Yesterday, I told you I was going to be playing a little hooky last night with my kids. I also said, I’d be sure to share some pictures. So here we go…

Technically it’s tonight, but that means I have work to do this morning to make up for it.

The weekends sure do go by in a blur at this time of year, don’t they?

I picked up DD # 1 for her winter break. She’s home now for the next month (yay!)…

I went to a football game (Dolphins vs. Jets). Although the picture is blurry, this is the pretzel (odd shape, I know) I got during the game.

The Best of the Lead-Up

With the holidays around the corner, I’m wondering about your favorite holiday (non-Christmas Eve/Day) tradition. Meaning, is there something you like to do each year in the lead-up to the holiday?

For me, when the kids were little, a trip to Silver Dollar City in Branson was in order sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The lights, the strong Christian message, the music, and the overall atmosphere always helped get us in the mood.

Three Things

This weekend is a little tougher to pull three things from, mostly because it went by in a blur. But I’ll give it my best shot…

DH, DD # 2, and I went out do dinner Friday night and then went home and watched some of the earliest episodes of The Middle (I’ve only seen sporadic episodes of this show, but love them).

Saturday, DH and I had a couple over for dinner & dessert. We played Settlers of Catan, too. It was a nice evening.

And yesterday? Well I wrote (a lot) and wandered around Target...
