Bits, Bits, and More Bits
It’s time for Friday bits!
If you could be any animal for an hour, what animal would you be? A candy that instantly brings you back to being a kid? Something you’d still like to do before summer is over? If you could redo any one house in your room, what would you choose?Have a great weekend, everyone! I’m off to see DD # 1 in her last performance of the summer season and then I get to bring her home for 2 whole weeks!!!!!

A Subtle Change
With copyedits now complete for DEATH IN ADVERTISING, it’s time to start digging into writing book # 2 in that series. Since it’s first person (told through the eyes of the main character, Tobi Tobias) and everything else I’vewritten is third person,it always takes me a little while to get into that groove. That said, it’s kind of fun to switch it up a little for a while.
So that’s where I am, writing-wise, at the moment.
Any writing-related/book-related questions I can answer today?

Postcards From The Road…
One of my favorite parts of this whole crazy writing journey is getting to sit down and talk to readers. Last night, I got to do that at Aaron’s Bookstore in Lititz, PA. The store’s mystery book club met to talk about Éclair and Present Danger and Sam, one of the shop’s owners, made desserts based on the book!
If you’ve read the book, you’ll recognize the One Smart Cookie on this dessert table…
And here’s me, waiting for the chat to start…
I had a great time seeing everyone who came out for...

My Bookmark Is In…
Now that things are settling down around here again, I’m back to working out. Which means I’m also back to reading (yay!).
I’m about halfway through Among the Wicked by Linda Castillo and loving every word of it!
What are you reading?

Three Things
Three things from my weekend that were nice…
DD # 2 and I spent some time walking around Bear Mountain State Park on Friday. She took this picture of a bench overlooking the lake. Peaceful, isn’t it?
DH and I saw a concert on Friday evening. I kind of went along for the ride on this one, but it ended up being fun!
And after nearly three weeks of not being in the mindset to work, I dug into copy edits for Death in Advertising. And no, this isn’t the cover, it’s merely a placeholder until the...

Edits and a Field Trip
Today, I’m delving into copy edits for Death in Advertising (book # 1 in next year’s Tobi Tobias Mysteries). It’s an E-series debuting with Kensington in February. Once these copyedits are done, it’s on to writing book # 2 and # 3 in the series as all three will be released in 20017.
As for a blog, I’m over at WHODUNIT AUTHORS today. Come on by and say hi.

Treat, Please
While I should probably be getting back to work after my break-that-wasn’t-even-close-to-a-break, I think I’m going to spend the afternoon with DD # 2.
No set plans yetother than securing a salted caramel milkshake.
In Your Hands
So I haven’t been reading anything as of late, so tell me what you’re reading…

Some Day Soon…
My apologies for disappearing the past two weeks.
There was a tragedy in the family and today is really the first day I’ve been able to think.
DD # 2 captured this photo a few days ago. It’s a promise, of sorts, that there will be sunny days again.
Treasure the memories that make you happy. They are yours forever.
