HAPPY DAY

. . until there was only one left—his son, whom he loved dearly. The owner finally sent him, thinking, ‘Surely they will respect my son.’ Mark 12:6 NLT 

I was born in the flesh on December 6th, and I think today is a great day to understand that the Lord wants us to see His prophetic fingerprint and hear His amazing message through thunderous headlines.  To do that, we have to really understand God’s language through the number six. The number for human beings, mankind, and the flesh is the number six. Redeemed or not, He stamps the number six on it.  

There is a prophetic word for all humankind in achieving the ultimate and overcoming fear, sin and death in the dramatic headlines of the Apollo 11 moon landing and the “man” on the moon. 

Maybe somebody noticed this when they saw the Apollo spacecraft flying to the moon at 24,000 miles per hour. That’s six miles every second. Maybe they started to see a prophetic pattern when they noticed the moon was 240,000 miles away. That’s 6 x 40,000.  Perhaps somebody caught it when President Nixon made the greatest long-distance phone call in all history to speak to them. You can’t get a signal today, but somehow, the 37th president’s big-knuckled finger dialed 666666 and spoke to them live in front of the world.  

In the natural, the number six has an amazing pattern, throughout history and in the Scriptures, as being God’s watermark for an authentic production of the flesh. We know the flesh is in opposition to the Spirit. Public enemy #1 is not the devil or the world. The biggest problem anyone has to deal with is the very flesh they are wrapped in and that grayish, wrinkled, six pounds of flesh between their two ears. 

Neil Armstrong stepped off the Eagle’s footpad and declared, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” His sixth word was man.  He later admitted that he accidentally left the “a” out of his well-rehearsed first words. The sixth word Armstrong spoke on the moon was “man,” and his first sentence ended with mankind. It was a mistake for the man, but it was prophetic from God.  

I’m so grateful I was born again and have not been bound by my flesh.  God made us flesh, but with His Spirit in us, we can overcome fear and do amazing things.   

Declaration: I have been born in the flesh and born again in the Spirit of God.  His Spirit in me gives me divine revelations, the strength to accomplish amazing things, and takes away all fear.  My life reflects The One Who gave it to me!

BREAD OF LIFE

BREAD OF LIFE

But He said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him:  how he entered the house of God and ate the showbread which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?  Matthew 12:3-4 NKJV   

History meets the present day when we consider how, like King David, we must enter the house of God and partake of the bread to have true life. King Jesus says in John 6:35 NKJV, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” Once we study and see that Jesus’ birthplace, Bethlehem, means “house of bread,” we start to get a clearer picture of the prophetic fulfillment we have in Jesus.   

You and I enter into everlasting life because bread from Heaven, the Word of God, touched down here on earth. Just like the Hebrews in the wilderness, the Father has supernaturally fed us, but instead of questioning what it is or calling it manna, we call out His name, Jesus!  

Declaration: I will call upon the name of the Lord! I will find refuge in the name of Jesus! Jesus, thank you for the brokenness of Your body on the cross so that I might be made whole. You are the Bread of life, and I have everlasting life in You.

ANOINTED FOR BURIAL

TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBERS

ANOINTED FOR BURIAL

Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil. John 12:3 NKJV  

Throughout the narrative of the four Gospels, over and over, we see that so many of those who Jesus loved and had as followers did not get it. They saw Him as the conquering king, there to free Israel from Roman occupation and lead a rebellious revolt to victory! That’s why John 6:15 records that the people sought to make Jesus king. There’s even a school of thought that believes Judas betrayed Jesus to the Pharisees in an effort to force His hand to begin a revolution against Rome.  

All of them were wrong. But some people, very few, understood that Jesus had come in order to die.  I imagine they were people well acquainted with Isaiah 53:7 NKJV: He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth.  

Imagine a young Jewish girl. She hears the prophecies of Isaiah being read aloud and the hope that they hold, especially Isaiah 61:1 NKJV: “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.”  

She treasures this hope in her heart, yet she’s keenly aware of the prophecy written in Isaiah 53:7. Somehow, they both describe the coming Messiah.  

Now imagine the young Jewish girl grown up and going through the seasons of life. Then, she meets Jesus face to face. She’s experienced His fulfillment of Isaiah 61 but knows that Isaiah 53:7 must be fulfilled, too.  

But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me. For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always. For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for My burial. Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.” Matthew 26:10-13 NKJV  

Declaration: Jesus is the perfect sacrifice through which I experience reconciliation with the Father and the power to become a child of God!

THE SWADDLED BABE

THE SWADDLED BABE

And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger. Luke 2:12 NKJV  

When the angel came to the shepherds and said, “You will find Him lying in a manger, wrapped in swaddling clothes,” they knew exactly where to look — the place they went day after day! The Bible says angels appeared to the shepherds in the hills and told them the long-awaited messiah was born. Why the shepherds? Was it because they were lowly? No! These shepherds were the only ones who could certify the spotless lamb! 

