What I Want For Us All

I want to live in a world where we’re all able to navigate securely and confidently through life’s ups and downs. Where the crazy circumstances of life lead us to live more fully in our purpose, not knock us away from it. Being Unstoppable is not about being perfect, and perfection is not even the aim. Rather, let’s aim to be content with the beauty of now – to forgive, love and share life with...

Bethany’s Sun-dried Tomato Dip

Perfect for sharing with friends and family at home, or a complimentary dish at just about any dinner party or potluck. Enjoy it with veggies (my personal favorite), chips, or crackers! Did you know that sun-dried tomatoes, like their plump regular tomato counterparts, are full of antioxidants, vitamins, and good-for-you minerals? These red beauties are packed with high levels of lycopene and...

Limitations Aren’t Excuses

Losing my arm could have been an excuse for me to stop doing my most favorite thing in the whole world – surfing. But I am SO glad I didn’t let it stop me! What a loss that would have been. I really don’t even like thinking otherwise. Not limiting myself means I have given myself permission again and again to try the hard things, listen to my passion, and chase after what really excites me.

Our Love Story

While filming Unstoppable, our friend Aaron Lieber captured us telling some of our story and I hope you enjoy this fun edit he put together. I’m sure you will get a kick out of listening to the voicemail that started it all.

RSVP No, Thank you!

It’s even harder when you add what other people expect/need from you into the mix. But prioritizing the things you need – things like rest, supportive relationships, positive self-talk or mindset, nutritious foods, hard work, exercise, and moments of quiet and reflection – is so vital to living your best life! I’ve found that I have to make actual space in my life for the things I prioritize or...

Meet Mike Coots

Sometimes these people are individuals I have had crossover with and respect and admire like Nick Vujicic (Overcoming Obstacles), Laird Hamilton & Gabby Reese (Training Your Mind), or Arielle Estoria (Letting Go of Comparison). And sometimes these people have been individuals who are part of my regular life and have been for a long time, like Sarah Hill (Blessing Others)...

Is “Wonder Woman” the goal?

I have tons of support from my amazing husband. We are a parenting team and we work together! We are constantly conspiring how to best love and raise our boys, while also giving each other the space to pursue our own passions and interests and needs. I also have a family that cheers me on and helps me out, and a team of like-minded, like-hearted people behind me. I believe there is a team behind...

Hopping Wallabies Exercise

Getting my body to move more fluidly and having stability, power, and stamina definitely helps me as a surfer when I get thrashed around in the ocean, but it also helps me in the daily physical grind of motherhood and life. Over the years, my trainer Dustin has come up with an awesome approach to my fitness that has totally revamped the way I work out. Our major focus is posture...

Better Together

I hope that in my documentary, Unstoppable, it’s clear that from childhood to motherhood, my family and friends, even my competition, helped me to get to where I am and be who I am. From a very young age, surfing was always a family activity – we had fun and pushed each other and that’s how I got better. Later, training with coaches and friends became essential in helping my surfing improve...

Resilient

Have you ever thought about the fact that the only way babies learn to walk is by falling? Over and over and over again, they topple, they teeter, they crash. And over and over and over they get back up and try again. The fact that we are all walking around only happened because we were brave, we had a goal (reaching that toy or those loving arms), and we brushed off our failed attempts and tried...
