Quick Update...

Just letting everyone know that I got through the move okay. Everything isn't sorted out and set up yet, but it's on its way. Now that that's done, I can concentrate on the job hunt.

A Curious Query...

It seems weird to ask this, but one of my readers actually was curious about this, which was flattering and a bit odd at the same time: Which one of my characters would you want get with, sexually, as it were?

So as I'm not a little curious myself, and still feeling guilty about the whole "taking a sabbatical" thing, I'll even sweeten the pot: Vote, and leave a comment as to why you'd want to get with that particular guy, as opposed to the others, and I'll give you the final beta slot for Hous...

So it was 2:30am last night, and after finished up some work helping out a friend with his tele-commuting (which I did get paid for), I was staring at the screen, knowing how the scene with Chuck would work out, knowing what I needed to write, but nothing would come. I was actually panicking at one point because I needed to finish it off.

Another one of my friends who's familiar with my situation sent me an IM curious why I was up so late, so I pretty much told him everything that's been goin...

Driving home today, lake snows expected, and the house will be rather cold as we turned down the heat before we left. I'm considering plugging my nose with tissue and taking a very hot bath, if it's possible, when I get home considering I've gone through a few boxes of tissue and have regressed into the "pathetic" stage of the common cold.

Yesterday I tried, I REALLY tried to get work done on Chuck, but my grand total for the weekend is like... 500 words.

Updates!

Xmas: Gifts were decent, cookies were awesome, I've got a good lead on a substituting job here and I mailed off my application and resume to them this morning.

The Move: It's all over but the actual moving. Got boxes lined up, just need to pick them up, and the housemate's looking for some boxes as well. I've worked out the math, and it should all be doable in 2 trips absolute max.

Good News: Through the aid of some unexpected donations, and financial help from my family (which I REALLY wasn't expecting), it looks like I'll be able to rent the U-haul and move out of here before the end of the year, which means I'll be able to avoid paying for January, which would've seriously put me in a hole.

Bad News: Not really a downside here, other than me feeling like shit for having to beg for money. Again.
