The Divine Romance
Ephesians 5:28 – So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
Men of God–husbands and fathers–are so powerful! But when men step away from their post as the watchman of the family, everything and everyone suffers. Women resent stepping in where their husband is called. They grow weary and hurt. When life is out of balance, chaos reigns. Stop the crazy cycle by being the partner you have been called to be. You are a leader in the family of God.
Declaration: I love my family, my wife, and my children. I am committed and will guard them against all threats.
THE DIVINE ROMANCEThat thing going on between you and Jesus – that private conversation you have going on and the promises He’s made that you’re waiting on – that’s called “the divine romance.”
In the first passage of the book of Genesis, we are told God is alone, God is love, yet there was no counterpart for Him. Yes, He is a trinity – three in one – but it’s that One part of God that was looking for a counterpart. He wanted a bride to love and protect.
You need to understand that God Almighty created human beings for this kind of intimacy. How do I know? Because that’s the first thing He did with Adam. He created a bride for him.
God was like, “Let Me just tell you how it is with Me. It’s not good to be alone so I’m going to create a help-meet for you. So, from your rib, and twice as refined from the earth, I’m going to create the perfect helper and you two are going to be something else.”
The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. – Zephaniah 3:17
They literally walked and talked with God in the garden – a picture of the secret place where they could be “quieted” by His love. They had an intimacy with Him like a bride and a groom have. That got the attention of the enemy. If he couldn’t be made in the image of God and be part of God’s family, he would get in-between them.
The lie of the enemy not only separated the first man from the first woman, it separated the man and woman as the bride from their Groom. It was the world’s first act of adultery and it literally destroyed them. It brought death into the world. The romance was over!
Although mankind was separated from God. the Lord had not abandoned us. He had a plan to restore that romance through His Son Jesus Christ. Through Jesus, that relationship has been restored. Are you rekindling that divine romance?

Construction or Destruction?
Ephesians 5:27 – …that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
God’s passion is for His church, His people. Church is not a cruise ship. It is a battleship! Be a church that stewards what you have been entrusted with. Line up your mouth with His. Line up your thinking with His. Overcome the world’s agenda by His goodness. The Lord is worth laying down your plans and living out His purposes.
Declaration: I am the church of Christ. I walk in unity and integrity for His Glory.
Construction or Destruction?Yesterday we solved the mystery of woman: She was created with Adam, but not revealed until he discovered his need for a helpmeet. Helpmeet in Hebrew is “ezer knegdo” – the unifying shield of encouragement that is openly and boldly of equal worth on earth and in the Kingdom of God.
In short, woman was made to be an agent of construction, not destruction. And that makes sense because, no matter what the loony left tells you, only women can construct babies. It is their distinct purpose for mankind.
How do women construct? With their love. Man can build a house, but the woman makes it a home. She feeds, clothes, decorates, organizes, and generally takes what the man gives her and makes it better. She especially makes him better.
Because she is made to surround, protect, give aid and relief, woman is the safe place for man to be himself. If he fails, she comforts and encourages him to get back up. If he’s hurting, she comforts him. If he’s confused or unsure of the future, she speaks wisdom into him, which we’ll talk more about next Friday.
The bottom line is that woman was made to protect man’s heart. Here’s how I know.
And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man – Genesis 2:21-22
Men, if you give a woman your heart–if you love her more than you love yourself and you put her dreams and desires before your own, she will become a mighty fortress for your heart and dreams. She was made to build and multiply the love you give her, so give her a reason to.
Likewise, if you give a woman grief, heartache and trouble, she will multiply that as well. My friend, when woman goes against her God-given nature and becomes an agent of destruction, all hell will break loose in your life. Don’t go there!
So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. – Ephesians 5:28
Remember men, that woman is a literal part of your body, so treat her with kindness and love. If you do, that little lady will fight the gates of hell for you.
Ladies, today I want to encourage you to be agents of construction: speak life into the men in your life and into your kids. Build them up in word and action. Protect their hearts, their reputations and minds, and see how you can multiply the life God has given you to steward–theirs and yours.

