Sometimes You Feel Like a Nut
Hiya, WordWrangler Readers! We have a special guest today. Author Shay Lacy is talking about the crazy side of story ideas. Shay, take it away!
Sometimes You Feel Like a Nut...
Or often, in my case. Why do other people make me feel like a nut? Is it the questions I ask? Like for Hero Needed, released Oct. 22ndfrom Crimson Romance, “Can a train traveling 30 mph kill someone pushed in front of it?” After wide-eyed stares, the most common response was, “Why would somebody use a train to kill inste...

Pulling Strings

And you're not going to get much more than that about Crewel today either. Two thumbs way up. Loved this story. Loved Genn's world-building and can't wait for the next one. That's the trouble with reading the first book in a series when it premieres--you have to wait so,so, sooo long...

Inspiration Comes From Strange Places
On my wall in my office (the living room) is a cherry tree branch. Because of the way our living room is set up, the wall with the branch is actually the best place for my desk so I look at it. Greetings and a giveaway from Cera duBois

I love life-changing moments, especially other people’s. Can you give us one of yours?
Although, not earth-shattering within the least, the thing that has changed my life the most—besides marriage, kids, career changes—is the day I nervously posted my very first Star Wars fan fiction story on The Force. net. ...

Where Have All The Heroes Gone?

The dilemma arose as I was working on my Bix rewrites in which I had him think,
I wish I could be the guy who has the confidence to grab the girl and just plant a kiss on her. Think Indiana Jones.

And then the writer in me thought, "I need a more contemporary reference."

It's October--make your appointment!
[image error] Okay, I know this is pink. I know this is supposed to be a writing blog and this isn't about writing. I know it looks dumb, but, hey...I'm talking about breasts here. Boobs. Jugs. Tatas. Other euph--I've forgotten how to spell that word--that are even less elegant. And I'm talking about breast cancer. You know, that nasty disease represented by that ribbon over there?
We've got some "experts" saying don't bother with mammograms, don't examine yourself. I'd venture to say most of them hav...
