Free Fiction Friday - Let The River Run - Part 8

Welcome back to Free Fiction Friday!

Not a lot to say, really, just feeling better not that I'm getting back into it all. I'd highly suggest that not only the newcomers click the "free fiction fridays" tag this week to catch up, since you guys might need a little refresher considering that last time I updated Chuck's story was before the sabbatical. I'm going to try to get the next chapter done by next week, but we'll have to see. If it's not up next Friday, then definitely the week after. I'm...

Free Fiction Fridays returns tonight with a new chapter of "Let The River Run" at 12:01am.

Also, I'm thinking about re-working "Dead In The Water" into something novel-length, mostly by adding in a "romantic" subplot, and a little more action and exposition here and there, and try to make it all not look like 35k words of padding.

Anyway, see you all tonight!

Oh Yeah...

It's Valentine's Day.

So uh... Have a good one.

Yeah. :)

When you're a lonely and pathetic writer like I am, you tend to distract yourself by coming up with little holiday scenarios for your characters, wondering how they would be spending the holiday.

Lennox: Lennox is Pagan, but he probably would do something anyway with Darren. I can definitely see them doing the "traditional" Valentine's: Dinner out at a nice place, then back to their place for some tender lovemaking. If Karden were in the...

Free Fiction Friday: Cheater's Edition 2

I honestly don't know why Chuck's being so damned difficult. I open the file, I look at the story, and the words just don't come.

Stress levels are starting to recede, as I've had a difficult time of it lately, and while it's not all sunshine and bunnies, it's certainly a damned sight better than it was. Keep on keeping on, right? I'd like to think that's why Chuck and Fred haven't been all that talkative.

In the meantime, The Last Paladin: The Rites of Spring will be coming out in April, so I...

Lightning Rod has been submitted to Samhain. Please re-cross those fingers for me. :)

Also, for those who've read it, how appropriate that the song Winamp picked at random was "Only" by Nine Inch Nails?

Free Fiction Friday: Cheater's Edition (NSFW)

This isn't an official welcome back to Free Fiction Friday, here, as this isn't a continuation of "Let The River Run". Nope, I'm cheating it, because House of Stone got picked up by Samhain, so I'm posting the first chapter for all to see and sample, even though I have no idea when it's coming out. :) Also, in other House of Stone news, my alma mater Oswego State University has requested a copy of the novel (when it comes out in print form) to put in the Alumni display in the Creative Writing...

Back From Sabbatical!

I'm afraid I'm going to have to cheat it a little this week with Free Fiction Friday. Mostly to celebrate House of Stone getting picked up, and The Last Paladin: The Rites of Spring coming out in April, the next two FFFs for me will be excerpt weeks, first the first chapter of Richard's story, and then the first section of Lennox's story next week. I will be returning to "Let The River Run" after that, but I'm easing back into the writing at this point, and want to work my way back up to a be...

Cover Art for The Last Paladin: The Rites of Spring

This one actually came out pretty nifty. :) As far as I know, the book itself comes out in April, I'll let you guys know any more details when I get them.

WARNING: Gamer Geek Post

If you aren't getting Mass Effect 2, well, just skip this post.

If you are, and you're getting it on the 360, well, click here!

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/106/1063174p1.html

You know how if you pre-order from one store, nowadays, they give you a special item, from another store, another item, and if you didn't pre-order, you're screwed?

Well, Microsoft made all of the Mass Effect 2 pre-order stuff available and free to download a couple hours ago. My only advice if you're getting the game? ...