And you, O tower of the flock, the stronghold of the daughter of Zion, to you shall it come, even the former dominion shall come, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem. Micah 4:8 NKJV  

This tower of the flock is just outside of Bethlehem city, but still within the region commonly known as Bethlehem, where Passover lambs were kept by specially trained and purified shepherds.  The lambs were born in this “tower of the flock” known as “Migdal Eder” under the watchful eye of the shepherds, who would then inspect and either certify them for use as sacrifices in the temple or designate them to be released for common use. The newly certified lambs would, according to some sources, even be wrapped in special swaddling clothes. Swaddling clothes were actually the leftover priestly garments – white robes stained with the blood of past sacrifices. These priestly robes were torn into strips and used for two purposes: 

The making of wicks for the Menorah and 
The wrapping of perfect sacrificial lambs – like Jesus.  

Declaration: Jesus is the Lamb that was slain before the foundations of the world. God Almighty prepared my redemption in the beginning, and He will bring it to completion through my salvation in Jesus Christ!

THE PROMISED KING

THE PROMISED KING

Now Samuel said to all Israel: “Indeed I have heeded your voice in all that you said to me and have made a king over you.” 1 Samuel 12:1 NKJV  

Israel indeed cried out for a king to rule over them, and God Almighty answered them, giving them a king of their choice. (1 Samuel 8:4-5) King Saul was the result, and his reign was riddled with rebellion and wickedness. However, God the Father had a plan of redemption in store, bringing forth a righteous and eternal King through the lineage of King David.  

Isaiah wrote in chapter 9, For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:6-7 NKJV)  

My friends, you, and I are on the other side of the fulfillment of this promise! King Jesus is alive! He came for the first time as a precious 6-pound Jewish baby boy—the Lamb to be slain for the sins of the world. He’s coming back! And this time, we’ll see Him as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords!  

Declaration: King Jesus will rule and reign in my heart and in my life. I will be loyal to Him and His Kingdom forever and ever!

EVEN SO, COME LORD JESUS 

“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:30 NKJV 

Are you ready for a heart check on something God’s holding me responsible for? Do we believe in God’s kindness? Of course! Do we believe in God’s goodness? Of course! Do we believe in God’s grace? Of course! But do we believe that God will absolutely hold us responsible for certain things and say, “I’m not playing with you; you’d better get this right?”  

 Do we believe that, Church? I believe that as much as I believe in eternity. 

I think there are some things you need to be bound and determined to get right. We have to decide we are not going to spend 20 years of our lives spinning our wheels anymore. 

We have to be the kind of people who not only believe that Jesus Christ is resurrected from the dead, but we need to be people who absolutely believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again.   

There’s a large population within the body of Christ that says it’s not really necessary to believe that Jesus rose from the dead. They say we don’t have to believe that, and we can still be Christians. NO!   

We must believe the Gospel as Jesus defined it. He rose from the dead and is coming back again. There is no hope if Jesus Christ did not rise from the dead. Why would you follow Him if He did not resurrect from the dead? Because He’s cool? Well, there are cool people everywhere. 

We’re following Him because He is God Almighty in the flesh. He came as a son to put a face on the Father so we know what God looks like. He ascended and said He’s coming back.  

He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!  – Revelation 22:20 NKJV

It’s important that we are a church that believes Jesus is coming back. There’s a big difference between a Christianity that says it isn’t sure if Jesus is coming back and a Christianity that says, “I know for certain that Jesus is coming back.” We are a prophetic Church that believes in and looks forward to the glorious and imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ. 

Declaration:  Jesus saved and redeemed me; I know He is my Savior. I am grateful that He went through the painful agony leading to the cross to save my soul. I know His Word is True, and He said He is coming back. My life is lived in a way that will bring glory to Him every day I am on Earth and prepare me and those on this path to be His Spotless Bride.

VIEW FROM THE TOP

It’s time to hike up higher and see the view from God’s perspective. He is ready to show you his heart in the matter you’re seeking Him about, so rise up. Jesus is the Rock.

“The  Lord  is  my rock and my  fortress and my deliverer;  The God of my strength,  in whom I will trust; My shield and the  horn of my salvation, My  stronghold and my  refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence. – 2 Samuel 22:2-3 NKJV

According to Second Samuel, we Christians possess a God-given ability to climb out of whatever mental mess we find ourselves in.  He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places. – 2 Samuel 22:34 NKJV

Psalm 61:2 takes this a step further, From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

When David says he will cry out to God from the ends of the world, he’s not talking about a location. The translation could be “at the end of my rope.” Your ability to find God when you’re at the end of your rope is based upon your ability to seek Him when you’re at wit’s end.

Most of us get frustrated, throw a fit, or turn away from God when the world crashes down around us. We need to remember Jesus said at His ascension that He would be with us to the ends of the earth. He is the Rock who higher than us that King David was talking about. We can lift our eyes to Him, knowing He’s where our help comes from.

You and I have access to a mental download from Christ’s mind. If we can see things the way God sees them, we will not be overwhelmed. It is the view from above, from that Rock who is higher than we are. Jesus will give us that view when we consecrate our minds to Him concerning whatever threatens to overwhelm us. Submitting our minds to Christ is the key to having true mental victory.