The Mystery of Woman – Solved!
Matthew 5:26 – Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny.
Because you are created in the image of God, the Great Judge, there is a part of you that demands justice when wrong is done. You hate seeing someone lie when you know the truth. You want wrong to be made right. Good news! The Lord, Jehovah Tsidkenu–the Righteous One–brings justice and stands against the enemies of His kids. Trust Him to fight for you. Your anger accomplishes nothing. His righteousness brings truth and life.
Declaration: The Lord is restoring the days the locusts have eaten. He is giving back what the enemy has stolen from me.
The Mystery of Woman – Solved!I love the Hebrew language. It is so deep with hidden meaning that you just have to search out. With that said, one of the biggest mysteries in the universe is woman. Now, I’m not just saying that to be funny or rib you ladies – pun definitely intended!
Think about it. There are no females among the heavenly beings. None. The Sons of God or “Watchers”–high level angelic beings–were jealous of man because man not only had a helpmeet, a woman, but that they also had offspring. You can find that in Genesis 6, but that is a story for another day. Back to they mystery of woman.
I would argue that woman was created the day God breathed into Adam and he stood upright. She was created but not revealed. It’s right here in very first chapter of the Bible.
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness … So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. – Genesis 1:26-27
Woman was no afterthought as many think. She was a mystery from the very start. But why? Let’s look at scripture.
And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” – Genesis 2:18
The King James says “helpmeet.” That word is the key. It is made of two Hebrew words; “ezer” and “knegdo.” This is where is gets fun and you’ll see why.
“Ezer” is the word for help, but it is much more rich and deep than our English language can translate. Ezer is about surrounding, protecting, giving aid and bringing relief. There are three things the Jews say ezer does:
Shields – does not exposeUnifies – does not divideEncourages – does not destroy or discourageThe Hebrew word “knegdo” has a dual meaning, and this is crazy cool. First, it’s about being obvious, in your face–not hiding but boldly standing. It also means “parallel, equal or in opposition/completion of.” What’s that all about?
Think of two sides of a coin or both banks of a river. That is what knegdo is all about–that’s obvious. Yes, another pun. So woman is separate but equal to man, but hear me say this to you: being equal does not mean she is the same as man. Man and woman are not the same, but they are equal.
Equal is not about a list of physical or mental traits, which is what “same” implies. Equal denotes value. When God created Adam with the mystery of Eve yet to be revealed, He already called her “ezer knegdo”– the unifying shield of encouragement that is openly and boldly of equal worth on earth and in the Kingdom of God.
Newsflash! You will not hear that from mainstream media or the feminist movement. They tell you the lie that women are the same as men when they are not. Women do, however, hold equal value and have a dynamic purpose only they can fulfill. Mystery solved!

You’re No Stranger…
TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 5/25/2023
Galatians 5:25 – If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Understanding how the Lord speaks is so incredibly important in your walk in the Spirit. Don’t limit God in the voices He uses to speak to you. It’s in knowing and recognizing His voice, and constantly being engaged with the Lord, that we go from operating as servants who don’t understand the Father’s business, to being His sons and daughters, who steward the inheritance.
Declaration: I will not limit God’s voice. Every day I welcome visions, prophetic words and God encounters. I am a child of God.
YOU’RE NO STRANGER
There’s a big difference between being a servant and being a son. While we’re all servants of God because we do His work on this earth, it’s His great pleasure to make us sons and daughters – joint heirs with His Son, Jesus.
Now if we are children, then we are heirs – heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. – Roams 8:17
One of the many things you and I do all the time is pray like we’re orphans, not heirs. We all know how to pray according to anxiety. I’m guilty of this, too. When we pray from anxiety, we’re not praying from a position of authority. We’re begging like orphans who have no relationship to the Father.
Do you know what? That grieves His heart. It really does! When we do that, we question His goodness toward us.
When you are saved, you have the relationship and right standing to run to the Lord as our Father. I promise you, He will love on you and He will help you. You’re no stranger. You’re family.

THE GIVER
John 5:24 – “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”
Do you have value for the promises of King Jesus? These promises are faithful. You have a chance to partner with Him by believing and trusting even when you don’t understand. Jesus doesn’t hate your humanity. He is a warrior and will not tolerate evil. We are not destined for wrath, but God’s enemies will not escape it.
Declaration: I’m part of God’s camp. I prioritize Him and His Kingdom. His promises are “Yes” and “Amen” in my life.
THE GIVERThe Bible tells us in Genesis that God formed man from the dust of the earth and breathed life into him. From the very beginning of His relationship with us, God has been a giver.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” – James 1:17
The greatest gift He’s every given is Himself and He’s done that on numerous occasions. The most notable are the cross and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Both of those are acts of love because we are incapable of loving God on our own. Once we accept His love, we can then love him in return.
“A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.” – John 3:27
It’s true! Only God can love God. We’re incapable without His redemption and His Spirit living in us.
“Or who has first given to Him and it shall be repaid to him? For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.” – Romans 11:53-36
God gave you and me a command to love Him with all our heart, all our mind, all our strength and all our soul. God gives the command, but honestly it’s not really a command.
Here’s what God is trying to teach us: He wants us to love Him but we can’t. So, when He tells us to love Him, it’s an invitation to be loved by Him. He’s giving us an invitation to receive it so we can give it back. We are the beloved.
Do you love the Lord Jesus with all your heart, mind and strength? Accept the love of the Father, the sacrifice of the Son and the gift of the Holy Spirit and live in abundance today.

