Reflection on Current Events
We’ll be honest, the past week has been tough to process. My family and I just returned from camping over the weekend to celebrate Adam and Tobias’ birthdays. It was really shocking and devastating coming back and seeing cities burning, rioting, racial injustice coming to the forefront and just so much unrest. It’s so painful seeing this and very hard to process how to react. Not to mention where...

Train Your Thoughts
If you tell yourself you can’t do something (eat healthy, get fit, accomplish a goal) it is very likely that you won’t. But if you believe you can, and then put some daily action with your belief…YOU WILL. When I found out I was pregnant with Tobias my first thought was actually, “I can’t do this!” The timing was not what I had planned and I was naturally fearful of this big change in our life.

Our Fav Campfire Dinner
Some of Adam’s favorite memories growing up in Kansas were camping and making Campfire Dinners with his dad. The smell of delicious veggies and meat cooking over open coals is really hard to beat! To this day, we still love camping as a family or staying in a cabin in the mountains and making amazing meals outside. It’s definitely becoming a tradition for us. Whether you have camping plans this...

Peace is Possible
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:4-7 I find...

Made for Wonderful Things
I’ve found it so important to have others who can help you along and join you in your aim toward big goals and changes. We all need a team and accountability. A community that cheers and supports is incredibly life-giving. And so is one that holds you accountable to a life of good morals. When I was a teenager, I had an awesome group of friends who loved surfing, sports, and being active.