Declaration:  I want a higher view of my life than I have ever had. My Lord, I ask you to tell me things I’ve never known before. Show me things from a different, higher perspective, and help me hold on to that vision. I will steward what God reveals and trust Him in all things.

MAKE IT THANKSGIVING 

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Psalm 107:1 NKJV 

In an incredible way, the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is not just that Jesus Christ died on a cross so that you can be saved. That’s wonderful, and we have to believe in that, but it’s actually so incomplete. You have to understand the rest of the story.  

Jesus Christ died on the cross so you can be saved, yes. But the big deal is He rose again and invited you to know God as Father. Did you hear that? Father! That makes you a son or a daughter. Not a servant. Not as a slave or a citizen. You have a seat at the table.  

My friend, you actually have a place in His house, so much so that Jesus said, Because of me, when you come before the Lord, I don’t want you to come before Him in any kind of religious way whatsoever. I want you to come to Him through me, and once you come through me, this is how it works: ‘Dad, I’m home.’ 

“Wait! What? You can’t just walk in God’s house and declare that you’re home.” Yeah, you can. God Almighty is so happy to be a Father – a Dad. You have to understand that you don’t need to be afraid to ask Him for things because a good daddy is a good provider. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and that means those cattle belong to you, too.  

and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. – Romans 8:17 

First, Jesus comes and introduces God as a Father, and people are blown away. Then He does the unthinkable and says, “I’m your big brother. I want to share my inheritance with you. Everything the Father owns is mine, and I’m happy to share it with you.” One of those things is a seat at the table–the family table. Have you seen the chair? Pull it up and sit down. You’re invited and empowered to know God as Father today. You’re welcome! 

Declaration:   My heart is filled with gratitude.  God has been so good to me; I must praise Him for His goodness.  Today, I will remember that He has called us to be united as His family and give thanks together in love and in one accord.

POWER COMES FROM KINGDOM MINDS

“Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” John 11:27 NKJV 

The church of Jesus Christ should be Kingdom of God-oriented and not personal empire-oriented. Don’t ask me to participate in your personal empire because I want no part in it. Empires fall without exception, but the Kingdom of Jesus Christ will indeed last forever. And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His Kingdom, there shall be no end. – Luke 1:33 KJV 

My life belongs to the Lord. Whatever I can do to build His Kingdom, I’ll do it. If that means helping a Baptist brother with his outreach or helping a Methodist brother with his revival, I’ll do it because it is not about me. It is about Jesus Christ and Him glorified. It is not about building something for me. It is about the building of His awesome Kingdom.

The Body of Christ is not a worldwide organization. It is a living organism that miraculously grows by the Spirit of God. This Body transcends race, language, culture, geographical location, and even generation.

It is not the generation that lifts up Jesus that is glorified; it is Jesus Himself. The Body is not ours, but the Lord’s. So it is with our thinking. My mind belongs to Jesus and forever will be in service to the King.

A Kingdom mentality keeps me submissive in my thinking and allows Jesus to truly be King, even in the secret areas of my thoughts. The greatest of all commandments was made clear on a bright sunny day some 2,000 years ago.  Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38 NKJV

Jesus said it then, and He is saying it now: our number one priority is to love God. Not just in our physical actions, but in our mental and emotional realms as well. He is faithful in serving us, so let us be faithful in serving Him. May God bless and invade your soul.

Declaration:   Today I will ask Jesus to search my heart to see if there is any hidden thing I need to heal and release. I don’t want anything to be in the way of my full adoration and love for my Savior. I will steward my thoughts and keep them aligned with the mind of Christ. I walk in the joy of my salvation.

SUPERNATURAL REVELATION

SUPERNATURAL REVELATION 

So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch. Acts 11:26 NKJV  

Your childlike heart and trust in the Lord are going to take you into a more intimate setting. This is where the spirit of revelation will come upon you in a new and fresh way. You will have soul food and spirit food like John at the Last Supper and like people who lived their lives with their heads on the chest of the Lord. People who are in rhythm with the heartbeat of God are people with great revelation. People who are after revelation are bold, childlike, and prepared to go wherever He sends them.  

Now, Revelation doesn’t just say it’s out there. Revelations say go get it. A revelation of the Word of God is not the end game of our walk; it’s merely the beginning. We’ve all been there. We’re reading the Word, and suddenly, the Lord breathes upon the Scriptures, and they come alive. We have a new understanding of God or the next step to take on our journey.  

The same thing happens with nature or the words of a song or a sermon. All of a sudden, God is talking just to you. Something clicks within your soul; it moves down to your spirit, and you get it. Now, revelation is not given just to add another wrinkle to your brain.  

God doesn’t care if you know about Him. What He wants is for you to know Him through personal experience. So, revelation is an invitation to step into what God says can be. He invites you to take a step forward in His great plan for you.  

Revelation is the key to unlocking barriers so you can move forward in life and your relationship with him.  

 Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.  Matthew 18:2-4 NKJV 

Declaration:   Oh, how I love my Savior, Jesus.  He is my Beloved; I rest in Him, and I seek to hear His heartbeat so my heart can beat with His.  I listen to hear everything He wants to say to me.  Today, I celebrate being loved by Him.