No Going Back!
Proverbs 5:23 – He shall die for lack of instruction, and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
Ever wished life came with an instruction manual? It does! The Bible. It’s your God-given instruction for every part of your life. When you don’t know what to do, or how to think, the Lord gives you answers in His word. It’s His Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. He actually invites you to search it out with Him and leads us into life abundant.
Declaration: I value the word of God and His wisdom. I read His word and seek His heart daily.
NO GOING BACK!Sometimes, all you can do is stand with God not knowing how to advance. Standing is a big deal in the Bible. You can’t fight from a chair, but standing doesn’t mean you’re advancing. It just means you’re upright.
If you’re standing and you’ve got on the full armor of God, the first thing you notice is you don’t have any butt armor.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God… – Ephesians 6:14-17
Nope. No backside armor listed! That means you can’t turn tail and run because you’ll be unprotected. You’ll be vulnerable to attack and maybe worse. With that said, have you ever been in a place where you can’t move forward but if you go back you’ll die? What do you do in that place? You stand.
What does it mean to stand? To stand literally is a picture of righteousness. If you look up the word righteousness it means “one with legs.” It means you know you can stand in the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ.
God is holy. He has His act together. God is good and I won’t budge on that. I will not budge on the fact that God is good. I will not budge on the fact that God is with me. I will not budge. There are just some things you have to decide you will not give up – come hell or high water you will stand on those things.
What are you standing on? His goodness? His abundant life or power? Are you standing on a promise He gave you years ago and you’re faithfully waiting for Him to bring it to pass? Whatever it is, it’s worth digging your heals in and standing firm. Keep looking forward and telling yourself, “No going back!”

Romancing the King
Matthew 5:22 – But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, “Raca!” shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, “You fool!” shall be in danger of hell fire.
Outbursts of anger are not a good witness for the Lord and His Kingdom. You were given a spirit of self-control. Injustice and perversity are all around. You cannot escape because you are not called to escape, but to engage using the mind of Christ.
Declaration: I’m an ambassador of heaven and I have a higher calling. Anger has no hold on me.
Romancing the KingGod hears your prayers wherever you are. But there are special places Jesus commands you to go where you take special prayers because you’re looking for special results. That’s part of the romance between you and God. That’s how intimacy works.
Now, I’ve been married to my beautiful wife for over 30 years. When I was young and poor, I would take her to the Dairy Queen. Romantic? No. An intimacy builder where she could see my true love for her? No. But drive six hours to the Dairy Queen in Hot Springs, Arkansas just so I can be with her for six hours? She got the point!
Just like that, Jesus loves it when you consider how to build intimacy with Him. He is a Bridegroom after all and He’s been building a “secret place” for you for over 2,000 years. Jewish wedding tradition is a shadow to give us a sneak peek into God’s great plan.
Back in the day, a Jewish man would take all of the wealth he had earned – everything he owned including his own identity – and present it to the girl he wanted to make his. The more extravagant the gift, the greater the promise of a wonderful life together.
After she accepted his gift, that young man would run home and build the house they were to share. Do you think he built a shack? No! He would think of her every need and desire, wanting to please her and show the depth of his love.
Jesus is our Bridegroom. He paid the price with His life. He’s gone to prepare a place for us and it’s going to be amazingly personal to each one of us. Are you preparing to meet Him? Are you sending Him love letters of prayer and praise to encourage His affection? That’s romance and believe Me, He is listening!
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. – John 14:3

