jerker, a heart-rendering piece of fantastic fiction, but that would be going WAAAAY too far! *guffaw*
No, it's more that the book is finally coming together. I'm belting along, and am three quarters of the way through it! YES! I'm on that home run, baby! If I had a week off work and was able to write for fourteen hours a day, I'd nail it by the end of next week. Alas, I have to work for a living as well so that time is cut down. But nevertheless, I'm working on it before and after work, and on my days off. Today is a day off, so I'll be working on this book today.
Meanwhile, Evie is snoozing on the desk right in front of the computer screen, touching it with her paws and making things appear and disappear, the dog is sprawled in the kitchen, the cats are lying around inside (Abby is lying on her back beside my chair), there's a hot wind blowing outside, the wild birds are flopped under the Frangipani trees drinking from the water bowl and eating the seed Mum puts out for them, and I have an icy cold tin of Diet Coke by my side. Bliss!
Except for the heat. I prefer rain. Rain would be nice. :-)

Clothes Issues...oh dear
So I have to admit I am the worst at trying to buy mix and matching clothes. I also don't have the best dress sense. I admit I buy what I like to wear, but not always pay attention to how certain things will look together.
You think I'm joking, but seriously, I can spend two hours trying to pick an outfit and still look like Bozo the Clown. My friends, on the other hand, can just throw on any outfit at their fingertips without looking and look a million dollars. But that's okay, I'm cool with it, they're cool with me, all's cool. Plus the cats don't care how I look as long as I snuggle and feed them when they desire it, so they're cool with me, too. Mum's just happy to see me with pants on.
But my issue is this... I tend to buy clothes from a couple of on-line shops on the other side of Australia. I believe in shopping local and supporting local business, unfortunately the local businesses in town don't have what I like. I'm not partial to huge red and black cabbage flowers or a triangle/sharp angles pattern scattered over a dress even if my hips do rival a hippo's. But these couple of shops on-line carry pretty clothes in pretty colors and small print, so I usually go with them.
The other day I looked at all these pretty flowered knicker-bockers (pedal pusher pants, whatever they're called...I don't know, they come down to below the knee, okay?) and decided I better be a grown-up and actually get some plain colored shirts to go with them. So I picked some plainer shirts at the on-line store that - BONUS! - were also greatly reduced in a Heck Yeah! sale. (not that I go nuts at sales - I'll go into that later), and bought them.
The shirts arrived today. Really excited at being a grown-up for a change and acting my age, I opened up the parcel and tried everything on. Three shirts fit great. The other fours shirts are my new dresses. They go down to my knees. I kid you not. I looked down and yep, same old story. Apparently I'm not as tall as the model I saw wearing them in the on-line store.
This is not the first time this has happened to me. I'm currently wearing, as a dress, a tunic that was supposed to come halfway down my thighs. It hits my knees. I have five dresses that were originally supposed to be tunics I could wear with bike shorts. Never mind covering my generously curved bottom, they hide my thighs and skim my luscious knees.
I tried on the shorts I got for $8 (read that, $8!) each and they're too big in the waist. Cause to smile, yes, but now Mum has to take them in for me. Thank God for Mum, because all I can do is hem and sew on buttons. The only craft thing I'm good at is cross-stitch.
So while I have scored 3 shirts, I either have to hit Mum up to please cut off heaps of material and hem the dress/shirts, or just have another four dresses.
Sometimes being a grown-up sucks lemons. I think I'll just go back and throw mud at someone...

Writing & Reading & Procrastinating...
So I'm writing and reading and procrastinating. Yes, I admit it, I'm the worlds best procrastinator! If they made it into a job, I'd be Boss. Head of the Pack. Number 1 Procrastinator.
Unfortunately, procrastinating isn't a job, it just means I need to get my head on straight and stop fooling around, and use my day off work wisely. Such as writing.
Jason. Freakin' Jason's story. It's doing my head in. He's the reason I've drunk so much Diet Coke that my kidneys are doing the backstroke. I thought I finally had a handle on him, but the slippery little sucker slid right out of my grasp. GAH! *kick*kick*kick*whine*tantrum*kick! KICK!
So to stop myself saying "To hell with you, buddy, you're history!" I instead blogged about Evie, aka Eve of Destruction, the naughtiest cat in our house. Here's the link if you want to check it out http://www.angelaverdenius.blogspot.c...
So saying, now I'm going back to Jason. He'll be lucky if I don't sit on him... The only ones keeping him gasping for breath are you loyal fans of his! He definitely owes you all his life LOL

