Now what?
The Wranglers were talking about a topic for this week. Monday’s my day and, in D’Ann’s words that I always love repeating, “I had nuthin’.” Finally D’Ann mentioned goals. And Shawn said, Yeah, goals. We seem, as a group, to be wandering a bit. We know what we want to do—sort of—but are having trouble settling in. The words lost and blind were used.
We had a good year in 2012, with I’m not sure how many books out, how many manuscripts finished, how many...

Simple Decadence
On Liz's blog tour the last couple of weeks, she's been giving away a cup and saucer. And there's something that's just kind of quaint and decadent about a cup and saucer. After my dad passed away almost four years ago, my mom, two sisters, and I have started a tea tradition. It began because it was too hard to celebrate our birthdays without Dad--especially on my mom.
And even though the pain is no longer raw, we've continued our tea birthdays--mine is two weeks from today--and we've got...

Welcome Author Ella Jade!
Hiya, WordWrangler Readers! It's out pleasure today to spotlight author Ella Jade's new book, Something More. Read on for a great excerpt!
Author Bio:
Ella Jade has been writing for as long as she can remember. As a child, she often had a notebook and pen with her, and now as an adult, the laptop is never far. The plots and dialogue have always played out in her head, but she never knew what to do with them. That all changed when she discovered the eBook industry. She started penning nove...

Ready for Monday?
Hiya, everyone! Kristina here, filling in for Liz who has a family emergency this week... I'm not used to posting on Mondays. It's kind of nice and shiney and...fresh in here. I like it! I have no idea what to blog about, but I like it!
Oh, I know, I can blog about Mondays: Mondays are definitely not my favorite day of the week. I may or may not have rambled on about this before, but I'm not a morning person. Not even a little bit. bebe seems to have inherited my don't-do-mornings gene by osmo...

Only In My Dreams
We're talking about favorite escapes at Word Wranglers this week. Anyone who knows me knows my favorite escape place. My dreams. Like Margie, I've had the big author moment daydreams, but my favorite dreams are the ones I have when I'm sleeping.
One night I dreamed that hubby and I were on a motorcycle ripping down the road. (Can't explain this because you couldn't pay me to get on a motorcycle.) Hubby had one arm around my waist, pinning me against him. I couldn't move. The wind and the engi...

Of Legos and Daydreams
This week, we've been talking about escaping. Like everyone else, I love the beach--although my beaches here on the Oregon or Washington coasts, are a little bit different from the sun-drenched sandy havens Liz described. A good day at the Oregon coast means it didn't rain. But, a bad day at the beach is still better than no day at the beach.D'Ann said books--and yep, also one of my fave escapes. Kristi said baths--yep again. So--I'm going with my two other faves.
Legos and daydreams--us...

Calgon, Take Me Away!
On Sunday of this week, we WordWranglers desperately brainstormed a topic for this week's posts. That brainstorming went something like this: "Topic?" "Unnnnnnn" "Hmmmmmmmm..." "I have nothing." And around and around in circles we went. How can we be out of topics so early this year?
I totally blame the winter and the flu viruses that are going around and the overwhelmingly busy holiday season we've just exited.
Finally we hit on a topic that sounded fun - likely because any kind of escape from...

Escaping!
An escape?
That's the topic of the week here on Wordwranglers.
It's been especially bitter this January. Temps hovering around the zero mark in the mornings. I just hate it. There's nothing good about wintertime in my opinion.
Going on vacation isn't an option. Too many animals, too little money. So, where do I go to escape?
Books!
Ha!
Where else?
Want to hear something funny? The last book I read was a Fern Michael's Christmas anthology. No sun or beaches in that one. Lots of snow.
But it wasn't about...

There's a world where I can go...
The Wranglers are talking about favorite escapes this week. Being a person who can barely tolerate television married to a television worshiper has made me an often frustrated expert on the subject. I think three or four hours a week is a good amount of TV to watch. My hero thinks three or four hours before noon every day isn’t nearly enough. Yes, escape is important. ...