Called to an Open Door?
1 Thessalonians 5:21 – Test all things; hold fast to what is good.
The One who is truly good is coming back soon and great hostility against His appearance has already begun. Hold on and test the truthfulness of everything. This generation is tempted like no other generation to give up on what is good–to compromise. But that’s not you! You will hold onto the truth of Jesus Christ. He is good even when all else seems bad.
Declaration: I will not compromise. Jesus is the Truth. He is the Way and the Life in the chaos of this day.
CALLED TO AN OPEN DOOR?Jesus says in the book of Luke and in Matthew 24 that the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the heavens and when you see these things begin to happen, look up from what you’re doing because it’s even at the door. What’s at the door? The Bridegroom, Jesus.
Now, “even at the door” means one of two things: you are either the Church of Philadelphia or the Church of Laodicean.
The Church of Philadelphia had its act together. They were known for “brotherly love.” They knew love is a verb. They knew how to take care of others in a selfless way that proved Jesus is good. Because of that, this church is called up to an open door, amen.
“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.” – Revelation 3:7-8
I believe that open door no man can shut is the rapture of the Church – the five wise virgins with the oil of the Spirit in their lamps – for the marriage supper of the lamb.
Now, the Church of Laodicea (Rev. 3:14-22) was known for being lukewarm, just like the water that flowed there from the Roman aqueducts. They have no fire, no passion, no zeal. In the Laodicean Church, Jesus Christ is at the door and he’s knocking because they’ve kicked Him out. Did you catch that? He’s at the door. What happens next? Another door opens and this one is really important to understand:
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” – Revelation 4:1
My friends, the Bridegroom cometh. He’s at the door. The Sign of the Son of Man appeared in the heavens in September of 2017. Hello? We’re supposed to be looking for Him. He’s at the door and I’ve got to ask, are you called to an open door of selfless service or is your door shut? Don’t leave Jesus on the outside. Love thy neighbor as yourself.

Winning the World Series 3: Fielder’s Choice
Sunday, May 21, 2023
Pastor Troy Brewer, OpenDoor Church, Burleson, TX
Seeking Godly Guidance: Making Decisions and Coming to Godly Conclusions
Fielder’s Choice is a term used in baseball to describe a specific type of defensive play that occurs during an at-bat. In a Fielder’s Choice, a fielder is presented with two or more options for making an out and chooses one, allowing a runner to advance to the next base as a result.
This play is often made by infielders and is an important part of the scoring strategy of baseball. Understanding what a Fielder’s Choice is and how it impacts a game is essential for players and fans alike. Options are everything!
Having options is what freedom is all about.
It’s also the reason hell is full of human beings in a place designed for the devil and his minions.
Our ability to recognize our options and make good decisions will determine what our victories or defeats are.
Part of every single journey is dealing with forks in the road. Part of winning any game is strategic planning, decisive action, maintaining momentum, and precision in execution.
Churches are failing. Our nation is unraveling. The political environment is going global. Families are are under attack. Rule of law is out the window. We have some conclusions to come to and some decisions to make.
Joshua 24:1-31 – Then Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem and called for the elders of Israel, for their heads, for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God.
2 And Joshua said to all the people, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Your fathers, including Terah, the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor, dwelt on the other side of the River in old times; and they served other gods.
3 Then I took your father Abraham from the other side of the River, led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his descendants and gave him Isaac.
4 ‘To Isaac I gave Jacob and Esau. To Esau I gave the mountains of Seir to possess, but Jacob and his children went down to Egypt.
5 ‘Also I sent Moses and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt, according to what I did among them. Afterward I brought you out.
6 ‘Then I brought your fathers out of Egypt, and you came to the sea; and the Egyptians pursued your fathers with chariots and horsemen to the Red Sea.
7 ‘So they cried out to the Lord; and He put darkness between you and the Egyptians, brought the sea upon them, and covered them. And your eyes saw what I did in Egypt. Then you dwelt in the wilderness a long time.
8 ‘And I brought you into the land of the Amorites, who dwelt on the other side of the Jordan, and they fought with you. But I gave them into your hand, that you might possess their land, and I destroyed them from before you.
9 ‘Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose to make war against Israel, and sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you.
10 ‘But I would not listen to Balaam; therefore he continued to bless you. So I delivered you out of his hand.
11 ‘Then you went over the Jordan and came to Jericho. And the men of Jericho fought against you–also the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. But I delivered them into your hand.
12 ‘I sent the hornet before you which drove them out from before you, also the two kings of the Amorites, but not with your sword or with your bow.
13 ‘I have given you a land for which you did not labor, and cities which you did not build, and you dwell in them; you eat of the vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant.’
14 “Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord!
15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
16 So the people answered and said: “Far be it from us that we should forsake the Lord to serve other gods;
17 for the Lord our God is He who brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, who did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way that we went and among all the people through whom we passed.
18 And the Lord drove out from before us all the people, including the Amorites who dwelt in the land. We also will serve the Lord, for He is our God.”
19 But Joshua said to the people, “You cannot serve the Lord, for He is a holy God. He is a jealous God; He will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.
20 If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, then He will turn and do you harm and consume you, after He has done you good.”
21 And the people said to Joshua, “No, but we will serve the Lord!”
22 So Joshua said to the people, “You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen the Lord for yourselves, to serve Him.” And they said, “We are witnesses!”
23 “Now therefore,” he said, “put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord God of Israel.”
24 And the people said to Joshua, “The Lord our God we will serve, and His voice we will obey!”
25 So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and made for them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem.
26 Then Joshua wrote these words in the Book of the Law of God. And he took a large stone, and set it up there under the oak that was by the sanctuary of the Lord.
27 And Joshua said to all the people, “Behold, this stone shall be a witness to us, for it has heard all the words of the Lord which He spoke to us. It shall therefore be a witness to you, lest you deny your God.”
28 So Joshua let the people depart, each to his own inheritance.
29 Now it came to pass after these things that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died, being one hundred and ten years old.
30 And they buried him within the border of his inheritance at Timnath Serah, which is in the mountains of Ephraim, on the north side of Mount Gaash.
TIMNATH SERAH MEANS “ABUNDANT PORTION”
31 Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who outlived Joshua, who had known all the works of the Lord which He had done for Israel.

THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING
Remembering is prioritizing the prayers God has answered in your life (This list will keep you praying)
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. – Psalm 145:18
THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING
The people God has placed in your life (This list will keep you relational)
Rick Warren writes in The Purpose Driven Life, “I have been at the bedside of many people in their final moments, when they stand on the edge of eternity, and I have never heard anyone say, ‘Bring me my diplomas! I want to look at them one more time. Show me my awards, my medals, that gold watch I was given.’ When life on earth is ending, people don’t surround themselves with objects. What we want around us is people – people we love and have relationships with. In our final moments we all realize that relationships are what life is all about.”
Philippians 1:3-4 – I thank God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy.
THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING – Galatians 2:10
Remember the poor (This list will keep you humble and effective in the Kingdom)
THE KINGDOM PRINCIPLE OF REMEMBERING – 2 Timothy 2:8
Remember that Jesus Christ is raised from the dead
Remember that life has slapped death in the face.
Remember that JESUS “called the shot” and prophesied that on the third day, He would rise again.
Remember that for those of us who are in Christ, death has no sting and the grave no victory.
Remember that Jesus didn’t just raise from the dead for Him. He is risen for all believers for all time.
This is what I remember when I am facing my own mortality.
This is what I think of when I begin to feel overwhelmed.
I will remember that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead.
And when I remember that Jesus is risen from the dead, I remember that nothing is impossible.
REMEMBERING AND BEING WATCHFUL QUALIFIES US TO ESCAPE TERRIBLE THINGS AND ENTER INTO WONDERFUL THINGS.
Joshua 24:15 – “And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

From Victory to Victory
Isaiah 5:20 – Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
So much of what was hidden is now obvious. Conspiracy theories are now our headlines. The devil is a liar who seeks to deceive us, a tempter who wants to enslave us, and a murderer who tries to kill us. He is an accuser who seeks to condemn us. You are not of His camp. Be brave and outlast the culture of the day.
Declaration: I will not let lawlessness make my heart grow cold. I was made to bring goodness in the face of great evil. I will stand.
FROM VICTORY TO VICTORYThe Bible speaks of “a land flowing with milk and honey.” That means empowerment. It means fertility and reproduction. If it’s “flowing,” that means it’s constant.
In the Promised Land, things are flowing. There’s a flow that happens when you get into the Holy Spirit. You go from one place to another – here a little, there a little, line upon line, precept upon precept, from glory to glory, deep unto deep. Amen. You just go from one level to the next level and you’re flowing with it.
I’m talking about an environment that’s nuclear powered. It’s not temporary or seasonal. It’s a sustained all-the-time power.
It’s not “on again, off again” like the Old Testament. God’s on. God’s off. God’s happy. God’s mad. The people are following Him. The people are worshipping idols. It’s like watching a tennis match! Do you have good days and bad days? When you abide in His presence, it’s all good! Check out this psalm:
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” – Psalms 16:11
And if you think God is bipolar, I can guarantee He’s not.
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5. (KJV)
In Promised Land living, God’s goodness concerning His kingdom and of His peace, my friends, there shall be no end. The place that God has for you is flowing.
Remain in His presence. Don’t just go to Him when things look bad or be a “visitor.” Stay with Him and His blessings will not only flow, they will pursue you all the days of your life – from victory to victory!