It's Finally Happening!
Ring the bells! Sing 'Hallelujah!' Bounce on your toes! Jump on your bed!
Jason's story is finally happening!
I can't believe it myself. I have fought that turkey (and I mean it literally for him - YOU TURKEY, JASON!) and fought him, and wrote and deleted and wrote and deleted and tore my hair out. But now - it's working!
I had this moment of clarity where I looked at what I was writing and faced the fact that...this just isn't working. Am I going to have to shelve Jason's story for awhile and do something else instead? Definitely didn't want to do that, as I had the feeling if I shelved his story it would slip away and very possibly never be written. So I knew I had to keep going with it. But I wiped the pages clear I'd started (and started and started and restarted and - you get the picture) and thought - I have to start with something new for him, a different angle. So I did. And it worked! Not saying the story is flowing smoothly, but its progressing better than it had been.
Ah, Jason, how I love you - and hate you all at the same time!

Jason Is Asking for It
So I'm writing Jason's story, or supposed to be. That *&$! twerp has made me start chapter 1 three times already. I should be near the end of chapter 1, not still grappling at the beginning!
Is he hard? No. Is he mean to me? No. So what is it? I DON'T KNOW! Jason is sort of floating around, doing his own thing, watching me. I have the keys of the keyboard imprinted in my forehead from the amount of times I've smacked it down on the keyboard in frustration. Even Evie and Lily stalked off and left me to it because I kept groaning and head smacking and disturbing their beauty sleep (one on the chair, the other in my basket of paper stuff to be shredded later). My delete key is almost worn out.
And behind me, almost next to my ear, I hear this whispered 'tsk tsk tsk'.
Just keep 'tsking' away, Jason, MY FINGER IS ON THE DELETE KEY!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
I need more Diet Coke...stat...

Quick Catch-Up
So the website is done *yay!* and looks really pretty. Thank you Word Press! And thank you You Tube tutorials!!
Mail Chimp - so I'm changing my newsletter to Mail Chimp, still working on the new newsletter. That'll be interesting how it turns out LOL, especially for January's issue! Ah well, something to look forward to *wink*
And now? Now I am feeling lazy. Work has been heavy, learning all about the new website and how to do it has fried my brain, and today I've decided to take the arvo off and flop on the sofa with a couple of zombie movies. Yep, that's right - zombie movies and a bag of munchies, here I come!
Tomorrow, however....tomorrow is all about Jason and his book. My brain will be fresh (I hope) and the ideas flow (I hope!). LOL Look out, mate, here I come! (okay, that didn't quite come out the way I thought it would sound...)

Website Woes
Oh geez, my website is killing me! It won't upload, I can't make updates to it, it's so frustrating! My host changed to a new company and I've emailed them for help. If I don't get a reply back, I'll have to find a new host, which means having to learn a new system of doing my website - and that takes valuable time from writing!
I was supposed to start Jason's story, and haven't done much with it because I'm fiddling around with the *&%$@! website! But I need this website up and running properly! Luckily, I did most of the updates and changed a few pages to try and make it neater and easier to use, before everything went pear-shaped (and I'm not talking about my body...that's already pear-shaped! ROTFL), so as far as I'm aware, the website looks okay.
ARGH!!!!! Need more Diet Coke! STAT!

Second Chance excerpt up!
So it's 5 minutes to midnight and I'm about ready to drop my forehead on the keyboard and go to sleep. But I've finally done all the updates on my website - and the excerpt for Second Chance is up! Here it is - http://www.angelaverdenius.com/SCexce...
if you're interested in having a peek.
Not long until release day - time goes so fast. Before you know it, it'll be Christmas. I'm still wondering what happened to last Christmas!
I have to say, I've done a whack of reading, which has been great. In a couple of days I'll start Jason's story. I have a feeling it's not going to be an easy write - but when are they ever?!
cheers!
